*This is a test book. Test books with more comments and reads will be updated regularly.* This is the story of two young adults who started out as childhood friends, Jack and Jill. And as time moved on, they became lovers, until life led them on two different paths. She wanted to escape the small-town life and he wanted to get married and settle down in Thornsberry. So, she packed her bags and left without him. Although distance made her heart grow fonder for him yet his heart grew colder towards her. When Jill returned to Thornsberry to reclaim her lover, she was met by rejection, because Jack had another love in his life, a young lady named Cindy Von. Jill decided to leave Thornsberry permanently. The night prior to her departure, there was an assault reported on Jack and Jill, but no one knew who was responsible. They were both found lying unconscious, side by side, at the foot of the hill. The citizens of Thornsberry were very concerned and worried that it would happen to others. People couldn’t imagine why anyone would be so cruel and want to harm them. There were rumors and a lot of unanswered questions, but no witnesses. It was on the local news and made the headlines in the newspapers the next day. The community cried out for the attacker to be brought to justice. After several days in the hospital, Jack remained in ICU unresponsive, but Jill was sent home. During her recovery, Jill started to regain some of her memory about some things, but she kept silent about her thoughts. She wondered if there were any witnesses who could have seen what happened to her and Jack on the hill. What did she remember? And where was Cindy Von? Thornsberry citizens became the talk of all other towns, but it will never be remembered as the quiet, small town it used to be.
