Chapter 67
A child, a newborn baby, a small bundle but has the power of a million-time cuteness to make everyone dance and fly around him.
And it was the case of Arham Zain skinder. That little angel brought all the lost happiness in Skinder's mansion as well as fights over him.
Dadi's words became true. Warda also shifted there and did not leave the house. There was a constant fight between her and Burhan. They just could not fight their grandmother.
Ayzel only had the chance to hold the baby, when she had to feed him. Only then did she remember she had a son.
Other needs of the baby were taken care of by Aliya Khanum. Her energy became equivalent to a young lady when it came to Arham.
The dear father Mr. Zain, was not lucky even like her wife to play and hold the baby like she did while feeding him.
He poorly sought chances to play with the baby. Warda always took Arham from him, by making cute begging faces.
Ayzel was feeding the baby when he went to the restroom. But when he came out, he found Ayzel lost in some deep thoughts.
He sat down in front of her.
"In which dreamland mama is lost when her life and all happiness are in her lap?" He said with a bright smile softly.
"Zain, I was thinking about my mother." There were small tears in her eyes.
"When I was giving birth, I felt her pain though I did not see her. For a moment I thought, I would die too without seeing my child. Then you came. But my mother was alone. She had no one with her. I wonder why my father abandoned us or he was never in the picture." She was crying slowly.
Indeed heaven is under the feet of the Mother. She gives life to her child by placing a coffin cloth beside her head.
"Ayzel he might be already dead. But if the case is what you have told earlier, then he is the most unfortunate man in this world." Zain creased Arham's head and planted a kiss.
"Because I don't think a father can abandon his child. I realized that fact when I held my baby for the first time. You completed my world, he completed my universe, and when my daughter will come, my life will be heavenly." He said.
Both smiled at the fact that Zain's every talk ended at the thought of his baby daughter.
He remembered the moment when the doctor handed over the child. He for the first time shed tears of joy. He could not describe the unfathomable feelings at that moment he felt.
Indeed having the desired suppose and child are the greatest blessings in the world.
They had just started to play with their baby when the door of their bedroom was getting beaten frantically by more than one person.
"Baby Snatchers!" they both said synchronously in a deadpan voice, looking at each other.
"I am not giving my baby to them," Zain said strongly. "Ayzel don't come on the door. Lay down with him." He ordered her because he knew Ayzel immediately melted on seeing their puppy face and then went to open the door. The joker faces of Burhan and Warda welcomed him.
"Bhai, I am here to pick my little champ, my cute polar bear. He must have fed now." Warda said with a butterious smile.
"No, Bhai. It's my turn now. She already has played with him." Burhan complained.
"Bhai, I am her aunt. I have more right." Warda objected.
"I am his Chachu ( paternal uncle) and Mamo (maternal uncle) as well." Burhan retorted.
"News Flash, you both are not getting him." Zain banged the door on their faces and joined his wife and son.
He was now fully engrossed in playing with his baby. Ayzel was recording all the harmonious and joyful moments.
Both father and son were playing with each other and Ayzel was smiling constantly upon seeing them.
"My mini world but my big happy world. You know your aunt and Burhan's uncle are very silly." He was cooing. Arham was responding to him with teeth less adorable smile.
"Look, look. How is ignoring whom now? Tsk.Tsk." Ayzel said keeping her hand below her chin.
"What mama squirrel, are you jealous of us?" Zain said without looking at her.
"Well, it was you, Mr. Jealous. You were jealous of my baby even before his birth and now you don't even look at me whenever you are with him." Ayzel complained in a joking manner.
"That was not my fault. Who knew you would give birth to a beautiful handsome baby? Right my little lion?" He played with his baby's lips.
"Oh my my." Ayzel laughed.
They were sleeping when Arham awakened in the middle of the night. Though everyone was taking care of him, at night it was only the mother who sacrificed her sleep. Light Dark circles appeared under Ayzel's eyes. Arham did not make noise but he just wanted to play and have the attention of someone talking.
"Look who is awake," Zain whispered and picked him up. He took him to his study where he could play with him without disturbing Ayzel's sleep.
"My baby, my little lion. Daddy loves you so so much. I will sacrifice my whole life for you. You gave me the beautiful feeling of being a father. But your mama took a very great amount for us." He kissed Arham.
He was telling all this to his innocent baby who could not understand a word at this age. But he was listening to him attentively.
"Always take care of your mama. Never let her feel pain." Then he rubbed his nose on his face. He did not know what overwhelmed him to tell all these to his little child.
After swinging him in his arms, he came back with him to the bedroom, after making sure he was sleeping. He placed his baby in the baby cot and lay down with his wife. Thanking Allah for his mercies.
But they were just the last days of their life, soon everything was going to be finished for them, forever.
