Chapter. 31 Carol is Leaving

Logan's POV

I pulled Carol's body closer. I don't know what was going through my mind at that moment. But I was enjoying every bit of this togetherness. I moved my body as if there was jazz music accompanying our dance moves. Carol seemed to be enjoying it too. I never let go of her eyes for a moment. However, the red hue of her lips invited a desire that encouraged me to enjoy it again. The sweet taste of those lips returned to my mind. I slowly brought my face closer to reach her lips with mine. Damn it! Grace and Frans shouted our names loudly. Suddenly, Carol pushed my body into the bushes. Before she finally came out to meet Frans.

"Carol! Why are you here?" Frans asked.

"Sorry, Frans. Earlier, my trauma relapsed, so I needed time to calm down. Can we go home now?" Carol lied.

"I understand. Let's just go home now." Frans took Carol's hand and left. By then I had already left the bushes and came out the other side. Because of the noise, Grace kept shouting my name.

"Logan!" she shouted when she saw me cleaning the dry leaves that stuck to my body. She immediately ran over. "Logan. What's going on? Why are you here with dirty clothes like this?"

"It's nothing. I just slipped earlier," I retorted. I wasn't good at lying like Carol, who could easily find a reason why she was there at that time. It's just that I'm glad she lied. It meant that she also didn't want anyone else to know about what happened just now. I unconsciously smiled a little. It made Grace look at me suspiciously.

"Logan. Are you okay? Why are you smiling at yourself? Is there something funny?" Grace asked repeatedly.

"Nothing. Come on, let's go home!"

"But the party's not over yet."

"I want to go home now. If you still want to stay, go ahead. I'm going home first!" I said with emphasis. Then walked away from Grace, who immediately chased after me.

"Logan! Wait up! I'll go home with you," she said after catching up with me. I didn't really care. So, I just shrugged my shoulders with an indifferent face while continuing my steps. "Logan. I thought you left with Carol earlier. Because you suddenly disappeared," Grace said, which immediately made my steps stop.

"Then do you think I'd do that?" I retorted in a challenging tone.

"Hahaha." Grace pretended to laugh. "I know that's not possible, Logan. I've always known how much you hate that girl," Grace retorted.

"Then why are you asking me again?" I pretend to be annoyed and walk away from Grace, who continues to scream my name. I smiled briefly, remembering the incident with Carol just now. If it wasn't for Grace and Frans. I'm sure we would have been closer. I smiled sweetly at the thought.

The next day I woke up feeling happy. I was still thinking about the time when I danced with Carol.

"I wonder what that girl will do now?" I mumbled, while thinking about Carol. "I think finding out to the warrior headquarters will get the answer rather than just guessing here." I got out of bed to get ready to walk around the pack while visiting Carol at the warrior headquarters.

I cheerfully walked out of the room. Then down the stairs. It wasn't until I reached the ground floor that I saw an Omega from the Carpenter team installing the new ornaments that Dad had ordered before he finished being Alpha. Indeed, every time the Alpha changed. The palace wall would have a new ornament with the picture of the finished Alpha as a reminder and a sign of gratitude for their performance during their duties.

As I passed by, the middle-aged man greeted me. Because of that, the wooden hammer he was holding fell. Because he was alone. I walked over to get the important object for him. However, when my hand was about to hand over the object. Suddenly, the tools of the other workers fell together and fell on my head.

"Ouch!" I squealed as I covered my head from the blunt objects.

"Oh, no! I'm sorry, Alpha. I'm sorry. I accidentally dropped the equipment," he said with a guilty face.

"It's okay. It was just an accident. No one intended to do it," I said while holding my bleeding forehead.

"I'm sorry, Alpha. Go back inside your room. I'll get a healer to treat it right away," the man said.

"No need. I'll go to the infirmary myself. You just continue your work."

"Are you sure? I'm really afraid something's wrong with your forehead."

"It's not a big deal. I can handle it. Just continue with your work. Don't worry! I can still walk to the infirmary," I said and walked away. When I came out of the room. I immediately surprised everyone at my current state.

"The Alpha! The Alpha! What happened? Why is there blood on your forehead?" they asked with worried faces.

"There's no need to worry. I just need some medicine to heal it. I'll go to the infirmary first," I excused myself as I continued walking to the left side of the palace.

When I got there. No patients had arrived yet. Maybe it was because it was early in the morning or the pack members were all in good health. In fact, some healers were so busy in their rooms that they didn't even notice my arrival. Because I needed immediate treatment. I immediately lay down on the patient's bed. It turned out that Carol's mother and the other healers were talking about Carol and Frans.

"Frans was just a friend to Carol. She never thought of him as anything more than that," Carol's mother said, which made me smile involuntarily.

"Then why would she want to come to the pack tomorrow?" another healer asked.

What? It surprised me to hear that news. I quickly raised my body to a sitting position. Carol wanted to leave this pack just to be with Frans. What baffling news is this? I immediately felt uneasy.

"That's not it. She came to Rookan Pack because there was something I can't explain here."

"Didn't you say he was the Alpha prince? If it appointed him Alpha tomorrow. It is certain that Carol will be made Luna there. Lucky your daughter, Jane," Carol's mom's coworker said as she walked into the room.

"The Alpha," said Carol's mom and her friend, who were surprised by my presence there.

"Since when have you been here? Why didn't you tell us?" asked Mrs. Carol.

"Is it true what you were talking about?" I asked back. The two of them didn't answer right away. They looked at each other with confused faces. "Tell me quickly!" I half shouted.

"Yes, Sang Alpha. That's right. Carol does intend to come to the Rookan Pack tomorrow," Jane replied firmly.

"No, she doesn't. This can't be allowed!" I got off the bed and abandoned my intention to treat the wound on my forehead. I had to see Carol immediately to get the factual information.

I quickly came to the warrior headquarters with my teleportation ability. When I got there, I was disappointed. Because Carol wasn't there. Carol was leaving for a few days. So she had to check the situation in each field. To prevent damage to other wheat fields by different Rogues during her departure to Rookan Pack.

I was getting annoyed with Carol's increasingly unreasonable actions. I mean she was just appointed warrior leader. Now she has to go outside the pack just to escort a man who is already healthy. She should be more concerned with the safety of this Pack than the safety of the man who is still in doubt.

"Alright. Ask Carol to come to the palace tonight," I said to Angela.

"Yes, Alpha. I'll tell Carol your message when she gets back."

I nodded in agreement. Before leaving the base.
