They shamelessly said, "That's great! Now, bring us the menu of the most luxurious food and take us to the finest private room. We need to entertain our future son-in-law."
How shameless!
My mom even said they could come every day to eat for free.
Daphne was even more brazen, saying she would bring her boyfriend to eat abalone, sea cucumber, and all sorts of lavish meals every day.
"Tina, you love me so much, you wouldn't say no, right?"
As I watched their increasingly disgusting faces, I was on the verge of losing my composure.
Are they all chameleons with amnesia?
They had forgotten what they had done to me?
But I am a person with memories!
I absolutely wouldn't let them in again, even if it meant closing down the restaurant.
I found the security manager and gave some instructions.
"Sorry, this restaurant is for guests who are willing to pay, not for freeloaders. If you don't want to pay, then please leave."
I had already spoken as restrainedly as possible.
Unexpectedly, my parents and sister started making a scene in front of other diners, accusing me of being unfilial.
Some diners who didn't know the truth were deceived by them and thought I was in the wrong.
I was shaking with anger.
"Fine, I can entertain you, but you can't waste food."
"Hahaha, you must be kidding! We'll order the best things and throw away what we can't finish. We'll come every day. After all, we raised you."
My parents, taking advantage of their legal status as my parents, reverted to being nasty towards me.
"We raised you for a day; you have to support us for a lifetime."
My mom looked smugly at the opulent walls, already calculating how much this restaurant might be worth.
She was already thinking of ways to transfer the restaurant to Daphne.
To her, everything I had and worked hard for didn't belong to me; it belonged to Daphne.
I was just a blood bag for her.
"Yes, Tina, one should be grateful. Mom gave birth to you. Now that you're successful, shouldn't Dad and Mom share in the fruits of your labor just by enjoying a meal at your restaurant? If you still want to drive us away, I'll expose this to the media and ruin your restaurant!"
Daphne was jealous of me-jealous that I had made money, and it seemed like a considerable amount.
She looked at me with eyes burning with jealous rage, wishing she could devour me whole and take over the restaurant.
"Tina, once your reputation collapses, will anyone still dine here? They will only say that the owner is an ungrateful wretch who doesn't even support her parents. You'll be cursed out of existence, and your restaurant will go bankrupt. You'll lose everything!"
Daphne was truly vicious, using filial piety as a weapon against me.
They were all devils-worse than before.
I didn't know how I summoned the courage; even if I went bankrupt and the restaurant closed down, I wouldn't let them eat here and endure this humiliation!
I am a person!
I cannot yield!
I immediately called the security over. No matter what happened today, I wouldn't give in or back down. If anyone didn't like it, they could choose another restaurant!
Quite a few uninformed customers really did leave.
Some pointed at me disdainfully before leaving, saying I was worse than a monster.
"How can you do this? Not respecting or being grateful to your parents-you are destined for misfortune!"
"Wow, I didn't expect you to be so ungrateful. Look at how angry you've made your parents!"
"Let's go; we'll never come to this restaurant again."
