Abi led the amateur gunman out of their room.

No one knew what would happen to the man in the hat, because everything would be decided after Lexton and Oliv finished their conversation.

"Get up!" Abi's voice was clearly heard, giving orders nonchalantly to the man who was now their hostage.

"Forgive me, sir! Forgive me!"

The man was still begging for forgiveness from Lexton, who was no longer even looking at him. Hatred still lingered in the Alpha's heart, thinking that it was the man who had tried to hurt his lover earlier.

Struggling, the amateur shooter had not moved at all. Until Abi approached to intervene and drag him away.

"Sir, please!" the man exclaimed again. "I really didn't mean to hurt your beloved! Please forgive me just this once!"

It sounded painful, but it meant nothing to the three men who had been dealing with rats like this for far too long.

Dragging the man's hand away with a single stomp, Abi no longer gave him room to make another sound. The man in the hat limped away, trying to keep up with Abi's pull on him.

The sound of the door handle opening broke the silence, as Lexton now glanced over to speak up later.

"Make sure he doesn't die," the man said curtly, arms crossed in front of his chest.

Somehow, Aurora's request had suddenly occurred to Lexton, and he reflexively said the order just now.

"Yes, sir!"

Abi gave a quick glance in response, but did not slacken his pace to get their captive out of there.

Leaving Oliv and Lexton who now stood looking at each other, though silence still pervaded the room.

"Oliver."

A few seconds after the door closed again, Lexton's voice echoed and penetrated Oliv's ears. The Alpha's tone was stern, and Oliv knew he had nowhere to run but up to their leader this time.

"Yes, sir," Oliv replied as firmly as he could.

Lexton sighed, and then stepped slowly towards one of the couches not far from his current position. The man took a seat, followed by Oliv who also adjusted his position to stand in front of the Alpha.

This conversation seemed to be going on for a long time, with discussions that could be serious.

"You know, there are many things you have to tell me." Lexton raised his head, meeting Oliv's gaze that had been fixed on him.

"Some of the recent successive events, I don't think they should have happened," Lexton said firmly. One of the man's hands was stretched out on the handle of the sofa, and the other moved slowly to rub his chin.

"What exactly happened? And is there something that has escaped my notice all this time? Did I neglect you too much to weaken your surveillance?"

Lexton's successive questions made Oliv blink twice, audibly taking a breath before the man started to answer.

"Sit down!" Lexton commanded. "It looks like our conversation is going to take a long time. Don't you think so?"

Oliv held his sentence, first obeying their leader's orders to now take a sitting position directly in front of Lexton. Linking his hands that rested on knees, Oliv began to speak.

"I apologize for the mess, Mr. Lexton," the man said in response. "I acknowledge my ineptitude in managing my men, so the recent events in our organization must have disturbed your peace of mind."

Lexton was still running his fingers under his chin, listening intently to every word that fell from his men's lips.

"As I suspected, Jovanka Scholer is indeed behind all of this," Oliv explained again. "There's no evidence yet that Jovanka is working with David Senegal, but it's only a matter of time until we can uncover everything."

Oliv took a few seconds to catch his breath. The man occasionally looked down, staring at the floor as if he was looking for a distraction from there.

"The escape of our fighter was indeed orchestrated by David Senegal," Oliv said again. "It is not yet certain whether the woman seen in the forest the other day is Jovanka. But given the circumstances, my guess is eighty percent in her favor, sir."

Lexton's head moved slowly, watching as Oliv tried to explain as best he could. Diving into the eyes of his subordinate, Lexton found that there was something that the young man had not said.

"Didn't you confirm Jovanka isn't in Slovakia?" asked Lexton fishing.

Oliv gave a nod.

"That's right, sir. As I told you the other day, Jovanka managed to escape by disguising herself as someone else."

There was three seconds of silence between the two, as Lexton could now see how Oliver Janson's fingers were linked in an unusual gesture.

"Is there something you're hiding from me, Oliver?" asked Lexton suddenly.

Oliv raised his head, blinking as his bead met the Alpha's gaze again.

Lexton's ability to understand the movements of his men was no longer in doubt, because now the man knew there was still something big that Oliv was hiding from him.

"Tell me," Lexton pleaded again. "You said Jovanka called earlier, so John was able to track her location. Did you talk to her?"

Oliv swallowed hard. Her thoughts were jumbled together, twisting like tangled threads now that the memory of her conversation with Jovanka had taken over again.

"That's right, sir," Oliv responded positively. "Jovanka called the organization's cell phone, but she used a hidden identity while we were on guard below the hotel earlier."

Lexton frowned, but he allowed Oliv to continue.

"She wanted our armory in Fortwill," the fighter explained. "Of the contenders, David Senegal has openly said that he wants the armory. But Jovanka hasn't mentioned this at all. That woman tried to get me to defect from the organization by threatening to take someone's life for me."

Immediately bowed down, Oliv tried to hold back the rumbling that was now controlled by the anger in his chest.

The man was confused, not knowing what to do when faced with two important choices like this. Moreover, Jovanka had given him information that he had never expected.

"Jovanka threatened you?" Lexton asked for confirmation. "What does she have that she can threaten you like that, Oliver?"

Oliv was still fiddling with his fingers, which clearly showed that he was in a state of worry and indecision.

"There is something that Jovanka apparently knows from my past, Mr. Lexton," Oliv said in a quieter tone. "And she's trying to threaten me with it now."

Oliv of course knew it was unprofessional to mix personal and organizational matters. It was just that in the past few hours, his mind had been drained of the facts he had just heard. About Joaquin, and also about their baby that Jovanka said earlier.

Lexton changed the way he sat, now looking more relaxed by leaning forward.

"I can't let someone threaten or intimidate my fighter," he said clearly. "Not anyone, not even Jovanka. She was once in my life, but she's no longer a person."

Oliver raised his head again, staring doubtfully at Lexton. But the Alpha's courtship eyes lit him up with another light, which this time seemed so reassuring.

"You don't mind telling me?" asked Lexton in a non-coercive tone. "About your past being held by Jovanka, and about that thing you were worried about."

Oliv blinked twice, still undecided whether he would tell Lexton the whole story. Because on the one hand, those memories were memories that she wanted to erase.

"I'll listen," Lexton said as he crossed his legs. It seemed that he was ready to be a listener this time.

"Tell me everything you're thinking, and trust me I'll have a solution for it," Lexton said confidently. "Let's just say that this time I'm not the leader of your organization, but someone you consider your own brother."
