Good evening mam Ally heard someone saying behind her.

She turned around and saw two police officers.

I’m inspector Sam and this is inspector Bruce. We would like to get a statement from you please.

Sure sir, I can tell you what I know.

They asked her a couple of questions and before they left she spoke again.

Can I please keep her kids with me?

Yes mam, sure give us your details and then you can keep the kids till she is ready to look after them herself inspector Bruce says.

Thank you Ally said and they left.

Ally was still walking up and down when the doctor approached her.

Good evening he says.

Good evening Doctor is Mel okay? Ally asks fearing for bad news.

She’s much better then when she came in here the doctor reply. She’s got two broken ribs and we had to operate to stop the internal bleeding.

When can I see her Doctor?

As soon as they moved her into a room. Please wait a nurse will let you know the Doctor advised.

Ally went back to the twins to wake them up when the nurse entered the waiting room.

You may see your friend now miss but you can’t be there for long.

Thank you so much Ally says and took the kids in with her.

Melissa just woke up and was still very weak but all Ally wanted her to know is that the kids is okay and with her.

Thank you Al she said weakly.

Go back to sleep Mel, we will visit you in the morning Ally reply.

The kids each gave her a kiss on the cheek and they left the hospital.

Ally asked her maid Olivia to come over to the house see that she don’t know much about children.

Who is this beautiful princess? Olivia ask.

My name is Cindy, Cindy reply giggling.

And the Prince?

My name is Michael but you can call me Mike he says with a smile on his face.

Ally felt happy that the kids were in a better mood and made her way to her bedroom after saying good night to them.

Ally couldn’t fall asleep, all she could think of was Melissa in hospital. Her father used to abuse her mom and she knows all about the emotional abuse that you go through. She remember the nights where she could not sleep because of the fights happening in the room next door. Her father just never got tired of hitting her mom. One day her mom decided that she had enough, packed their clothes and they left while her dad was at work. Her mom got a job as a secretary for a law firm and could afford to rent a place for them. Her father left town with a woman and they heard that he died in a car crash 5 years ago. Her mother met Dave 3 years ago and they got married a year later. It was very difficult for her because all she wanted to do was to protect her mother. Dave is a successful business man and loves her mother to bits. Ally had a couple of request from Dave and he was more than willing to listen. She wanted him to be good to her mother, she wants him to protect her by all means and Ally personally wanted to go for self-defence classes which Dave granted her. Ally never really had a boyfriend because she was not going to be a man’s toy she always reminded herself. She also got a house and car and a big fat check as an allowance every month. She doesn’t really care about that but is grateful to the man that she calls Daddy now. Dave doesn’t have children and take Ally as his daughter.

Ally’s phone rang and she was shaken out of her thoughts. Checking her phone screen she saw that it was her Professor from the university.

Good evening Mr Scott Ally greeted.

Good evening Ally, sorry to bother you at this time of the night, but do you know that you missed out on a very important test today? Mellissa was also not here and I’m starting to feel that something happened because you ladies never skip a class what more a test.

Uuurrrhhmm yes sir Ally says, not really knowing what to say.

Ally is something the matter? Mr Scott ask very concern.

Ally had no chose but to tell him everything. It’s their last test before they graduate as Architects and they cannot afford to fail any test now.
