Chapter 168
Sienna's pov
As we were talking, I couldn't help but yawn.
Eleanor looked puzzled. "No way, you've been on that medication for two weeks now. If it was gonna make you sleepy, it would've done it by now. I'll check you out when we get back to the villa."
I didn't think much of it.
In the past, I would always buy something when I went out shopping, but now I had no interest.
For me, shopping was just about wandering around and taking in the sights of this country.
It was a place I had never seen before.
I remembered before I turned eighteen, Nora often took me around the world, but we never came to Astoria.
She gave me a lot of love. In my heart, she was a competent mother, even if she wasn't my biological one.
After the Price family incident, I hadn't even left Regal City, let alone the country.
We wandered around for a while, and Eleanor started to get tired too, so we found a cake shop to rest.
There were outdoor seats, and we each ordered a coffee and a piece of cake.
A gentle breeze blew by, carrying the scent of the sea.
I thought I would feel better after sitting down for a bit, but after eating a little, my stomach felt even worse.
"Sienna , how are you feeling? Maybe we should head back."
I shook my head, feeling exhausted even from breathing. I had to lie down on the table to catch my breath.
It was such a disappointment to have something go wrong when I finally got out.
Eleanor didn't say anything, just waited for me to recover before chatting with me again.
I propped my chin up, feeling nauseated just looking at the cream on the cake.
"When we get back, I need to talk to Milo. If this is a side effect of the medication, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind."
Eleanor frowned at me and then stood up. "I'll get you some hot water."
I nodded lightly, took a couple of sips of coffee, but couldn't drink any more.
This feeling was all too familiar, but I hoped I was wrong.
Not long after the coffee, a dull pain started in my lower abdomen.
My suspicion was slowly being confirmed.
"Let's go inside and sit down. I'm feeling really tired."
The voice was familiar, but I didn't pay much attention until I turned my head and saw who it was. I quickly lowered my head and lay back on the table.
How could this be happening?
Even though Harrison and I were no longer in the same country, we still managed to run into each other.
And he was with his current wife.
It was as if fate was telling me that Harrison and I were not done yet.
"You sit here and rest. I'll go order."
I just prayed they wouldn't notice me. I didn't want all the efforts of the Moretti family to go to waste.
At least, not now.
The doorbell jingled, and the world suddenly went quiet.
In the outdoor seating area, it was just me and Kaia.
Kaia took a phone call.
"Are you sure? I saw Sienna 's burial with my own eyes. There's no mistake. She's dead. Why are you still looking for her? Even if she's not dead, she's disappeared. Haven't you achieved your goal? You can't possibly be in love with her, can you?"
Someone actually thought I was dead!
Kaia didn't say much more, and the call was short.
Eleanor and Harrison had been inside for a while, and I guessed they might have run into each other.
If they did, they would definitely argue.
Sure enough, the door opened with a loud bang, followed by Eleanor's voice.
"Unbelievable! Another homewrecker here. Double the bad luck. How do you even have the nerve to still be alive?"
At this rate, I was afraid I would be discovered.
Eleanor didn't sit back down immediately.
If she returned to her seat now, it would draw more attention to us.
Even if I was lying down, Harrison would recognize me if he noticed me.
"Dr. Wolfe, what a coincidence. But the current manager of your research institute is Harrison 's good friend. You don't need to make things worse."
Kaia said regretfully, "I know you're upset about Ms. Price's death and the accident that day. None of us could have predicted it. Harrison wanted to protect Ms. Price. If she had stayed in the villa as told, she wouldn't have been shot, right?"
She seemed like she was trying to make peace, but she was putting the blame on me.
I would die because of my own actions, and Harrison was always right.
"Sienna 's death is one thing, but you interfering in someone else's relationship, anyone would call you a bitch."
Harrison spoke up, "You should go back."
He must have been talking to Kaia.
"What? We came out together. How can I leave first?"
"Go back."
Harrison repeated, leaving no room for argument.
My heart tightened, fearing Harrison would notice something was off.
"Mr. Blackwood, what do you want to say to me alone?"
Eleanor sounded impatient. "Say it quickly. I have things to do."
"Ms. Wolfe, you and I both know your secret."
With these words, he revealed everything unspeakable.
"This time, I'll let her go."
"She's free."
Eleanor was shocked. "What are you talking about?"
But I didn't hear Harrison 's response.
"He's gone."
Eleanor's voice came from beside me, and I looked up, startling her.
"Why do you look so pale?! I'll call a car now. Let's go back."
I held my abdomen, uncertain. "When I was unconscious, are you sure I wasn't pregnant?"
Eleanor opened her mouth. "No... that can't be."
If I counted from the last time with Harrison , it had only been a little over a month. It was normal not to detect it when I was unconscious.
"I hope it's not true."
Being pregnant now would delay everything.
Back at Serenity Bay Villa , after the test results came out, Eleanor silently handed me the report.
"Sienna , your current condition isn't suitable for an abortion. If you have one, it will be very difficult to get pregnant again."
I glanced at the report and put it down.
"Let's ask Milo."
I didn't know if I should keep the baby.
If I wanted to sever all ties with Harrison , I shouldn't keep the baby.
Besides, what he said today meant he knew I was still alive.
If he wanted to, he would find me sooner or later. If I had the baby, he would take it away once he found out.
But this is my child, possibly my last. How could I bear to let it go?
Maybe I should let Milo decide.
He would probably call me a coward again.
Just then, the door opened, and Milo walked in with a stern face. "Astoria doesn't allow abortions. Have the baby."
This reason caught me off guard.
"But after the baby is born, it can't stay with you. I'll find someone to take care of it. Whether you can get it back later depends on your ability."
I asked calmly, "Why should I follow your arrangement for my own child?"
He said something that left me speechless.
"Do you want Harrison to find you?"
