Chapter 35

"There's really nothing you can do. If you're not interested, why does it matter what he does or who he chooses?"

I overhear Danielle talking to someone as I enter our room. Since she isn't at the table, I head for the nook area to find the table set for three with Han Lee sitting across from her. Granted, he's her cousin now, so I am not worried about that. I still get the feeling Han Lee doesn't like me very much. The look he gives me when I bend down to give Dani a kiss in greeting before sitting down shouts his disgust for me.

"By the way, Kurtis and I set appointments for the courthouse. He decided he would get the marriage license for himself and Astari. We will go together in the morning." I advise her as I serve myself some of the food set there. Han Lee says nothing, but I can tell he's not fond of the idea.

"Fine. I am not so sure we should take the same car." Dani tells me as she takes a bite.

"Why? What did you guys talk about?" I've been wondering all day. I thought about asking Kurtis but opted for just talking to Dani directly.

"She's upset about what I did with all the secretaries and that I want to get revenge on Stephanie. Or Alisha. I hate that she changed her name." She grumbles. I can't help but laugh.

"What does that have to do with her? Why does she care?" Han Lee's annoyance seeps through his tone.

"Seems she's finally entered the world of romance. Females are emotional creatures. I'm sure she will come around eventually. Even if she doesn't, she won't be here to glare daggers at me at every turn." Dani brushes it off as if it's not paramount. I cannot tell if she's upset about it, but she sounds too flippant toward someone she's known for 12 years.

"True… About that… Kurtis wants me to leave with him. He's heading back to the East side after your birthday. He doesn't want me to stay around the Yaotiáns for much longer. I don't blame him, but… I thought you should know." Han Lee informs us.

"It's definitely a good idea, but… what about Hyun-Ki? Are you just going to leave him here?" I don't mean to pry, but I thought they were joined at the hip. Now that I think about it, it's pretty odd that Han Lee's here without him. The atmosphere became uncomfortable around Dani and tense around Han Lee. "Did I miss something?"

"It's nothing." Han Lee waves me off and continues eating his food.

"Is this about YunChi?" I finally cannot help but inquire.

"Why would you think that?" His response is guarded, and so he gives himself away. I consider for a moment before I decide to just tell him. He'll find out eventually, anyway.

"I just saw them in the hallway. Actually, we all left a meeting together, and YunChi accosted Hyun-Ki. They got into some kind of argument. It took Lord Shi to pull YunChi away while Jongsu and Kinta got Hyun-Ki. After that, Lady Yanyun appeared and took YunChi away."

"Seriously? He just jumped Hyun-Ki? That seems excessive." Dani looks surprised and pissed off.

"What did they argue about?" Han Lee calmly asks. He is still eating as if he's not bothered by it all.

"Hmm…Uh… it's…." Really hard to say.

I take a few more bites chewing slowly. Han Lee patiently waits, finishing his meal and pushing his plate forward. Realizing he will probably wait all day, I finally concede.

"Hyun-Ki became angry about how YunChi manhandled him and told him they were not together. Said they never were, and he's moving on. They went back and forth for a while, and I discovered that YunChi had just married a little over a week ago. Then YunChi said something about never letting Hyun-Ki go. This caused Hyun-Ki to lose patience, and they began fighting. That's when Lord Shi and I finally jumped in. Thankfully, Jongsu and Kinta showed up. I was worried I was about to get hit. I'm mad Kurtis just stood there watching the whole thing with the Yaotián brothers."

"I see…" Han Lee stands, bows to me then leaves the table. "See you tomorrow night Dani. Congratulations on the nuptials."

We both watch him leave the room.

"If they say threes a crowd. What do you call all the people in this house? A mob?" Dani remarks as she pushes her plate forward.

"Yea, it was much more relaxed before all these people showed up. This is why my father made sure we had Guest houses. He didn't have to deal with drama even if there was drama."

"Did that really happen with Hyun-Ki and Wen YunChi?" Dani asks me from the bedroom.

"Yep. I was surprised as well. I thought Han Lee and Hyun-Ki were odd. Still, I never knew Hyun-Ki to actually be in a relationship with a man before."

"You've known him for so long and never knew he liked men?" I can tell she thinks I'm daft from her tone.

"No, I knew he didn't have a preference when just playing around. But an actual relationship is totally different."

Finally finished eating, I push a button on the table to alert the butler, then find Danielle wrapped in a robe and some sort of powder in a bag in one hand. She was heading for the bathroom when I clasp her hand in mine. Stopping, Dani turns to face me, and I notice the bag has a card attached to it. Searching her face, she shrugs and sighs while passing the bag to me and then heading back to the bathroom.

"I need that, so please don't throw it."

Dani takes the robe off, and I see the scar that's healed up from when she was young across her back. It's faded enough that it's not so obvious. Her back dimples flirt with my senses. I cannot help but watch her step into the pool on the floor and wade to deeper waters before leaning back on her back, dunking her tresses into the water. The coils spread out around her head, and she sighs in relaxation, closing her eyes. I return to the bag before me and open the card attached with a ribbon.

"Elle,

Put this in the water in your bathroom pool. It'll help. You'll need it for tomorrow. Don't forget to use your plunger if you get irritated.

~ Xiao."

"Is Xiao who I think it is?"

"Probably. Just can you put half of it in the water, please?" Dani responds, still in an utterly zen mood while I'm doing my best to remain calm.

"Why would Xiao-He be sending you something like this? What is it? What plunger is he talking about?" Her eyes gradually begin to open. She slowly turns upright and then faces me. Her curls are coyly wrapped around her breasts, and she watches me as I gawk at her.

"Come here, Li, but first, pour half of that in the pool and take your clothes off." I admire her curvaceous frame a bit longer before peering back at the note on the powder. I dump half of it into the pool as she asked, then disrobe. Her eyes take in every move I make. She doesn't move or react. Just stands there boldly surveying my body. Once I am fully undressed, she smiles a sultry smile and reaches her hand out to me.

Never seeing this side of her before, and I am conflicted. She just patiently waits, her arm never lowering. Once I am close enough, I take her hand and pull her to me. Dani smiles as if she expected it. Taking both her hands, She wets them and then runs her fingers through my hair. Her eyes never leave mine. The tension is thick but not uncomfortable.

Danielle then brings my head down to her and kisses me deeply. I can taste the metallic twang of blood and try to pull away, but she refuses to let me go as she plays with my tongue even more. Her fingers fisting in my hair, I squeeze her waist closer to me. She deepens the kiss even further before finally releasing me and suckling on my neck. I groan into her ear, and I can feel her smile. She gives me one last lick before gently pulling away.

"The powder is an herbal remedy for healing and cleansing a Woman's body naturally. The plunger is if I need more direct cleansing. However, you can be my plunger if you like. Just be gentle. It's been a long time since you've entered me." Dani looks up at me through those thick fringed lashes. I squeeze her even tighter. I trail my fingers up and down her spine while contemplating what she just told me.

"Why would you tell me you are injured, then tell me it's fine and seduce me in the same sentence? I feel like I want to wring the girl's neck and fuck you simultaneously. But then I want to beat the shit out of Prince Xiao-He for even knowing that you're hurt in such a sensitive area way before I do and dares to send you gifts. He uses a nickname that I have only heard one other person use and allows you to call him by his nickname that only his family uses. Dani, am I not allowed to be insanely jealous right now?"

"I cannot tell you how to feel, but I can tell you that you are the only man I want and that I have been with my entire life. I can also tell you that he sent these over because you said something about the marriage certificate to him. He's just trying to help you out. Don't stress the rest." She tells me, her fingers massaging my scalp.

"Fine, but I am not going to wear protection. I'm aiming for children."

"Mm." She finally relents. At my limit of restraint, I lift her up and slowly work my way into her. Her gasps and her body's warmth around my shaft are enough to release me. I set her down and slowly guide her to the wall as I demand her tongue to play with mine. Her caresses and sweet moans get me excited all over again.

Turning, I sit on the ledge, allowing her to ease herself onto my lap. Once fully seated, she wraps her legs around my waist, grabs my hair, and gazes deeply into my eyes as she starts to move. My hands grip her buttocks and begin to guide her. Dani's movements become frenzied, and her head lulls back as she finally cries out. Her body thrums as the orgasms crash through her.

"I guess, but don't Americans have second names? What do you call them?"

"Oh, like a middle name?"

"Yea, like a middle name. Do you have one of those?"

"No. Really, I don't. If I had one at all, it would be my mother's maiden name, and truthfully, I would rather not be called Shyo." Dani says to me, her hot breath getting me aroused again. "Li, if you want to make it to court in the morning, this has got to be our last time. I'll be too tired and sore if we continue."

"Fine, just this last time, I will clean you up. Where's the plunger anyway?"

"It's in my vanity drawer. I can do it myself."

"No, I will do it but first…." I gave her no room to argue and finished what we started before doing as I promised, putting her to bed and passing out shortly after.
