Chapter 239
Chapter 239
"You want to kill me and take the Flame of Sincerity from my hands? It's not that easy!"
Philly sneered as she spoke, conjuring a ghostly blue flame in her palm, "This is Felicity's Flame of Sincerity. Come and get it if you dare."
Olivia's eyes sharpened, shooting straight toward Philly, "What did you do to her Flame of Sincerity?"
The Flame of Sincerity inside ordinary humans was a fiery red flame seed, but in Philly's hand, it had turned ghostly blue. Clearly, this Flame of Sincerity had already been refined by her.
"Isn't that obvious?"
Philly shrugged, speaking casually, "As long as you're willing to hand over Christopher, I can help you purify the Flame of Sincerity. How about this deal? Worth it, isn't it?"
"Despicable and shameless!"
Olivia looked toward Renata and Royal, "Attack!"
Hearing this, the two quickly transformed into gusts of wind and rushed toward Philly, only to be blocked by Hestia and others around Philly.
Watching the group already engaged in combat, Philly curved her lips with an ambiguous smile, "So you're planning to just take it by force?"
Olivia didn't bother wasting more words with her. She raised her hand to form seals, and beams of light struck toward Philly. Philly's figure nimbly weaved through these light beams, but her speed was far slower than Olivia's.
With one careless moment, Philly was hit by several light beams. The struck areas disintegrated, but quickly regenerated with new flesh.
After dodging many attacks, Philly condensed into a lightning bolt and shot out of the light waves, standing atop them and looking down at Olivia from above.
"Is this all the great Ancestor has got?"
Before she finished speaking, she saw that Olivia had somehow appeared right in front of her. A pair of crystal-bright eyes gazed at her, as if death itself had descended beside her. A strong sense of suffocation enveloped Philly's entire body.
She trembled violently.
Her eyelashes unconsciously quivered intensely. Every hair on her body screamed at her to leave quickly, but Olivia's icy voice reached her ears, "Of course not. You're not worthy of my full strength."
As the words fell, Philly's hair was cut, falling onto the altar. Philly touched her now-shortened hair with lingering fear and jumped to the other side.
Her heart began to beat violently.
That was close.
If she had been any slower just now, what Olivia's blade would have cut wouldn't have been her hair, but her neck!
Olivia's strength had actually reached this level.
If she got the Fire Element Blood Ruby, wouldn't there be nothing left in this world for her to fear?
Even Furman at his peak probably wouldn't be her match by then.
Philly's thoughts raced in a hundred directions. Just as she was thinking, Olivia silently appeared behind her. An icy sensation struck, and before Philly could even dodge, her arm was severed.
A thick smell of blood filled the air.
Below, Hank and Isaiah simultaneously covered Helen and Felicity's eyes, "Don't look, don't be afraid."
Such a bloody scene—if they saw it, they'd probably live in nightmares for the rest of their lives.
At the same time, Christopher on the ground was also frantically running, using all his strength to resist Parker inside his body. But unexpectedly, someone suddenly landed in front of him, blocking his path.
Christopher furrowed his brows, looking at the suddenly appearing Hestia. Glancing around, he saw Renata and Royal were still fighting with the people Philly brought—no one had noticed Hestia had disappeared.
"Philly was right. Only by restraining you does she have a chance of survival."
Hestia stared intently at Christopher, revealing the prepared potion in her hand, speaking word by word, "Parker, it's time for you to repay our leader."
Christopher's pupils constricted sharply.
Before he could react, his body was struck by a violent force. Christopher fell into sleep unprepared.
Parker seized the opportunity, clumsily controlling this body. Just waking up, his expression was still somewhat lazy as he looked at Hestia before him, "Go tell your leader that Christopher is mine now."
Hestia glanced at the dark red mist in his eyes, nodded slightly, and turned to leave.
However, just as she turned away, an invisible pair of hands grabbed her neck from behind, dragging her back to the ground.
An intense suffocating sensation came over her. Hestia looked back in shock at Parker, who was still smiling behind her, and forced out a sentence from her throat with difficulty, "You dare betray Philly?"
Parker dismissed her with contempt and sneered, "What is Philly? Does she dare threaten me?"
"You..."
Before she could finish, Parker directly snapped her neck. A blade pierced her heart, completely crushing it, leaving no possibility of resurrection.
Seeing the person in his arms had died, Parker disgustedly threw her aside, and still not satisfied, kicked her a few times, "I'll send you off first. Wait for your Philly on your way to hell!"
How dare she threaten him without knowing her place?
He didn't know who gave her the guts.
Parker, wearing Christopher's face, silently appeared among the crowd. Hank had seen him by Olivia's side before.
Seeing him approach, Hank urgently spoke, "Mr. Taylor, won't you go help Ms. Smith?"
Parker clicked his tongue lightly and spoke coldly, "If she can't even beat a waste like that, what use is she?"
Hearing this, Hank felt somewhat puzzled.
He believed he never misjudged people. The Christopher before him was clearly in a romantic relationship with Olivia. How could Christopher now be so indifferent seeing Olivia in fierce battle with someone else?
As if sensing the doubt in his eyes, Parker beckoned to him, "Old man, Olivia gave me a very important task—to snatch back Felicity's Flame of Sincerity. So in a bit, you and Hayes go to the altar first and wait for my signal."
Hearing about the main business, Hank's thoughts were instantly interrupted. He nodded unconsciously, "Rest assured, Ms. Smith already gave us these instructions. We won't mess it up!"
"Good."
Getting a definite answer, Parker's eyes swept toward Olivia and Philly still fighting in the sky, a sharp gleam flashing through his eyes.
These past few days attached to Christopher's body, he had heard some of their plans. Olivia was right—those two bastards Furman and Philly were just using him.
Rather than exhausting himself helping them, it would be more practical to plan his own path forward.
Furman and Philly weren't worthy of his submission.
Ambition burned wildly in Parker's eyes. He flashed up into the sky, silently appearing behind Philly, his gaze meeting Olivia's directly ahead.
In that instant, flames flashed.
Looking from afar, Olivia seemed to notice Christopher's eyes had turned that dark red color again, but in just a moment, his eyes changed back.
Christopher smiled slightly at Olivia, then took the lead in snatching the Flame of Sincerity from Philly's hands while she was still focused on battling Olivia.
With the Flame of Sincerity stolen, Philly felt a chill run down her back. She whipped her head around and screamed, "Who is it?"
