Sienna's pov
"Is he... into me?"
I just replied: [A good friend. Guess if it's a guy or a girl?]
Dash shot back a question mark right away.
[Guess? I bet it's a guy! If it was a girl, you wouldn't be so secretive!]
Dash was older than me, but he felt like a little brother sometimes.
Luna glanced at my screen and looked surprised. "Him? Are you sure?"
"Sure about what?"
She must've gotten the wrong idea.
Luna said, all serious, "A boyfriend. Is he your next target?"
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Dash does seem like he's around my age.
"No way. Love just complicates things. Better to steer clear."
Luna frowned at my phone and pointed to a message. "I'm telling you, he likes you. Why else would he ask about the gender of the person you're with?"
Dash's question was pretty out of the blue. I couldn't be sure he didn't have feelings.
"No, he's just a good friend. Don't worry."
I put down my phone and tried to stop thinking about it.
"By the way, are you still talking to Zach?"
Zach was a bit sneaky, and I worried Luna might get played by him.
Luna looked up, thinking for a moment like she just remembered him. "Him? He said he wanted to date me, but I haven't seen him in days. Even ifhe shows up again, I'm done with him."
"What? He wants to date you?"
Even though Zach had said stuff like that before, I was still shocked.
"He doesn't seem serious."
Luna looked indifferent. "Whatever. I'm not into dating. If he wants to play games, I don't care."
Seeing Luna like this made my heart ache.
Luna, such a good girl, was hurt by Alexander.
Was this what love's pain felt like?
"Why not let him help you teach Alexander a lesson? See if he's serious."
Luna just smiled. "He's not dumb. Why would he listen to me? If he hits Alexander, Harrison will come after him."
"How do you know if you don't try? Maybe he's willing."
After spending some time with Zach, I realized he was sneaky but not a bad guy. He hadn't been too harsh on me, and he shouldn't be like Harrison with his girlfriend...
Just thinking about it made me sigh.
Unknowingly, my heart was leaning towards Zach.
"Sienna , I want to ask you a favor. Of course, you can say no."
Luna hesitated. "I feel like you might not want to."
"Tell me. If I can do it, I'll try my best."
Luna rarely asked for help.
We both hated troubling each other.
I had a feeling Luna's request had something to do with Alexander.
She took a deep breath. "I... hope you can go to Alexander's wedding for me. Just to see. I don't have the courage to go myself."
I understood the feeling.
It was a way to let go completely.
If she went herself, Alexander wouldn't let her leave.
"Okay, I promise."
Luna was surprised. "You agreed just like that? Aren't you worried about other things?"
"Like what? Harrison ?" I chuckled and shook my head. "You saw him today. He won't get too close to me in front of others."
I still didn't know what he was planning.
It was crucial to use Kaia, more important than using me.
The misunderstandings from before ended with Elena's life sentence.
Why did keep hurting me now?
Luna couldn't help but say, "If he can't even protect his own wife, what's the point of anything else?"
"Forget it, Luna. Let's just get some sleep."
Suddenly, the image of Elena being arrested flashed in my mind.
That day, she confessed to many things she had done, and the misunderstandings Julian created between Harrison and me.
I didn't feel much about what Julian did. I hated Harrison for not believing me more.
Harrison hurt me far more than the other two.
I vaguely knew I was dreaming, but I didn't dare make a sound.
Nora and I lived in a castle abroad for a long time.
I played alone most of the time, with no peers around.
One day, a man broke into the castle and stared at me for a long time.
His face was blurry in the dream.
He was tall, a whole head taller than me.
What did he say to me? Why did I never see him again?
The blurry face gradually became clear, revealing a familiar face.
Harrison , did we meet that early?
The next morning.
When I woke up, I had almost forgotten the dream.
Luna was already up, and I heard sounds from the kitchen.
I changed clothes, and Luna brought breakfast.
"Perfect timing. I was about to call you. After breakfast, I'll take you back to the Moretti Villa."
I shook my head. "It's okay. I'll go back myself. You should rest more. The flight must have been tiring."
"No worries. I'll take these few days to enjoy the sights of Regal City."
My phone buzzed with a message from Dash.
[Sienna ! Give me your location. I'll take you to visit my film set!]
I couldn't help but smile, then replied: [No need. I'll just go back. I don't want to trouble you.]
Visit the set? Not interested.
Dash insisted: [Don't go back. No one's home. Elias took Dad to the hospital for a check-up, and my big brother has to work overtime. Spend the day with me. I'll show you around!]
If no one was home, I could wander around outside.
I agreed and told Luna about it.
She gave me a meaningful look. "Sienna , I think you two might have a chance."
"Come on, he's too immature." I brushed it off. "And technically, he's my elder."
"So what? As long as the age difference isn't too big." Luna muttered, "Even if it is, it doesn't matter..."
Breakfast went smoothly.
Luna and I left together, and she waited with me for Dash.
She seemed more distracted than I was.
I thought I should confront Alexander at the wedding!
A black car stopped in front of me, the door opened automatically, and the passenger window rolled down. A man wearing sunglasses waved at me.
"Sienna , get in." He looked at Luna curiously. "Who's this?"
"It's nothing. Don't mind me. You guys go ahead."
Luna quickly ran off before I could get in the car.
"Your friend?"
After closing the door, Dash took off his sunglasses. "Did she misunderstand something?"
"What do you think?"
