Chapter 36 — Mating

Sophia's POV:

I was in my Little space after I came back. We didn't go back to school for more than one reason. First, it was summer, so school was already over, and I was in no shape to go there. We both stayed home. Daddy took care of everything for me. It took me two weeks to be able to talk again, and it took three weeks of being bottle-fed to be able to stomach hard food again.

But I was better now. I was alive, and I was back. Daddy asked me to mate with him. We were already mates, but he wanted to make it official so that we could become Luna and Alpha. His wolf had grown so much in my absence. The trauma had made him even more dominant and possessive of me. Sammy often hugged me. I still doubted he was a Little. He'd play with me while I was in my Little space.

I tried asking him once, but he just shrugged and said, "No. Please drop it."

But now, back to my mating ceremony. It was like a wedding for werewolves, but he had to bite me and I'd accept him. We'd be two mated werewolves. There was also sex. That would come next. Niti was extremely talkative about that part, telling me all about it, while Daddy said we wouldn't do that until I was ready.

But I thought I was ready. I wanted to have my chance with Daddy so that we could be together in every way. There was no dress code for the ceremony. I could wear whatever I wanted. Mom and I chose a royal blue dress. Daddy approved it, saying it was beautiful.

The ceremony was going to happen in the woods, under the same tree where Daddy told me all about the legend and about us being mates. It was a special place for both of us that we agreed on. It was a romantic place that had a special place in my heart. Fred was the one who'd officiate the mating for us since he was our Alpha. Daddy and I would be taking over the pack after him soon.

I was dressed in my fancy dress and got my hair done with some simple makeup through Mom's help. For shoes, I went with flats since I wasn't that good with high heels. Everyone agreed with me on that choice. Most of the pack was there too. We had a bonfire there and a small party for the whole pack.

I stayed hidden in my mom's room, away from my Daddy's eyes to keep the surprise. Alvin was the one who drove us to the forest, and he was the one who walked me to where Daddy and the Alpha were waiting for us. I smiled at Daddy, who was standing there in his tuxedo and looking at me like I was the only person there. Alvin walked me toward them.

It was like a human wedding, except for the words we said. They weren't for sickness and for health, and the ceremony didn't end with kissing the bride.

"I, Victor, take you, Sophia, as my mate to love and protect till the Goddess takes me back," he said.

"I, Sophia, take you, Victor, as my mate to love and protect under the moon Goddess," I said.

They were strange vows, but that was all we had to do before Daddy bent in to bite me. I closed my eyes, scared. At first, he kissed my neck, making me relax. Then, he licked my neck, making me moan. And finally, he bit me. I didn't feel any pain. Instead, it made me extremely aroused. I moaned from the feeling, and he smiled at me, licking my neck and making me close my eyes again from the feeling.

Everyone cheered for us, saying their congratulations. Again, my possessive mate wouldn't let anyone get too close to me to give me hugs or anything—only Sammy was allowed to.

"I still think he's a Little," I told Daddy through our bond with a smile. He just smiled and shook his head at me.

The rest of the night passed with dancing and celebrating. This was our night. He was mine now, and I was his, now and forever.
