The IGP then continued,
"After Mark fled with one child in his arms, the other child remained inside the house with their mother. When the mother heard the vehicles and the footsteps of the approaching men, she wrapped the child in a small basket with a hole at the bottom, believing that by God's grace, the hole would help her child breathe. At the time, the child was asleep. She covered him with clothes and ran to the bedroom. When the men arrived, they searched every corner, including the bedroom where the soldier's wife was hiding. When they asked about her children, she lied, saying she had sent them to town to be with their father and that they were on their way.
Without mercy, the men raped the woman and then killed her. They set the house on fire to make it appear as though she had died in the fire. Later, Mark returned to find their house burning. He cried bitterly but managed to pick up an ID card belonging to one of the men who had been there. His goal in returning was to ensure the safety of his mother and sibling. He only saw his mother's body burning but did not see his sibling's body. Consumed by deep sorrow, Mark left the area, believing that if his mother had burned, then the child must have been completely incinerated.
"Mhhhhhh, so did the child die or survive?" the voice on the other end interrupted the IGP's narrative with a question that needed an answer.
"The child did not die; he is alive to this day," the IGP replied calmly.
"Whaaaaat?" the voice exclaimed in shock.
"Yes, that child is alive, which means both twins are alive."
"How is that possible? Wouldn't they have been discovered by now?"
"When the men set the fire, they left because they were sure the woman was dead. They hurried to town, thinking they would find and kill the children there and leave no witnesses in the family. However, the child survived. As the fire intensified, the smoke and heat caused the child to wake up and cry. It is said that his cries reached a man believed to be mentally ill, though these details remain unconfirmed. It is believed that this man rescued the child and took him away from the burning house."
"Where is that child now?"
"Even I don't know the answer to that. There are reports that only Jason knows where his sibling is to this day."
“How do you know he knows that?”
“I’m not entirely sure, but everything is written and stored in a diary that Mark himself wrote and hid. He promised his younger brother that when he disappeared from this world, he should find and read the diary because it contains everything about their lives.”
“What does the diary have to do with him knowing his brother?”
“I’m confident he has the diary. If he has read it, he knows everything that happened. If not, he probably doesn't even know he has a twin.”
“Why did Mark do all this and hide his beloved younger brother?”
“That’s the reason Mark turned him into a highly dangerous person and pushed him to study law rigorously,” the IGP said, wiping sweat from his brow and checking his watch.
Time was ticking, but he had no choice but to provide these details to ensure his daughter’s safety.
“I’m listening,” came a deep voice, indicating he should continue.
“When Mark managed to escape that day, he changed everything, including their names and family identity, starting a new life from scratch. His younger brother grew up knowing that out of their family of five, only the two of them were left. Mark took on the responsibility of raising his brother, all the while trying to identify the man who dropped his ID card the day their mother was murdered. During his life, he discovered that his other younger brother had survived and had been rescued by someone rumoured to be mentally ill. Mark decided to leave that brother where he was and focus on protecting and raising the one he had with him. He didn’t even have the fare to return to find the other brother, and he knew that if they were being hunted, staying hidden was safer.
Mark documented everything he went through in his life. Later, he searched for the other brother but couldn’t find him. Even when he had money, he continued searching. Just before he died, he told me that the child was rumoured to be in Australia, but unfortunately, he passed away before he could confirm this,” the IGP explained in detail.
“You still haven’t given us the main reason he wanted the child to be in such a high position and as dangerous as you say,” the deep voice reminded him of the fundamental question that seemed to have been avoided.
“There are two significant reasons Mark made these decisions, but the third reason is the most important and is why the young man holds such a high position today. First, REVENGE. For what happened to his father and mother and the separation from their sibling, Mark vowed to dismantle the entire network involved in those events. How could he do this without power? That’s why he invested in Jason. Second, the continuation of the first reason. In this ruthless world, he knew he might die one day. Who would protect his brother if that happened? The answer was that his brother had to protect himself. This necessity drove Jason to study law, not just to defend himself but also to ensure he wouldn’t be vulnerable because, in this world, the one with the law is the one with the sharpest knife.”
The two reasons were clear to the listeners, and now they awaited the third, most crucial reason that elevated the young man to his high position.
“The third reason, even I don’t know. But it’s a matter of national importance. To know it, you must find two people or three things. The first person is Jason himself, and the second person is the one I will mention shortly to shed light on Jason's terrifying life. The third thing is to find the DIARY that Mark wrote, which undoubtedly is now in Jason's possession. So, it's up to you to decide which path you want to take to uncover the truth.”
“Where do we find this child?”
“I can’t say because I only see him when he decides to seek me out himself,” he replied confidently, though his heart lacked tranquillity.
“Why hide him if he was placed in such a position? What’s the reason for giving someone such a role and then keeping him hidden?”
“Even you, speaking with me now, I doubt you’d be content being led by such a young child. You might want his position for yourself, or you might not accept seeing him making major decisions regarding the nation's security. That’s why he wasn’t revealed.”
“So, was he put there for the nation or to avenge his family?”
“He's there for both.”
“So, what extraordinary things can such a child do in this nation?” The IGP looked into the camera, confident that the person on the other side was watching closely, so he wanted to emphasize the point.
“If you're even in his path, you’ll meet a terrible end. Just pray to God you're not. The six months you’ve been given might seem long to say with your mouth, but it might be too short because you won’t have the chance to continue living. Bring me my daughter. I believe I’ve answered your questions, and now I want to name the person behind all these things that have been happening behind Jason.” He took a deep breath, then said,
“Francisco Michael,” the IGP pronounced without hesitation.
“What! Do you mean TK?” The voice on the other end of the phone sounded as if something had been broken, like a glass table, as the man receiving the information seemed to panic, hence breaking the table in distress.
“Yes, that’s him.”
“No no no no no, he's been dead for over five years. How can he be alive today? That's impossible,” the voice on the other end vehemently denied the possibility, insisting there was no truth to the existence of that man, whom he was certain had died.
“That's the only person who can help you answer all your questions because he's the one who knows that child well. That man is alive, and Mark assured me of that before he died, that the man is alive and he's the one who entrusted Jason to him. So, your big task now is to find that man, whom I don't even know where to find. I've answered your questions, now give me my daughter. It's starting to dawn now, I've been here for too long,” he gave the man an answer that left him speechless, but at the same time, he needed to hurry home because he was very late, and his wife would be worried sick.
“Let them go,” the voice sounded clear, and the young man gestured to his daughter, who then left the room and headed to another room.
“Today, at 9:00 in the morning, be near the media outlets. Yasinta Kobe, who was kidnapped then, will be in town, and you'll see her publicly,” the IGP spoke confidently as he stood up and buttoned his coat.
