Chapter 76
She had to steal that flash drive at any cost, right now. It was a do-or-die situation for her. Either she had to find that piece of her freedom or the second option was to die at the hands of Zain, as it was obvious he was doubting her.
She wiped her tears and filled herself with courage. She went to his study. Unlocking the door was not a difficult task for her, as she already had the duplicate key, made with the help of Sameer.
With silent steps, she entered the study and locked the door. She started searching for the Flash drive in the room. She called Sameer to have his help online. He was guiding her.
Meanwhile, Warda alerted Osama.
"Osama is bhai at home?" She asked him seriously.
"No, but is everything fine?" he questioned back her.
"I saw someone going into his study. Bhai is not at home, you are here. Then who?" she asked with intense worry.
This panic Osama too. Both went to the study. Osama was unlocking the door.
"Sameer! Someone is coming inside." Frightened Ayzel whimpered on the call.
"Ayzel hide somewhere right now!" Sameer ordered her. Before Osama and Warda could catch her red-handed, she hid under the table and held her breath.
Osama critically analyzed the room through his hawk-like gaze. Everything was in it's place.
"No one is here. The door was locked too." Osama announced. Because no way other than he or Zain could enter the study, even Burhan and Warda did not have this privilege.
"At least can you check whether "Diamond" is in its place or not? I am just having a suspicion." Warda requested him and expressed her dreaded feelings.
This alerted Ayzel's ears. Was Warda talking about the same diamond-embellished flash drive, that Sameer was asking about?
Osama obliged her order and removed a photo frame. Behind the frame was a locker with a password. The locker required a password to open it.
Ayzel was watching the whole thing through her eyes.
Osama put the password and confirmed the presence of the flash driver in the safe.
Ayzel knew the password too, now. Now there was no obstacle in her way to getting that flash drive.
When Osama and Warda left, they locked the door again. Ayzel immediately came out of under the table. She unlocked the safe. The shining diamond USB was in front of her eyes.
She forwarded her hand to pick it up but her hand was shaking. Her hand was shaking like a thief who was about to perform the first robbery of his life.
Why it was not feeling right?
"It's alright Ayzel. You are not doing any sin. You are doing this for justice. You are doing this to save yourself and your child. This will punish Zain Skidner for his sins and crimes." She self-motivated herself.
Finally, the flash drive was in her vicinity. The only problem now was to hand over it to Sameer.
Zain did not return home till the next morning. Warda had to leave the country for an important shoot.
Ayzel was about to leave the house when the driver informed her that due to some security reasons, Boss Zain skinder had to forbid every house member leaving from the mansion. Even in the case of an emergency, Boss would decide whether to leave the mansion or not.
She was completely helpless. No option was left. If she creates chaos, the news will immediately reach Zain's ear.
She called Sameer to give her any suggestions.
She can't go outside, but Sameer can come inside. And now they have to act through this plan.
Ayzel intentionally burned her hand and for her recovery, the doctor was called.
The doctor was Sameer, he came inside the mansion in disguise.
He was treating her wound alone in the room.
"I'm sorry you had to go through this." He apologized with teary eyes.
"It's okay Sameer. This injury would be worthwhile, once Zain is punished for his sins and crimes. I want to see him behind bars for the atrocities that he had imposed on poor Tehmina and her unborn child." Ayzel said to Sameer.
"Tomorrow he will be behind bars. I promise you that. Tomorrow the world will know that justice and Karma still exist on this earth and it can only be possible if brave people like you are in this world." Sameer squeezed her hand.
After receiving the flash drive from her, he left.
Ayzel started to pack her things. There was nothing much to pack, though the room and closet were filled with her belongings.
She only packed her few old clothes and some of Arham's clothes. She did want to take the favor of anything given by her criminal husband. She did not take even a single gold nose pin or earrings with her.
She did not want to take any memory of him with her yet having his biggest essence with her, his child.
She tried to remove the engagement ring from her finger, but it was tightly stuck. She gave up after many tries.
During packing, a teddy bear caught her attention. It was given by Burhan, the person who called her sister and performed all the brotherly duties for her.
She hugged the teddy and cried. She was aware of the fact that Burhan would go through trials and inquiries too because of his association with Zain. But she was helpless. She could not do anything to save him. She packed the bear with her small luggage.
That night she cried a lot. It was going to be her last night in this mansion. She was aware of the storm and thunder that was going to destroy her heavenly life forever. But that storm was necessary too. She had been living in a fool's paradise. Now it was time to release herself from the heaven, built on the blood of the innocents.
