Chapter 13

“YOU TASTED like a fine wine...” Alexander told her and continued on licking her entrance. “You tasted so different, Amara...”

Casey cocked her head backwards as she went deliriously crazy with every stroke of Alexander’s tongue on her clit. She bit her lip to prevent her moan from escaping, but she failed. The unbearable pleasure that he’s giving her has started to take over her sanity.

“Oh!” Casey clutched on the bed sheets and arched her back to meet every thrust of Alexander’s tongue. “Please, oh, fuck!” She spread her legs even wider when a swirl of heat formed under her navel. “Ah, Alexander...”

Alexander sucked and licked her clit. He feasted on her wetness like a mad hungry beast. With one last thrust of the man’s skilled tongue, Casey screamed his name.

“Ma’am Amara?”

Casey almost jumped in the settee when she heard Thelma’s voice from her side. She wasn’t aware that she got lost in her thoughts again while reminiscing the steamy moments that she and Alexander shared together. After she climaxed, the man left and didn’t say any word to her.

Casey doesn’t understand why he kept on asking her why she tasted different. And, she can’t remember how many times she had restrained herself from telling her who she was. If she lost her sanity and accidentally revealed her identity to him, all her plans will be destroyed and useless.

“Yes?” she asked and shifted her gaze to Thelma. She’s sitting in front of the floor to ceiling window of the room while thinking about what happened earlier. “Do you need anything?”

The woman smiled at her. “I should be the one asking you that, Ma’am,” she said and laughed. “I just want to ask you if you wanted to take a walk at the vineyard to breathe some fresh air?”

“Oh, right,” she said and scratched her cheek. That was her original plan before Alexander entered her room and gave her the kind of pleasure she had never experienced before. “How’s the weather?”

“The weather is perfect. Just like you.” Thelma said with a smile. “You looked different today, Ma’am Amara.”

“Am I?” She touched her face. “Maybe because my face has healed,” she said and stared out the window. “I need to breathe.”

After changing to more appropriate outdoor clothes, she decided to go outside and take a breath. But Thelma kept on following her. How will she think clearly about her plans if somebody from the hacienda is following her?

“But Ma’am Amara, Sir Alexander told me to stay on your side so I can give you anything that you need,” Thelma insisted when she was about to step out the front door. The woman was holding the wide-brimmed hat that she suggested for her to use under the sun. “I’m just doing what I am ordered to do.”

Casey heaved a sigh and took the wide-brimmed hat from her. “I know that you’re just doing your job, Thelma. But please understand that I also need some time for myself,” she said and smiled at her while pinning the hat on her braided hair. “Please? I promise I won’t tell Alexander about it. And if he found out that you’re not with me, I’ll tell him that I asked you to leave me for a while because I need to breathe. Is that okay with you?”

Thelma looked at her hesitantly. “Are you really going to do that to save me?”

“Of course, why wouldn’t I do that if it was me that ask you a favor in the first place?” When the woman still looked hesitant, Casey reached her hand and gave it a squeeze. “I know I’ve been a bad person to you, but I am different now. I have changed, Thelma.”

After a couple of bargains, Thelma finally left Casey and let her go on the farm alone. The sky is clear, and the sun is bright, perfect timing to take a walk and enjoy the day. As soon as she reached the farm, Casey gasped in awe. It was her first time to see a vineyard where the grapes of the finest wines were harvested. Since her work line is primarily about online writing and showbiz, she’s always inside her house and just waiting for her sources to send her the information she needed to write the article. She seldom investigates and follows the targets because she has people who could do that for her. Only this Montefort case made Casey stepped out in her sanctuary.

“Thelma didn’t mention to me that there are a lot of workers here today,” she said as she excitedly walked towards the vineyard. Her white dress is being blown by the wind. “It’s so nice here!”

The harvester and other workers were busy with their duties, and Casey thought that maybe they won’t notice her if she takes a walk around. But Casey was wrong because as soon as she stepped on the vineyard, all the people around looked at her. And, the looks in their faces weren’t what she expected to see.

“Hi...” Casey greeted awkwardly.

“What is she doing here?” a woman from her side asked loudly.

Casey looked at them. They were all gawking at her and giving her the same expression of disgust.

“Maybe she’s looking for her lover again,” the other woman answered. They’re telling something against her as if she’s not there. “I thought she didn’t make it.”

Casey took a deep breath. She shouldn’t felt bad because she wasn’t Amara. She’s Casey, and just like them, she also despised the woman. Just like them, she also thought that this woman is one hell of a bitch. But, sadly, it was her that they thought was Amara.

Without saying a word to them, Casey continued on walking around. She won’t ruin her day because of the people who don’t really know the real story. As she was turning by the corner, she saw the child running in her direction. At the same time, her eyes caught a man having trouble on the ladder a few meters away from her. If the man missed a step, the ladder would fall on the kid.

Without a second thought, Casey ran towards the kid just on time that the ladder to fall. Casey fell on the ground and got hit by the ladder instead of the kid. All the people gather around. And, instead of thanking her for what she did, the mother of the kid blamed her.

“You shouldn’t be here!” the woman shouted at her. “We don’t need you here!”

Then, suddenly, the other people around threw rotten grapes to her. Casey begged for them to stop, but they ignore her. She couldn’t believe that their hatred towards Amara is this much. And, she didn’t expect that they don’t have respect to the CEO’s wife.

“Please, stop!” Casey pleaded as she covered her face. “Please—”

“You’re a curse in the hacienda!” the woman said and threw her rotten grapes. “You should be dead!”

“Hey, stop it!” A man’s voice said and swept away the people attacking her. “Stop it!”

Casey thought it was Alexander, but the man’s voice was different. She confirmed that he’s not Alexander when he crouched in front of her.

“Amara, are you okay?” the man asked worriedly. “Let’s go. I’ll take you away from here.”

The stranger held her hand, dragged her away from the mad crowd, and brought her to the cabin where the giant wine barrels were stored. He checked on her and shook his head upon seeing the grape stains on her white dress.

“You should’ve gone straight in the barracks where we usually meet,” he said in a hoarse voice.

Casey looked at him on a knotted forehead. “Huh?”

The man took a step closer to her. “You’re looking for me, right?” He held on to her shoulders. “You wanted to get fucked.”

As soon as he said it, he pulled her dress down and kissed her neck. Casey pushed her, but the man was strong. He pinned her on the wall and continued kissing her neck.

Casey screamed in fear. “Help!” she shouted. “Help me—”

The door of the cabin burst opened. And before Casey knew it, the man harassing her was pulled away from her and beaten by Alexander.
