Louisa and Scott's Mansion.
It had been seven months since Thea had left Louisa to be with Angel. While Louisa missed her dearly, they always stayed in touch and Thea visited often, but she and Angel had not seen eye to eye.
Despite her appreciation for him saving her daughter's life, she was yet to accept him as her daughter's lover.
However, Angel wasn't making it any easier for Louisa to harbor a tiny bit of dislike for him. Despite knowing she wouldn't want to see him, Angel made efforts to keep in touch with her. He sent packages to her every month and a note each time.
He wished her well at every important event and got her lots of presents during her birthday, which he wasn't invited to. But on this day, he had a different purpose.
Louisa was still in bed with Scott when a knock came at their door. It was one of the maids.
"What is it, Salome?" Louisa asked once she opened the door and saw the maid. Scott was right behind her, his hands placed on her shoulders, rubbing them gently.
"Ma'am, you have a package from Sir Angel," she said, and Louisa sighed. It had become a tradition for him. She should have gotten used to it by now. She felt Scott's hands grip her shoulder a little more firmly, and when she tilted to look at him, he smiled at her.
"Go on then, see what he has for you this month," Scott encouraged. He had allowed Louisa to go at her own pace in accepting Angel. Even though Angel was his son, he didn't try to pressure Louisa into accepting him. He knew it would take time, but eventually, Louisa had to forgive him.
"Where is it then?" she asked in a tired manner, lacking interest.
"I think you have to come downstairs, ma'am," the maid said, and Louisa felt curious. Angel's packages always came in a sizable box, but now, she was asked to go downstairs?
She took the stairs to the living room while Scott walked behind her. She had not taken more than three steps when she saw her entire living room decorated with flowers and boxes.
She stopped and gasped at the sight, then she looked at Scott, who nodded, encouraging her to go on.
"What's all this?" Louisa said with excitement in her voice. "What's the occasion?" She kept asking as she went downstairs, hoping that Scott would give her a clue, but he didn't.
The smell of the flowers was so nice, and it tickled her heart. She acknowledged in her heart that Angel was relentless and what he did was impressive.
"Did you know about this, Scott?" she asked, turning to her husband once they got to the center of the living room. "Was that why you kept me in bed...." She trailed off, realizing she was about to say something inappropriate in front of the maid. Scott chuckled as he held her in his arms, kissing her neck.
"I might have had an idea," he whispered beside her ear and bit it gently, causing to giggle. Her ear felt ticklish from what he did.
"This is so beautiful," she said, feeling emotional, then she went ahead to check out the flowers.
She picked the first box and unwrapped it. An amazed gasp left her throat, seeing the sparkling diamond necklace in it.
She had a box of her favorite chocolate, snacks, and more jewelry.
Angel had lavished her with lots of gift items.
"This is starting to feel like a bribe," she said as a smile tugged at her lip. She was also slightly suspicious. "Where's the note?" she asked and looked to see the maid holding up a crested message in a crystal template.
Angel really outdid himself this month.
He didn't send notes on paper like before, instead, he wrote his note on a crystal plate.
She went through the letter and saw Angel's request to take her on a date.
Her face fell, and she recounted the last few months and all that had happened. Her anger wasn't the same. In fact, she wasn't sure that she still hated Angel, especially seeing how happy Angel made her daughter.
"What are you going to do?" Scott asked her, looking hopeful. She shook her head slightly, not still sure if she was ready to meet him, but she answered regardless.
"I'll think about it."

Angel and Thea's Mansion.
Thea.
These last seven months had been the best time of our lives. It had never been so peaceful, so liberating, to be able to be with each other and not have to worry about anybody or anything.
Angel and I blossomed together. I pursued new interests and continued with old ones that were healthy. We shared lots of time together, saving up memories not just in our hearts but in pictures.
Everyone was doing well for themselves in their love life as well, and it was the happiest thing ever.
I still enjoyed my mum's company. I always visited her, and she enjoyed my presence too, but one thing was missing.
Her relationship with Angel.
I knew Angel had tried to keep in touch with Mum, but she seemed to distance herself from him.
He wasn't in a rush to win her over; he was patient while working towards it.
I stirred in my sleep and into Angel's arms. I felt him pull me closer, rubbing my back and trailing his hands to my waist. A blush crept up my face when I looked down and saw our naked bodies. Our night was both passionate and fierce. Angel pulled me closer to him as he held my ass.
"You're awake," his voice came out deep and raspy.
"Of course. You wouldn't stop kissing me, Angel," I said, recounting how I was dealt with kisses on my lips. Angel's lips curled into a smile as he squeezed my ass more.
"I wanted to get you out of sleep. You were taking too long, and I missed you already."
"Even while I'm here?" His words sent a jolt of electricity over my body.
"Even while you're this close to me. I wish I could wear you," he said, and we both erupted in laughter. And when we stopped, Angel rubbed the tip of my nose while licking his lips seductively.
"It's been seven months, can you believe it?" I asked, still intrigued myself. Angel hummed a yes and relaxed back on the bed while pulling me into his arms as he did.
"I know. Can't believe we have no one to worry about," he said. It was truly amazing, and it made me enjoy this moment even more.
I was even more glad for Angel's efforts so far in keeping the promise he made to me after our first reconciliation. I was in his office that day, when he showed me the companies he had shares in. He had said he wanted to be a responsible husband and father to our kids. I remembered him saying he wanted to stop doing drugs.
Angel had stopped doing drugs and slowly cut off ties with buyers and suppliers. He even left the mafia council and had been busier after that than before.
He wouldn't disclose what he was doing to me, and curiosity almost killed me, but I decided to be patient, knowing he probably planned to surprise me.
My phone rang, and I tried to reach for it, but Angel pulled me back. He pulled my ass closer to his face while I giggled. And he grazed his teeth over my bottom.
"It's not breakfast call yet, the call can wait," Angel said, pulling me back from reaching my phone.
"What if it's important?" I said softly, and he let out a frustrated sigh and kissed my bottom before letting me go.
It was Florentine on the phone.
"Thea, I think you have a package," Florentine said, surprising me.
"Me?"
"Yes. The note says it's from your mother, Louisa," she said, and Angel and I looked at each other, quite curious and surprised.
My mum never sent a package to me, but I was aware that Angel sent something to her.
The look on our faces was clad with suspicion. I could tell that we were thinking the same thing, that my mum returned his flowers.
We freshened up and headed downstairs. We saw a box filled with cookies baked by Louisa and fresh daisies from her garden, my favorite. We went through the letter after receiving the package from a maid. And it read thar Louisa invited us for a three-day stay at the mansion, also telling Angel that she accepted his invitation.
"Can't believe this. Finally, she accepted," Angel exclaimed, knowing all the efforts he put into winning Louisa over these past few months. I was equally very excited, especially for Angel, knowing how much he wanted this.
This was a good sign that she was finally willing to accept Angel. She never refused any of his gifts, but she never really let him know if she was okay with him.
