Chapter 81

Jessica’s POV

“Seth, when you said there will be twists and turns and our plans will change constantly; I didn’t think it would be this bad” I tell him. “It may not be Alpha Darius or Luna Jada; they would have their meetings too and the Turquoise Moon informant may be their Betta, Gamma or anyone in their leadership circle” he informs Alex, Toby, Olivia and myself.

“I still don’t like it; Mum, Mum, Leanne, Cynthia and Doc Spencer, need to come home. Harry was saying Jasper wants to come and help get Sophia back; he had to convince him it was too dangerous” Toby replies. “His 16; I understand, Sophia is all he has; but it is too dangerous for him” Caitlyn announces. I was going to respond ‘No shit;’ but thought it best to smile and nod my head in agreeance.

We reach the safehouse and hear a car speeding up from behind. We all turn to see who it was. Jeremy was driving and two others were in the backseat holding onto a man with copper coloured hair. He screeches the car and the two men throw the other man out of the car. Jeremy gives us a wink and speeds off again.

“Fucking hell” I scream; as we all ran to the man on the ground. “Pedro?” Master Joe yells. He groans and rolls over, there is blood around his stomach and a note around his neck. ‘Don’t mess with us.’

“Get him inside” Toby yells and Master Joe and Seth pick Pedro up and put an arm around each shoulder; carrying him inside to the common room. “Are you ok, Pedro?” Olivia asks. “Yeah; it’s fake” he tells us; pulling an empty blood bag off his stomach.

“What the fuck is wrong with you people?” I scream. “Jeremy got caught calling on one of the burners. It was a new phone and I added a few people on all the phones to make it look like it was his new phone. Carter destroyed the phone and told Jeremy to prove his allegiance to him; he needed to kill me and dump the body; apparently you have experience in faking deaths” he chuckled.

“Did the other two, know it was faked?” I asked. “No; bears are good a hibernating; I got Sparty to slow my breathing to make it look like I was dead; we had a plan in place just in case. Carter has asked a few people before to kill someone close to them, to show allegiance” he tells us.

“Seth; I hate your brother more and more; each time I learn something new about him” I fume. “That goes double for me” Harry pipes in. “And me” Renee injects.

“I think, it goes for all of us” Alex says. “We need to stop this asshole once and for all” I spit. “Pedro; I’ll show you to Jeremy’s room, you can get yourself cleaned up and then we need to have a chat with you” Toby says as my phone goes off.

“Take care of Pedro; it was him or one of your mum’s. I chose him. The ladies are still good. They have the burn spell back on the door, for their protection. Carter is becoming more unstable. That’s all he says” I tell everyone.

“We need to get this show on the road and I think Pedro is the key to do it” Hendrix tells us.

“We’ll wait for him and Toby to come back, have a talk with him and make plans to go and sort my brother out; once and for all” Seth seethes.

“Pedro, now we have you; let me introduce you to everyone” I tell him; “No need Jessica; Jeremy has already shown me who you all are. Olivia, Alex, Toby, Tim, Sam, Brian, Harry, Gerry, Seth, Renee, Harvey, Rami and Ben” he smiles at us. “I don’t know who you are” he looks at Hendrix and Silias.

Silias looks nervous; he hasn’t been himself for a few days. “We will talk with you about them, shortly” Seth says. “We need to know a few things first” Alex adds.

“The ladies were coming out of their room. Jeremy told Carter he was sent to keep an eye on them, for his support and help to train the guards and warriors; he was allowed to take care of them. Carter is getting more frustrated you haven’t come to get them yet” he starts. “That wasn’t the first questions we were going to ask; but it’s a start” I chuckle at him.

“What about the alliances? Do you know anymore?” Ben asks.

“We found out Luna Jada is messaging Sharon the information. From what was told to us; Sharon and Jada are second cousins. Jada is innocent enough; Sharon told her she was there against their will and needs to know what we are doing to get her out of there” he tells us. Samantha’s face is contorting; she is going to explode at her brother. “The only thing keeping Sharon and Richard alive is the text messages she receives. She’s been asking Greg; I’ve heard her scream at him over her phone, saying he is a fucking baby; Sam won’t hurt him. By the look on your face Sam; you don’t like Sharon and you will hurt Greg” he laughs.

Sam gasps at Pedro and starts giggling at he’s bluntness. “Hendrix; do you want to ask Pedro about the tunnels?” Brian asks him. “Leader Hendrix; I do know who you are. You had four tunnels, right? Carter had three of them sealed when we first moved into the territory; keeping the last one open for the dirtbag dealers to come and go undetected” Pedro confirms. I put my hand to my mouth to stop me from laughing. I like Pedro.

“You just confirmed what we needed to know; can you tell us what tunnels you sealed?” he asked. “We have the south one open and sealed the north, east and west tunnels” “Which south tunnel?” he asked. “There is only one south tunnel; it’s on the far-left side” he fumes. “And which north tunnel?” Hendrix asks. “The one in the centre; I don’t understand?” Pedro answers.

“Pedro; there were six tunnels, not four” Toby says to him. A smirk starts to appear on Pedro’s face; “Carter assumed there was a tunnel for each side of the territory. I can show you how to get around the cameras to get to the other two tunnels” “We were hoping you would” I say to him, smiling.

“How is the Agrius training going?” Seth asks. “It took some getting used to; Jeremy is one tough instructor, if we turn up late or do something wrong; we have to do laps of the training grounds. But we are all getting the hang of it” Pedro answers; “it’s the only way to teach you kids, discipline” Uncle Joe fumes and the rest of start laughing.

“How about; we meet up; tomorrow morning; to discuss; how we; can get; this plan; happening” Toby says between bouts of laughter as Uncle Joe is gives him a death stare.

“Good idea; will see everybody tomorrow” I say getting up to leave.
