Chapter 78
The rise of the next morning began with the news of the destruction of Skinders and Skinder's empire.
All the news channels were showing the news of the arrest of Zain and Burhan Skidner. The police arrested them from the company.
It was Sameer who put the handcuffs around Zain's wrists. Today he had achieved his biggest dream and great victory in his life.
The whole media praised him for his excellent work. A brave and smart officer who caught the country's biggest mafia fish by collecting evidence against them. The skinders were untouchable before that day. The evidence contained all the information about Zain's illegal dealings.
Their all companies and assets were sealed. Now police were raiding their mansion.
The most hurtful scene was for Ayzel when Aliya Khanum was taken to the police station for interrogation. She felt bad about that thing but she killed her guilt by thinking that she was involved in the miscarriage of Tehmina. For Ayzel that old lady was a criminal too.
Now police were searching the Skidner mansion. An officer was sent by Sameer to bring Ayzel to the police station and like a thief she left the mansion without even saying a word to Asma or anyone else.
Everyone at the service of Skinders was baffled by the current situation. In a few hours, the most respected family in the country became the stock of laughing and mocking.
After giving the record of her statement to the police officers, Ayzel was allowed to see Zain. She asked this by herself. She wanted to talk and see him for one last time.
Zain and Burhan were locked in a single cell. They don't know where Osama was taken though he was arrested too.
Carrying Arham in her arms she went to the cell. The eyes of Ayzel and Zain collided with each other and then stayed in focus on each other.
Both were gazing at each other with eyes of hurt and anger. They both gazed at each other for a good five minutes then Zain broke the silence.
"Well done. Well done. You cheap and sanctimonious *****" he gritted.
"How right was my sister and grandmother? But my bad" he said with a scoffed smile.
"This is called Karma Mr. Zain Skinder. The marriage you forced on me and the atrocities you imposed on poor Tehmina, now you are paying for all those sins. How stupid Was I to fall in love with you? But now it is all over." She said it without fear.
"You are a murderer. You separated a mother from her child. It was my unfortunateness that I married a criminal like you. But thankfully it's all over now." Saying that she threw her wedding ring at his feet.
Zain started to laugh. "Oh that Tehmina, Tehmina Ali." He said that name in a very amused way.
"I should compliment your boyfriend for the fabrication of the story. I am flattered" Zain gave her an amused smile.
"He is not my boyfriend. We just helped each other to throw a criminal and sinner like you behind bars. I did not do any immoral thing. What I did is called supporting justice." Ayzel justified herself. But for whom? Was she saying She believed it more than others?
Arham cried and forwarded his tiny hand to Zain. He wanted to be carried by his father. Zain moved his hands out of the bars, but could not even touch his son. This fueled his anger.
"Miss Ayzel, I don't know how and why you and your boyfriend fabricated that story of Tehmina Ali." His eyes were turning red.
"But fear the day when I tell you what Skinders did with her. Because your poor boyfriend is not able to tell it." Zain warned her.
Ayzel shivered.
Meanwhile, Sameer came too. He placed his arms around Ayzel's shoulder intentionally to anger Zain.
"Ayzel let go. You don't have to listen to his rubbish anymore." Sameer said with a fake concern tone.
Ayzel nodded and gave a last glance to Burhan who turned his head to a side in anger. Ayzel mumbled a small sorry. She was helpless. She wished that Burahm would not have been involved in Zain's crime.
She was exiting when he heard Zain's threat.
"Start counting the rest of the peaceful days, Ayzel. The moment I would come back for revenge will be the last free breath of yours. Every single hair on your body will pay for this act. You will state hell before the apocalypse. You are separating me from my child, I will return you the same pain with 10x" Zain's dangerously calm voice scared her out of the wits.
Sameer ushered her out of the place and then moved to Zain.
"Tsk.Tsk. You still think that you will come out of this prison. What a fool you are. The rope is burnt but the knot is not gone. Soon your wife will be my woman in my bed. And do not worry about your pup, I would raise him with my kids as well. He would call me. *PA-PA" Sameer mocked him but Zain did not reply to him. His murderous eyes were enough to say everything.
Soon Sameer exited too.
Oh my beloved and darling
What a brutality you have done
The kind of betrayal you gave me
Sliced my heart
Your love left me for nothing
Ayzel and Zain both considered themselves at the betraying edge of a knife.
Sameer was taking Ayzel to his place in his car. "Don't worry about Zain's threat. I will try my best that he would get the death sentence or at least life lifetime imprisonment." Sameer assured her after seeing her intense silence. Ayzel only nodded.
Arham slept in her arms. She was looking out on the road out of the window. Everything seemed to be calm and fine. Happy faces of kids and people were observed by her. The day was sunny and bright too.
But she was feeling an invisible grey cloud over her head. Even in the existence of so much silence she felt was feeling the arrival of the storm before calm.
Why she was feeling scared when the tormentor was locked behind bars? Then whose unknown fear was haunting her?
Was it the end of the destruction of many lives or the beginning of the destruction of many lives?
The end of part 1.
