Lenny's POV
"Your a poor sorry little man." Eric said shaking his head smirking as he sat down on the other end of the couch from me while I glared at him.
"You know, I call you over so you can make me feel better, not worse." he said as Eric took the remote.
"I think these soaps are making you feel worse." he said changing the channel.
"Hey! Maria was going to have her baby!" I yelled and Eric rolled his eyes.
"You, need, a life." he said.
"I have a life." I said cuddling in a blanket
"Your gonna lose your job." he said.
"No... Derrick is being a good kid and taking care of things for me." I said mumbling feeling like shit.
I was leaving everything on that boy. I'm so pathetic.
"Okay what I meant to say is, you need a man." he said tugging the blanket off me and I flushed covering myself while he blinked.
"You gotta be kidding me." he said shaking his head. "Tweety bird? Seriously?" he asked as I tugged the blanket from him and cuddled in it again.
"I like tweety bird." I said mumbling.
I was wearing pink sleeping shorts with tweety bird all over them and my shirt hard tweety bird on it too.
"Okay let me repeat what I said. You need a life." he said and I glared.
"I have a life and I don't need a man." I said.
"You want a lady?" he asked and I huffed.
"No I'm gay asshole." I said and he smirked.
"Well how about I take you to a gay bar, but if a guy even looks at me I'm leaving you in there." he said laughing and I pouted.
"For a cop your not very protecting." I said and he laughed again.
"I'm not a body guard." he said and smirked. "Okay I am sometimes but you don't pay me." he said and I rolled my eyes huffing.
"How much?" I asked.
"Fifty a month." he said.
"I'll pay you ten dollars a year." I said.
"I'll use that ten dollars to pay a kid kick your ass." he said.
"Okay okay, I'll pay you a dollar a month." I said.
"I'm gonna kick your ass." he said,
"And this is why you can't be my body guard." I said glaring.
"Why?" he asked smirking.
"Because your one of the people I need to be protected from." I said and he laughed.
Ring ring.
"You have a house phone?" he asked blinking.
"Of course." I said reaching over to the small table by the couch to get the phone. "Hello, Ryan residents." I said answering the phone and Eric laughed. I glared at him then rolled my eyes.
"Bob?" a familiar voice said and I glared.
"Lenny." I said.
"Yeah yeah, I can't make it to work today." he said.
"What! Wh-Why?!" I yelled panicking.
"One, OW! Two, I have check on Jamie." he said.
"Check on Jamie?" I asked and he sighed.
"He's at the hospital... I have to check how he's doing." he said and I frowned.
"Is he alright?" I asked.
"I don't know." he said and it was silent for a while. "But uh hey, things will be alright. By the way you should get to work." he said.
"I'll get to work." I said getting off the couch.
"Oh and Van has been helping alot." he said and I froze.
"Really?" I spoke softly and Eric looked at me weirdly.
"You should thank him by inviting him out." he said and I had a feeling the damn brat was smirking.
"No." I said.
"Yes. Stop avoiding and running away before you lose him for good." he said and my eyes widen. "He's not gonna chase you forever. You think your chasing him but really he's chasing after you. Please, for him and yourself." he said and I didn't say a word.
"Lenny are you okay?" Eric asked getting up.
"I have to go, bye Bob." Derrick said then hung up.
"Lenny?" Eric repeated walking up to me. "Len." he said putting his hand on my shoulder and I pulled away quickly then ran upstairs.
