Chapter 46 Someone Hit Us!

In a flash, the chill zipped from my left hand back to the Cancer Twin-Eared Cup and then vanished!

I squinted and saw the black chill seep into the guy's body.

In a daze, I witnessed a young woman being escorted to a rental house by this man. They hook up daily, only for it to emerge that he was already married. Deceiving her, he not only humiliated her but vanished without a trace.

The woman, heartbroken and betrayed, ended her life by jumping off a bridge. Her intense resentment turned her into a Hexwaft, haunting the man.

She wanted him to die in his favorite way, so she made him have wet dreams every night until he died from exhaustion.

These scenes flashed before my eyes, and I felt a surge of anger. The Cancer Twin-Eared Cup trembled slightly, and the chill excitedly moved around my left palm before disappearing again.

At that moment, the man's dark, sallow, shriveled face turned a bit rosy, and even his previously dull eyes had a glimmer of light.

I couldn't hold back my anger, stepped forward, and slapped the man hard twice!

"What the hell are you doing!" The man, wincing in agony, leapt up like a coiled spring and fixed me with a fierce stare. Were it not for our presence in Fortune Antiques, he might have retaliated on the spot.

I smiled and said, "Sir, I'm saving you."

"Saving me?"

Everyone looked puzzled.

I glared at him and asked, "Did you betray a woman?"

The man was stunned, looked around to make sure no one he knew was there, and then slowly nodded, "Yes."

"Did you ruin that woman?" I continued.

"I..." The man hesitated, covering his face in pain.

"Slapping you is to vent her anger!"

The man looked terrified upon hearing this, "Is... is her spirit back?"

"She's already gone." I sighed. Honestly, if I had known it was this kind of situation, I would never have helped him!

"Gone?"

"Yeah, your first move is to track her down and say sorry. Got it?"

Got it!" The man didn't dare object, muttered a quick thanks, and hastily made his exit.

Following that, the reception room remained empty of visitors.

Bruno glanced at the bag in my hand but didn't ask anything. After a brief conversation, Lorenzo, Alicia, and I left as it was getting late.

We originally came to attend the exchange meeting, but so many things happened in just one afternoon.

The exchange meeting started at 8:30 PM. As we chatted, we found a restaurant and ordered a few dishes.

I discussed the strength of Fortune Antiques with Lorenzo.

Gabriel, if he could just grow a bit more mentally, his real strength wouldn't fall short of mine; the boss Bruno was a diamond in the rough, his full potential hard to measure.

I was always curious about Lorenzo's strength, but from Bruno's thoughtful expression earlier, it seemed he had no impression of the expert who no longer worked in this field and opened a coffee shop.

The art market at night didn't have many tourists. If it weren't for tonight's exchange meeting attracting many insiders and enthusiasts, many vendors would have gone home.

The dishes were quickly served, and we chatted while eating. Alicia kept asking about the story of the man with wet dreams, which made me feel disgusted.

While we were eating, a commotion suddenly broke out at a nearby table.

"You jerk! Messing with my girl!"

"Taking an interest in your girl is a nod to you, don't be ungrateful!"

"You asking for trouble? I'll end you!"

"Bring it on!"

They were arguing while we were having a meal, which really made it hard to have an appetite. Alicia slapped the table, wanting to snap back at them, but Lorenzo stopped her with a gesture, indicating to finish eating and then leave.

Just as we were about to leave, the two men started fighting and moved towards us.

I swiftly rose to shield Lorenzo and Alicia. The two hefty, alcohol-fueled men barreled towards Alicia. I crouched down and shoved them to the floor.

"Oh—who is this!"

"Who hit me!"

"Call the police! Someone hit us!"
