Chapter 60 I Love You Too

Chapter 60 I Love You Too
Aiyana's P.O.V

For a few minutes, I melted into him. No thoughts, no complications, just him and me in his arms.

‘God, I could die happy right here.’ I thought to myself as I snuggled closer, unconsciously knowing that his men were not just gathered outside in their training formation for nothing.

They were going to retaliate and I knew that there was no way he wouldn't lead this one as Intel may have passed that he was unconscious.
Just some time here and I could already tell certain things as one had to be at least a tad bit wiser to survive another day in this world.

It was a known and certain fact that there was no mafia that didn't have infiltrators at every time in their dealings and there was no need trying to get them all as long as they were not assassins or posed a real threat.

I knew though that there was no way Jerome didn't know whoever, they were in his own gang, but he met them be.

Breaking the hug, he kissed my forehead, holding my hands like he didn't want to let go for a second and it took everything in me not to fight to follow or beg him to stay.

I didn't want him to leave, I didn't want him to fight. I knew I was being a weakling in this moment and should've known what I signed up for the second I started to like him but I couldn't help the selfishness I felt in this moment.
If I could, I would wrap him up and hide him from all this chaos but I couldn't. I could only pray that he stays safe and returns in one piece. Alive

As he stepped through the door, it felt like I was experiencing fear for the first time as goosebumps littered my skin.
The door also closed bringing a certain calm that made my life feel like it was on a dark pause.

Just me and three other guards who Jerome trusts with his life were somewhere in the house with their eyes on me even though I couldn't see them.

Hugging myself with my hands, I walked away from the door that opened the second I turned my back to it, revealing a slightly disheveled Jerome.

How he looked so restless and out of composure in such a short time was a mystery to me but more than that mystery, I was curious.

“Why did you…” I started but was cut off by his lips on mine as he crashed into me quite gently.

His lips on mine felt like an explosion of emotions in me. My stomach felt that drop that I couldn't explain and automatically, I kissed him back.

God, I felt like a little whore with how hungry I was to get more of him and he gave it to me without even needing to ask. Lightly biting, and nibbling my lips, tasting me like a new delicacy he just discovered.

His hold on me was so tender, and his lips met mine with a passion that had me weak in the knees. So weak, I was more than grateful for his firm hand in my waist that held me up.

“I love you.” He confesses, caressing my face with his forehead on mine as he continues placing little kisses all over my face with a groan that had me almost moaning at the feeling his groan and soft touches gave me.
It felt so flattering to see him so undone for me.

His eyes told me so much that his lips hadn't expressed yet. I couldn't believe just how much he craved me.

Every three seconds, he breaks away for a little bit to take a good look at her and then melt into her again, placing his nose in the crook of my neck, snuggling his nose in that spot and up to my jaw.

“I love you too.” I said before I could even think about it but it was indeed true.

My heart, body and soul wanted him. Not just physically but in every sense that could have me close to him.

“God, princess.” He groaned and whispered, pecking me on the lips as he pulled away from me, very visibly reluctant.

“I would have asked you to say that to me a million times but please save the nine hundred and ninety nine, I'll come back for them.” He promised with a kiss on the back of my hands as he moved another step farther from me and towards the door.

“Please stay face, I beg you.” Was all I could utter out with the tears that brimmed in my eye for so many reasons I couldn't articulate them.

“I will. I promise I'll try my best to not be harmed, my love. I really want to live now but if I'm not back in five days, there's a private jet waiting at the back of your training ground. Promise me you won't hesitate.” He asked, looking the most serious and desperate I had ever seen him before.

The defiance was at the top of my tongue but I couldn't utter it. Not when he looked at me like this.

“Make sure nothing happens to you or I'll make sure I replace you in a week.” I said with a smile but a tear rolled
down my eyes as he returned the smile and walked out.
