Chapter 26 Forecast
This morning, after all the new cadets' cell phones were collected by officers, they were asked to gather on the field with the other, more senior cadets. As a warm-up, they were asked to run around the 300-meter field. They were required to do this three times at a steady pace.
For Nami, this was too easy; she could even do it 10 times without stopping if she really had to. She maintained a steady pace as instructed. However, by the third lap, Nami was in second place as the cadet who could run steadily and with even breathing.
A few meters ahead, she saw Prince Jacob running calmly, challenging her to outrun him and take first place.
She increased her speed slightly and took off like a cheetah on the prairie. That speed alone could surpass any human.
Realizing that his position had been successfully passed made him shocked, he looked at Nami's back and realized that the woman who ran past him was the same woman who was able to lift his car which weighed almost a ton with one hand.
Prince Jacob stopped running, too shocked to realize he finally had a powerful rival. Although he hated feeling outmatched, the burning feeling of knowing someone else was also so powerful made him unable to remain silent.
The sight of Nami running and surpassing everyone, including Prince Jacob, who was known for his speed and strength, impressed everyone except George and Ethan, two young men who had known this from the start. George, who had known Nami for two years at the Everdeen Orphanage, and Ethan, who had the ability to see the future.
"Nami, you're amazing...! You beat Prince Jacob's score! You're amazing!" Sydney immediately ran and hugged her, as did Lea, Robin, and Jensen. They were all amazed by Nami's extraordinary ability.
Seeing Prince Jacob's face, as if he couldn't believe he'd just been defeated, made George happy. He giggled, drawing the attention of his friends.
"Why are you laughing?" Bella asked, she still didn't find anything funny here that could make them laugh because actually they were annoyed by seeing Nami's abilities.
"Didn't you see the prince's face? Look how upset he is because for the first time someone has surpassed his record!" he said, still looking so happy.
Mariah pouted, annoyed that George seemed to be celebrating Nami's success.
"Tch, annoying!" she said as she turned to leave. George quickly grabbed her hand and held her back.
"What's wrong, Mary? What's upsetting you?" George acted as if he didn't know how Mariah felt about him. He didn't really care about women's feelings and wanted them just for fun.
"It seems like you're starting to take an interest in her! You've been secretly checking her out, haven't you?"
"Why would I be checking her out secretly? I'm doing it openly, and it seems I've found my type," George said casually, not giving Mariah any thought at all.
Mariah looked even more upset and immediately left before she could vent her frustration here. She desperately hoped George would chase after her and persuade her. But she knew that George was not that type of man.
"Mary, wait...! Where are you going?" Seeing Mariah leave, Bella immediately chased after her.
"Don't follow me!"
"Hey, Mary, come on!"
"Hey, Bella, just leave her alone! You don't have to follow her. Just let her go wherever she wants!" George exclaimed, laughing happily.
"You're such a jerk, George...!"
"Yeah, I guess you're right, Bella!"
Jacob entered the bathroom, turned on the water, and let the fresh water wash over his body. Ever since the incident that morning in the field, he had been in a bad mood, and this continued into the afternoon.
Since childhood, he had believed that he was the reincarnation of Prince Leonidas, a prince of the Kingdom of Evangelia 4,000 years ago, after the legendary esper, Darius Golores, saw his past.
The powers he possessed today were inherited from Prince Leonidas, a descendant of the god who ruled the underworld, Hades. He had the same birthmark on his rib as Leonidas had in the chronicles that were kept in the kingdom for 4000 years.
"Who is she? Why does her power seem so familiar to me?" He muttered, trying to recall a few memories from his previous life.
He felt like he once knew a very beautiful woman, so beautiful that he couldn't stop staring at her. A woman who stirred his soul, yet at the same time, he hated her so much.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it! Why? Why can't I shake this feeling, a feeling that should have long since disappeared and no longer exists? Why does she keep bothering me even in this life?"
"Please don't do that, Your Highness!"
Disha groaned in pain as Prince Leonidas tried to insert his penis into her anus. The young woman trembled, unable to believe the esteemed crown prince would do such a disgusting thing to her.
