In Love with the CEO
Chapter 16
Author:
ALEX
Tonight, like every other night, he didn’t come home for dinner. After we finish eating, I put Julia to bed and go to my room to shower and change. When I’m done, I swap my day dress for a camisole and get into bed. There’s no point waiting for him—he always comes home whenever he wants without even calling, so let him do whatever he pleases. It’s his problem. I know I won’t get anything good from that lunatic.
I find myself in this big, cold bed, unable to sleep. What’s the point of having a king-size bed if you spend most of your nights alone? What’s the point of being married if you can’t feel the warmth or love of the one you’re with? What’s the point of having a man in your life if it’s to live in a void of loneliness like a single person? Even single people can have fun without constraints. I feel like I’m trapped in a relationship where I’m not wanted. I feel caged, like I’ll never find a way out, never escape. No matter what I do, I won’t get out unless my guru decides otherwise.
Unable to sleep, I decide to pick up the book I’m currently reading, The Night That Changed My Life, and read a few pages. Maybe that’ll help me fall asleep. I’m deep in my book, my mind elsewhere, when I hear the door open. When I turn around, it’s him. But from his walk, it seems like he’s had a bit too much to drink. On top of being a terrible husband, now he’s drinking? Lord, what did I do to deserve this life? Was I so bad in my past lives to deserve such punishment? It’s not possible. I get up despite myself to help him—otherwise, he might end up on the floor and wake the whole house. Though, deep down, I’d love to see him smash his face on the ground.
I help him settle on the bed, and even with his imposing build, it’s a bit tough to get him there, but we make it without falling. He collapses onto the bed. I take off his shoes and lift his feet onto the bed. I straddle him to unbutton his shirt, but he’s focused on something else—pulling down the straps of my camisole. He pulls me close and kisses my neck.
Me, unable to stop myself from laughing: “Stop it, they’ll hear us. You’re tickling me.”
Alexander: “You’re so beautiful, you know? Have I ever told you that?”
Me: “I don’t really remember.”
Of course, I remember he said it, and that day we kissed so deliciously.
Alexander: “Well, I’m telling you now—you’re one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.”
Me: “Thanks. Now let me get your shirt off so you can sleep.”
Alexander: “What if I took your dress off too?”
Me: “No, it’s not me who needs to change—it’s you.”
Alexander, kissing my neck: “I so want to see those beautiful breasts without that fabric covering them. You smell so good.”
I wish he’d say all this sober. I don’t want him to wake up tomorrow and blame it all on the alcohol. I don’t want to give myself to him under these conditions, so if he wants to keep his shirt on, fine by me. I’m going to bed.
But he doesn’t let me go. He holds me back when I try to get up, and this time he presses his lips to mine, completely melting me. My reason urges me to respond to the kiss, to seize the moment before it all stops.
I’ve waited so long for this kiss. For all these months, I’ve dreamed of getting lost in his arms, craving his caresses. Everything I’ve dreamed of is nothing compared to reality. He pulls down the right strap of my camisole, kisses my neck, and moves down to the tops of my breasts. He cups my right breast in his hands before taking it between his cold, wet lips, giving me goosebumps and making me sigh.
It feels like my entire body was made to receive his caresses, to shiver at every touch of his hands. I try to unbutton his shirt in vain—I’m desperate to touch his pecs, so firm yet soft. Finally, I can touch this body that’s been forbidden to me.
The buttons won’t budge, so I rip his shirt open, unable to stop myself. Before I realize it, I’m beneath him. I hurry to unbutton his pants and unzip them to free Goliath. It’s standing tall like a soldier before his superior, so hot and hard. Just touching it under my husband’s caresses gives me my first orgasm.
Oh, Lord, it’s so good. He completely removes my nightdress, then my underwear follows to the floor. He takes my lips between his again. I don’t want to wait anymore—I want to feel him inside me now. I’ve waited too long for him to make me waste more time at this moment.
Alexander, pausing: “Let me take the time to prepare you to take me.”
Me, shaking my head: “I’m ready, my love. I’ve been ready for months. I don’t want to wait another minute—I’ll go crazy. Please, make love to me.”
He doesn’t hesitate. He gives me the impression he’s wanted this as much as I have. When he enters me, I lose my balance, even though I’m lying down. I’m overwhelmed. It’s not my first time making love, but it’s the first time I’ve been flooded with so many emotions at once. I’m trembling under this man as if I’ve been plugged into an electric wire. What’s happening right now is more than magical—words aren’t strong enough to describe what I’m experiencing.
After several thrusts and multiple orgasms later, he joins me in the paradise of pleasure. He holds me against him with all his strength before whispering in my ear.
Alexander: “I love you so much.”
Me, a bit surprised: “Uh… I love you too.”
We stay there in each other’s arms. When we come back to our senses, we start again and again. We spent the whole night making love. Sometimes you create an ideal in your head and spend your time dreaming about it, but sometimes—not always—when you finally live that dream, you realize it’s nothing compared to reality. It’s so much better to experience some things for real.
When I wake up this morning, I’m no longer in my husband’s arms. I search for him in the bed but can’t find him. I get up and look for the little kimono I use as a cover-up for my nightdress and put it on. As I approach the closet, I hear water running. He hasn’t run off—he’s just taking a shower. I hurry to the kitchen to prepare a breakfast tray for him.
When I return to the room, he’s already out of the shower.
Alexander: “Did the noise I was making wake you?”
Me, setting the tray on the coffee table: “No, my love. I thought I was dreaming, so I had to wake up to make sure this was really happening.”
I walk toward him and kiss his lips, but he doesn’t return the kiss. He’s so cold with me this morning—not the man I spent the night with.
Alexander: “You should sit down.”
Me, worried: “What’s wrong? You’re acting a bit strange this morning.”
Alexander: “I’m really sorry for what happened between us last night. It never should’ve happened.”
Me, devastated: “Excuse me?”
Alexander: “We shouldn’t have slept together. I’m really sorry.”
Me, getting up from the bed: “Are you serious? Who says I regret what happened? I loved giving myself to you, making love with you. Don’t you realize I love you and I loved giving myself to you?”
Alexander: “That’s the problem—I don’t feel the same way you do, and I feel like I took advantage of you.”
Me, trying not to cry: “You didn’t take advantage of me. You didn’t force me—I did it because I wanted to. It’s a normal thing that should happen between a man and his wife.”
Alexander, setting the towel he was holding on the armchair: “I hope you’re on the pill.”
I can’t stop the tears blurring my vision from falling. Why is he doing this to me? Why this sudden change of heart? Does he take me for some desperate girl he can use and discard at will? I’m so angry that I don’t know when I slap him.
The sound of my hand hitting his right cheek makes me flinch, causing me to step back twice, but my anger doesn’t subside. I untie my kimono, open it, and let it fall to the floor.
Me, addressing him while looking him straight in the eyes: “Look at me.”
He turns his gaze to the side.
Me, trying not to scream at him: “I said look at me. What don’t I have? What’s so disgusting about me that you have to get drunk to look at me or desire me?”
Alexander: “…”
Me, struggling to control my anger: “Am I not beautiful enough for you? Am I not good enough to deserve your attention and love? Why this indifference toward me? Why treat me like an object without feelings? Don’t you realize how much your contempt and indifference are killing me bit by bit? Alexander, I’ve tried. I’ve tried to endure this situation. I’ve tried to love for both of us. I’ve even tried to resign myself and accept the situation, but I can’t take it anymore. This love is consuming me like a wildfire, and if I don’t get away from you, I risk becoming a completely different person, someone I don’t want to become and someone you don’t want to discover. Alexander, I can’t do this anymore. I want a divorce!”
