Chapter 249
Chapter 249
As long as she got the Spiritual Blood, she could recover her memories and return to the palace. Victory was within reach.
"Do you think I'm an idiot?"
Parker curled his lips sarcastically. Wearing Philly's face somehow made him look ridiculously funny, "Unless you bring Seraphine back to life first, I won't give you the Spiritual Blood."
"I can help you revive Seraphine first."
Olivia gave him a meaningful look, her tone full of warning, "But don't forget, if I can bring her back to life, I can also kill her."
Being threatened didn't feel good.
But thinking of Seraphine in the ice coffin, Parker gritted his teeth and swallowed his anger. As long as Seraphine could be revived, giving her the Spiritual Blood wasn't out of the question.
The dead cannot come back to life.
So there was only one way to revive Seraphine—turn her into one of their kind.
With Parker's abilities, he could completely transform her, but he had kept her in the crystal coffin all this time, probably afraid that Seraphine would blame him after being revived.
And since he hadn't revived his own body yet, bringing Seraphine back would mean watching her leave, which he couldn't do.
Olivia and Christopher released Parker's body from the depths of the Abyss and used the power of the Five Elemental Blood Ruby to help Parker return to his body.
After returning to his body, Parker felt both familiar and strange sensations. A genuine smile finally appeared on his face. He pressed his ten fingers together and drew out the Spiritual Blood from the Fire Element Blood Ruby within him.
"Don't say I don't keep my word."
Having gotten what he wanted most, Parker became much more pleasant, no longer looking like a villain.
Olivia nodded and absorbed the Spiritual Blood into her body, but then heard Parker suddenly add, "I have one request. Help me erase her memories. I want her to only remember me from now on."
"You're being a bit greedy."
Olivia glanced at him, her eyes flickering.
As if making a difficult decision, Parker's expression changed from his previous casual attitude. He said seriously, "If you're willing to help me, from now on I'll take her and wander the world, and never harm humanity again."
This was something Olivia hadn't expected.
She carefully examined the emotions in Parker's eyes and found no killing intent or malice, knowing he was serious.
"To be fair, you're more suited to lead the blood clan than I am. After sleeping for a thousand years, my mindset has long been worn down. Your father is already dead, and I survived to the end. I don't need to die again at your hands."
Parker's thinking was clear. The pride he had fought for back then no longer existed. From now on, he didn't need to fight for anything anymore. He just wanted to stay with Seraphine and live a life he had never tried before.
After thinking for a moment, Olivia nodded in agreement, "Alright, I can help you."
Olivia and Christopher exchanged glances, walked to the crystal coffin, and pushed Parker out to prevent him from having any bad ideas while she was casting the spell.
After pushing him a safe distance away, Olivia lifted the crystal coffin lid, grabbed Seraphine's chin, and poured the blood she had drawn into her mouth.
With the Fire Element Blood Ruby inside her, her body had stayed warm, so the blood flowed freely through her body and quickly took effect, regenerating and reorganizing the dormant meridians throughout her limbs. Her face became increasingly pale, and sharp nails began to grow on her hands resting on her chest.
Soon, with Olivia's help, the dead Seraphine opened her eyes, looking around in confusion at everything. She propped up her weak body and sat up from the crystal coffin, seeing Olivia and Christopher on either side.
Her eyes widened in surprise, "You... who are you..."
As soon as the words left her mouth, even she was startled. Why had her voice become so hoarse and rough?
It sounded awful.
But before the two could answer, Parker rushed in from outside the cave, pulled Seraphine out of the crystal coffin and held her tightly, his eyes fixed on her, showing the joy of recovering something lost.
"Seraphine, Seraphine, do you remember me?"
Olivia, standing nearby, couldn't help but roll her eyes. Parker was asking even though he knew the answer.
Seraphine, just awakened, was caught off guard by the tight embrace. She stared at Parker's face for a while, then shook her head in confusion, "I don't remember."
"It's okay. You'll gradually remember me later. I'm your fiancé Parker. Decades ago, you died in an accident. I just had someone bring you back to life. From now on, we'll be together forever and never part."
Seeing the living Seraphine, Parker seemed to return to the time when he first met her decades ago. Back then, Seraphine had accidentally entered the Abyss and saw him imprisoned. Her deer-like eyes were full of fear, but she forced herself to overcome that fear and tried to rescue him.
She was kind and innocent. No matter how he tried to drive her away, she stubbornly stayed to keep him company, wanting to wait for rescue with him.
Later, seeing her about to freeze to death, Parker finally couldn't stand it and brought her close, sharing his warmth with her.
That was their first embrace.
This strange yet warm feeling made Parker instantly infatuated.
After that, he never tried to drive her away again.
But there was nothing in the mountains for humans to eat or use. Parker spent countless efforts to keep her well-fed and healthy. Unfortunately, later Seraphine wanted to go home.
He couldn't accept her leaving like that.
Without his help, she couldn't leave the Abyss at all. Watching her grow more depressed day by day, crying all the time, he began to wonder if he had made a mistake, if he really shouldn't have kept her here.
Her tears awakened the rare kindness in Parker's heart. He agreed to let her leave the mountain.
But years had passed since she entered the mountain. The moment she went down the mountain, Seraphine was treated as a monster. She had no choice but to run back toward the mountain, and during that escape, she encountered an avalanche.
By the time he arrived, it was too late.
Thinking back, Parker regretted countless times his decision to let her go. Now, looking at Seraphine in his arms, he held her even tighter. He would never let her go again.
Seraphine was startled by the burning emotion in Parker's eyes. She tried to search her mind for memories of this fiancé, but her brain was completely blank. She couldn't remember anything.
She frowned, a flash of pain in her eyes.
Meeting Parker's worried gaze, Seraphine lowered her head apologetically, saying with some disappointment, "I'm sorry, I can't remember."
"It's okay. It's been too long. If you can't remember, it doesn't matter. We'll have many more memories in the future."
In front of Seraphine, Parker seemed like a different person, constantly trying to use his enthusiasm to awaken Seraphine's instincts toward him. Olivia and Christopher shook their heads with a smile.
Parker had already returned the Spiritual Blood to her as promised. They had no reason to stay here any longer.
From now on, although Seraphine couldn't be human, at least she had gained the ability to live forever.
