Chapter 85 I think It's a good by for now
"I can explain," Loveness quickly offered.
"No, babe, I'll handle this," Trish interrupted.
"Babe?" Mike questioned, stunned.
Trish explained, "Loveness and I are an item. Shanty just saw us having sex, we forgot to lock the door and she walked in on us that's why she screamed."
"Damn" Nelson exclaimed.
"So he's the mystery man? I mean the mystery woman" Simi noted.
Loveness nodded and I laughed. Loveness corrected, "I've never said man but partner."
True, she's never really said it's a man.
"Wow, you've got a smoking hot girlfriend, I didn't think you'd do therapists" Mike joked.
"Only you would say something so stupid" Trish retorted.
We all laughed, doing our best to hide the shock and bury the awkwardness.
"Let's leave them to continue where they left off" Brenda suggested.
"After I pee, where's the bathroom in this house?" I asked.
Loveness showed me, and I rushed there. When I walked back downstairs, I stopped.
He's here, I can smell him from where I'm standing. His presence is heavy and I can feel he's somewhere near me. He is behind.
I continued walking to the couch even though my knees were failing me. I sat down and closed my eyes.
This effect he has on me is too deep, it controls my entire body and mind. He has this hold on me and I want it to end.
I opened my eyes, and he was sitting across me. He was wearing a tight long-sleeve black t-shirt and khaki shorts. I could see his bandage. He had his glasses on and was moving his jaws and rubbing his palms together.
He does that when he is angry. Why would he be angry? Why is he so damn sexy?
Vusi was here too.
"Here's something to drink bro" Nelson offered.
"Thank you" Kelvin replied. That came out as more of a whisper; his voice was husky. He sat down right opposite me. He continued rubbing his palms together and clenching his jaw.
I stood up and went to sit somewhere else where I won't have to face him. Alicia turned the music on louder and she danced. I quickly went to join her. This guy wasn't even paying attention to me. Why do I want him to pay attention to me anyways? You broke, its over, move on from him.
I was dancing my ass off. "Go Shanty!! Go Shantel!! Twerk that ass up!!" Kendra yelled.
I laughed and we twerked.
I was still dancing when the music stopped, and I felt a rough hand grabbing me.
"What the! Leave me alone Kelvin!" I yelled.
He was literally grabbing me out the door. His walk was so not him, I shouldn't have shot him. It still hurts.
We were outside.
"Sit down" Kelvin commanded.
"You don't tell me what to do" I countered.
"I don't want to argue with you" Kelvin said.
"I don't even want to talk to you Kelvin."
"I heard you're leaving?" Kelvin asked.
"I am" I confirmed.
"Why are you leaving Shanty? I know its not only work related. Please don't leave" Kelvin pleaded.
"Why not? I want to be away from you. As far away as I can be. I need to focus on myself and focus on my child. It's better if I leave and I get some space from you, that way we'll both have our separate lives" I explained.
"I don't want to be away from you, I don't want a life separate from you" Kelvin insisted.
"You don't know what you're talking about Kelvin, you're just drunk. You don't want my child, you can't have me if you won't have my child. Your child to be more specific Kelvin, there's no we without her" I said.
"It's a girl?" Kelvin asked.
"No, I don't know yet. But Brenda says it will be a girl" I clarified.
"Okay" Kelvin said.
"Bye Kelvin."
"Don't leave yet, lets stay here for a while. Let's share our last moment together. Hold my hand" Kelvin begged.
"No Kelvin, don't do this. Don't make this more complicated than it already is. You've hurt me so much. I'll never keep you in my life when I know you don't want my child" I pleaded.
"I guess this is it. What we had has really come to an end" Kelvin conceded.
"Yes and I don't want to point fingers but you know it's your fault" I stated.
"I know but I've made my decision" Kelvin said.
"And I have made my decision. We both have to live by our decisions" I concluded.
"I love you" Kelvin whispered.
"You think you love me. And what happened to your voice?" I asked.
"Let's just say I've been drinking too much. All I do is drink these days" Kelvin admitted.
"You shouldn't be doing that. It's not good for you especially since you're now loosing your voice" I cautioned.
"I'll stop because you've said so" Kelvin promised.
"Yeah right" I scoffed.
"Honestly, I'll really stop" Kelvin insisted.
"If you say so" I replied.
"I had plans for us, we were supposed to be getting married by the end of this year" Kelvin revealed. "Our father gave Mike and I a time frame for us to get married. I knew I've find a wife in you."
"But then it won't happen" I said.
"I guess so" Kelvin sighed.
We sat there for a while in silence. After a few hours, I told him I wanted to leave.
"Can I get a hug?" Kelvin asked.
"No" I replied.
"Just a hug Shanty" Kelvin pleaded.
I hugged him. He held me closer and closer. It was a warm hug, and I was enjoying it.
"A kiss just to bid farewell? Just to say goodbye" Kelvin whispered.
I couldn't finish my sentence because he had already kissed me. We kissed for a while, and I pulled back, but he deepened the kiss. He pinned me to the wall and touched my stomach.
"I love you" Kelvin whispered.
I pulled away. "Goodbye, Kelvin."
"Goodbye, Shanty, and the baby" Kelvin said.
"It's Baby K" I corrected him.
