Chapter 39 — Trust Me, You Don’t Want to Know

Thea’s POV:

The graduation ceremony started an hour ago, and Ace has stolen many glances at me. I may be calm on the outside, but my heart and brain were on fire.

Since the appearance of the seven jaw-dropping men, the crowd kept their eyes on them. Almost all the students were hypnotized by their looks.

“Now, let’s all stand up in line according to your rank. The respected seven men will be the ones to give your medals to all of you,” the MC announced, then everyone started to get in line.

As one of the top students, I was at the end of the line. I lifted my head and saw that the seven men had lined up and were distributing medals to all the students.

Although Stallion University was a popular and well-known school, this didn’t seem like something Ace would normally do. Same for the rest of the men. They were all such busy people with lots of priorities. So why did they decide to join this graduation ceremony?

The process was fast but as I got closer and closer to the stage, I suddenly felt the tension. It was dark and exciting.

“Hey! It’s your turn,” someone behind me whispered. I looked at her and noticed that everyone behind me looked like they hoped to attract the men's attention. I sighed before clenching my fists and walking onto the stage.

Suddenly, I remembered Cassandra and Ace kissing while Spade and I watched from the balcony. My heart tightened as if it was being crushed by a machine that I couldn’t control.

I don’t know why I thought about that moment. I felt the pain deep inside of me whenever I thought of Ace being with someone else.

“Congratulations!” I snapped back to reality when I heard a familiar voice. I had already walked onto the stage and was in front of them. Ace put the medal around my neck while the other sins held certificates for me.

“Let’s take a picture, sweetheart.” I bit my lip knowing that everyone could see Ace whispering in my ear. Though I know that they couldn’t hear him, his simple actions could lead to some misunderstandings.

“Smile…” I swallowed when Spade murmured next to me. There were photographers snapping photos. I can see people frowning. But I didn’t have a chance to do anything but smile and pretend that I was not panicking.

“You’re trembling.” Ace’s hot breath traveled down my neck and tickled me. So far, I was the only one who had the chance to take a picture with them and be so close to these seven gorgeous men.

“Let’s celebrate at home. I’ll wait for you in the school parking lot, hmm?” The hotness of his breath made me shiver. I could feel his hand squeezing my waist from behind.

“I’ll go back to my seat then,” I said and walked away without waiting for his reply. I was now surrounded by the deadly and questioning looks of all the women around me. Goodness! I’m dead.

Seconds after I sat down in my chair, a sarcastic and disgusting voice started talking. I couldn’t stand her tone and pitch.

“I wonder how powerful your husband is, knowing that those men are so good to you. However,” she paused intentionally, “that doesn’t change the fact that you had sex with an old and ugly man.”

I didn’t bother to reply or look at her. She was the one who spread that information about me. They had no idea he was actually on stage.

I wanted to tell them that my husband was one of the VIP guests. A man that women and men adored and was spoiled with good looks. That my husband was good in bed. I bet they would all going to be envious of me. However, I didn’t intend to announce it in public. It would be better if no one knew.

‘Sweetheart, I’ll wait for you and remember not to be late. Go directly to my car after you say goodbye to everyone.’

I smiled when I received his text message. Ace literally changed after we spent the night in his world. During the first eclipse, he was merciless. But after that, he was a complete gentleman. It was different and kind of confusing.

“Tell me who your husband is, and maybe I’ll spare you a little.” I looked at her when I heard her voice again.

I closed my phone and smirked. “Trust me, you don’t want to know.”
