Chapter 74 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 74 Untitled Chapter
He wrapped his arms over my shoulders, he likes doing that when he is hurt. I let him be, in a way that is how he tells me that he is hurt.
"This is cute, let me leave you to this bromance. I'm off," Shantel said.
"Tell Kendra I said hi," Mike requested.
"Will do," Shantel promised.
"You can get off me now and start talking," I said.
"Come, we're going to mom's beach house," Mike ordered.
"She's here? I don't want to go, you can go alone," I refused.
"She wants to see the both of us, now come before I carry you out of here. I'm using the 'I'm older' key here, stand up, Kelvin" Mike insisted.
"Fuck you. You know I don't like being around mom and you do," I grumbled.
"She's our mother," Mike stated.
"I know," I conceded.
He drove off while I leaned on the window and took my glasses off.
I used to do this all the time, when I was young everyone knew that the seat near the window was mine at all times. I would lean on the window and imagine everything that Mike told me we're passing by.
"We're by the harbour," Mike observed.
He remembered.
We used to do this all the time. When he went away for school, those were the most boring days of my life and I was stuck with mom. At times Trish would try and do the things we did with Mike, but we argued a lot so she wasn't like Mike.
"We're home and she's waiting by the door," Mike announced.
We got out of the car and I walked to the front door.
"Mike!! Kelvin!! Oh how I missed my sons," Mom cried.
"We missed you too, mom," Mike replied.
No I didn't.
And there she goes, that's why I didn't miss her.
She kisses me and hugs me, trust me, it's not a hug it's a squeeze.
"Mom," I sighed.
She cried and kissed my forehead. She always does this, all the time. She holds my hand, that I don't like.
She likes holding my hand and walking me around like I can't do it myself.
You might think I dislike my mom but no, I love her so much. She's my heaven and earth, the first woman I ever loved and will always love. But I hate how she babies me. She treats me like I'm still a 5 year old.
"My baby, did you eat?" Mom asked.
"Yes, I'm full," I lied.
"Mike?" Mom asked.
"I'm hungry," Mike admitted.
"I'll cook something quick for you. So what is going on with you, my boys? You sounded so sad on the phone, Mike, is everything okay?" Mom inquired.
"Kendra broke up with me, she left me. It's over," Mike confessed.
There were sniffs and his voice had changed.
"Are you crying? Thank God I lived till the day he cries for a woman. Where on earth is Keith so he can see this?" I teased.
Mom hit my shoulder.
"Ouch," I yelped.
"Do not laugh at your brother," Mom scolded.
"I'm not laughing because he was dumped, I'm laughing because he cried," I explained.
"Apologize to your brother," Mom demanded.
"Sorry," I muttered.
"Mom, that was barely even an apology," Mike complained.
"I won't apologize again if that's what you want. Well, you should look on the brighter side, someone was bound to get hurt in the end. And you did, you still have Brenda so focus on her and don't ruin their friendship," I advised.
"You have another girlfriend? I only knew Kendra," Mom asked.
"Let me fill you in, dear mother, your dearest son whom you think is very innocent was dating friends. He was dating Kendra, yes, but he is with Brenda, too. Same time," I revealed.
"Mike Zee!!" Mom exclaimed in shock.
"Mom, they weren't friends when it all started. They are friends now and that's why Kendra broke up with me. In a way, she chose Brenda over me. I guess she didn't love me that much," Mike defended himself.
"I didn't know you could be such an idiot son. But hey, you'll figure it out on your own. Focus on healing and this relationship with Brenda. You do need to get married in less than 6 months," Mom insisted.
"I know," Mike affirmed.
"And you too, Kelvin," Mom added.
"I know, mom," I replied.
"You should be buying a ring. You are in a perfect relationship," Mike commented.
"When are you bringing her home to meet me?" Mom asked.
"When the time is right, in the meantime, please stop stalking her," I requested.
"I'm not," Mom denied.
"I know you, mom, I know you," I insisted.
We had lunch, she ended up feeding me even though I said I wasn't hungry. She never listens to me, especially when it comes to my well being. We were finally on our way back to the house and I couldn't be more happier. All I needed was some rest and to hear my woman's voice.
"I'm going to sleep," Mike announced.
"Me too," I agreed.
We went to our separate rooms and I took my call monitor and called Shantel but it went to voicemail.
She might be busy.
Someone laid their heavy body on my bed and I knew it was Mike.
"And then?" I asked Mike.
"I'm sleeping with my brother, I'm heart broken and I can't sleep on my own. Come closer," Mike pleaded.
"This is so gay," I teased.
"And it will be worse. Make space for me, let's bromance," Keith announced.
And where did he come from? I don't know. But what I do know is that my brothers are annoying.

SHANTEL'S POV

"Shit!! Everything is just not in order today!" Kendra exclaimed.
"Hello to you too and damn you look like a mess, just like Mike," I observed.
"You saw him? How is he?" Kendra asked.
"He is a mess, like I just said. Come sit down and I'll get you some coffee," I offered.
"Simi went to get it. I'll be fine, I just need strong strong coffee," Kendra replied.
"Soooooo...," I prompted.
"What?" Kendra asked.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"No," Kendra admitted.
"What she wants to know is why are you like this? But I think it's pretty obvious, you're in love and heartbroken. Here's your coffee, it's strong as you requested," Simi explained.
"I didn't know leaving him would affect me this much, he usually calls everyday in the morning but he didn't today, and then it clicked, we're over. It hurts," Kendra confided.
"I'm sorry, you'll be okay. Gosh, I need to pee," I sympathized.
I ran to the toilet and did my business, I had little blood spots on my underwear.
"That's strange, I shouldn't be on my periods today."
I put a panty liner and washed my hands.
"Good morning, good people. And ugly Kendra, did you even bath?" Faith teased.
