Author’s POV

Karan was in his cabin working on his laptop when the door of his cabin flung open with a slam to reveal a panting Raman there who looked like he was running a marathon.

"What happened Raman? Now which new storm has hit the Khurana group of industry that you are running like a madman" Karan asked him in slightly mocking tone, keeping the laptop aside while giving full attention to him who was still taking deep breaths to calm himself putting his hand on his chest.

“You are right that a storm hit us and the name of that storm is Vishant Raisingh Khurana” he blurt out to him with scared expression as soon as his breathing became steady, listening to which Karan sighed heavily throwing his head back on the chair. He was already frustrated worried about Mahi and Vishant hell bent to give him a headache.

"What did he do now??" Karan asked him in a tired voice as he was not surprised by his brother's insane actions of one week that how he had become a danger symbol in the office since last one week, how he had fired more than 20 employees in this one week without any reason and was ready to explode on everyone at any moment.

"Sir, Vishant sir has fired the finance manager because he was just 10 seconds late for the meeting as he had some emergency at his home and has given me an ultimatum that if I don't hire a new finance manager within 2 hours then the next number will be mine, please save me" Raman told him everything and at the end started pleading to him to save his job.

Now it’s high time, he had to talk to Vishant.

"Where is he now???" Karan asked getting up from his chair to which he immediately replied "The lion is in his cave. shall I call Aashi mam to come here as I am sure the reason behind this angry version of boss is connected to her and only, she can pacify him."

Hearing Aashi's name, Karan glared at him "Keep my sister away from that raging bull, she hasn't taken the contract to pacify his anger which you are advising her to send to him".

It was not hidden from Karan that all was not well between them since last one week the way Vishant was ignoring her but even, he didn’t not know the real reason. Till now he was silent thinking that it was a matter between them but now he couldn’t remain silent anymore.

Karan marched to Vishant’s cabin and barged inside without knocking on the door which made vishant’s head snap at his direction with pissed off look but he calmed down immediately seeing him.  

"Who has stepped on your tail, you are roaming around like a ticking bomb in the whole office" Karan spatted at him walking to him to which Vishant didn’t say anything but gave him tired look.

Karan pulled out a chair and sat down looking at his brother who was looking depressed.

“What have you done this time because of which you and Aashi had a fight” Karan directly asked him to which Vishant let out a heavy breath and threw his head back on the chair closing his eyes to give himself some time to relief.

"I broke my promise although I didn't break but I twisted the promise according to my own" Vishant let out opening his eyes as he also wanted to talk to someone about this as he didn't understand what to do and what no??

There was a battle going on between his mind and heart as to whether he should do it, his heart telling him to leave Rajat and move on with Aashi while his mind was warning him not to because Rajat could be a threat to them in the future.

“Which promise?” Karan asked him with a frown on his forehead but then something clicked in his mind making his eyes wide.

"Now don't say that you did something with Rajat and Aashi came to know about it" Karan blurt out but prayed in his mind that this should not happen but his doubt got cleared when Vishant exhaled long breath nodding his head.

Karan got up from the chair slamming his hand on the table angrily. He was very disappointed to know that even after giving him advices, he did what he should not have done.

"What the hell Vishant, what have you done. I had told you not to do anything that might spoil everything again. Why don't you understand this simple thing that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, if you do something, it will definitely come back at you. Tell me the whole thing without hiding anything." Karan said to him in a serious voice, listening to which Vishant nodded his head and told him everything that how he had kept Rajat in his hostage, how he was torturing him and how Aashi came to know about this and they both had a big fight because of which he was avoiding her as he was confused what to do.

"You know what?? You have lost your mind. You always do the same mistake and then expect that she will forgive you. I told you many times that don't do anything that will take Aashi away from you but seeing your actions, I feel like sending her so far away where even your shadow does not fall on her. She puts her trust on you every time and then the very next moment you do something that shatters that trust like glass. Let me tell you one thing that I am tired of being your teacher who tells you every time what you have done wrong." Karan couldn’t control himself any more, he tried every possible way to make him understand that he should not let anger and hatred dominate him, but he was not ready to understand anything.

Vishant lowered his head in shame as he knew that every single word he said was right and as always, he was wrong in her matter.

"So what do I do now??" Karan hearing his looked at him who was looking at him with hope.

"This time I will not tell you anything because if I kept telling you every time you will always wait for me to tell you that you are wrong but I will definitely tell you one thing that learn to value Aashi before it is too late." Karan told him and this time left him to realize by himself without knowing it was already late.
