The next morning, I snuck out of Angel's room to head back to my room. It was funny that I had to sneak since Angel and I were full grown adults but the circumstances didn't permit us to act like one. As I walked carefully, darting my eyes around for my mum so she didn't see me, I got startled when I saw her coming in my direction. I run into the kitchen to avoid hoping she wasn't coming this way too but I get startled again when I see Scott.

Scott looks at me suspiciously and I try to act normal.

"Hey.... Scott." I called hoping my voice didn't sound nervous.

"How was your night?" He asked holding a glass of water in his hand.

"Great!" I said and he nodded but didn't look convinced at the unbothered act I was putting up now.

"I see...." He said then gulped down the glass of water.

"I came for some milk." I said moving towards the fridge. Even the silence felt awkward.

"Over there." He points showing me a carton of it. There was none in the fridge.

"Have you seen Angel this morning." I gasped, taken aback by his question. I opened my mouth to speak but shut it back up. Scott looked at me curiously and I let out a nervous laugh.

"No." I said and took a can of milk raising it to him."Thanks, I'll be off now." I quickly said and hurried towards the door.

"So does he know?" I stopped in my tracks the moment I heard Scott's question. The meaning registered immediately and I felt very awkward. I retracted my steps and turned to Scott wondering why he was bringing that up now.

"Know what?" I asked feigning ignorance.

"About us." He said tilting his head low to stare more intensely at me.

"There's no us Scott. It was in the past." I said hating that he had to bring such disgusting past up.

"Sure, that's what I meant." He said and I nodded. Exhaling in relieve.

"Good." I muttered then made a step to leave but he stopped me again.

"You need to be transparent with him. He needs to know...." I snapped my head in his direction. What exactly was his deal? Things were starting to look good for Angel and I, why was he trying to insist on Angel knowing?

"He doesn't want to know." I said remembering how Angel didn't want to hear my past before we came here.

"He doesn't or you don't want to tell him?"

"He doesn't want to know Scott, so quit it." I said getting slightly pissed off.

"So you're just going to hide something this huge from him?" I moved closer to him. His voice was louder than I was comfortable with.

"I'll tell him when he's ready to hear it." I said almost whispering.

"What if he's never ready?"

"Then I don't tell him." The place falls silent and is only broken when Scott let out a deep sigh.

"This isn't fair to him." He says and leaves.

Why was he trying to make me feel bad about this? Wasn't he the least worried about how Angel would react to the fact that we once had an affair?

Angel didn't want to know and right now, I wasn't ready to tell him the truth.

Scott didn't give up on telling Angel the truth. If Thea wasn't going to do it then he would. He believed Angel deserved to know the truth. It was hard for him and Louisa when she found out that he had an affair with Thea. They were able to reconcile despite how awkward it was. He believed Angel shouldn't be left in the dark.

Later that day, Scott had called Angel to speak with him privately making sure that Thea wasn't aware of it.

"I've been a terrible father to you Angel." Scott started. "Forgive me but I have to say I'm really sorry for what I did to your mum." He said opening up wounds that had yet to heal completely.

"Don't call her... Please." Angel said getting Angry. He could only tolerate his father but as long as his mum was in a vegetative state, he wasn't sure he could forgive his father.

"Angel.... Son." Angel stopped him from coming any closer as pain surged into his heart remembering his mum.

"I try everyday to forgive you. No one is perfect. I'm not any better too. I've done terrible things maybe worse than you. I've been forgiven even when I didn't deserve it but dad, as long as mum is unconscious, it will always be a reminder. So I don't need any more reminders. I just want to live and be happy."

"With Thea?"

"You already know the answer."

"I can tell that Thea loves you so much to stay with you even if you've done such horrible things and I do believe you are in love with her as much too." Scott said admitting that fact.

"You can't imagine how much I love her and just how much I'm willing to do for her." Angel said.

"I'm happy you got to experience that depth of love. I don't have the right to speak against you or not accept your love for each other but there's something you need to know. Something that weighs on my conscience." Scott said glancing at the window to know if someone was lurking.

Angel dosen't seem too curious which surprises him.

"If it's about Thea don't bother. Whatever you have to say, it won't change how I feel about her." Angel said surprising scott the more.

"You've not even heard it."

"Don't try to convince me."

"Thea and I once had an affair." He blurts out the words seeing how uninterested Angel was. The air in the room becomes tensed. Angel wasn't saying anything but the energy Scott was getting from him now made him to be on the side of caution. Had he crossed the line? Did his son really not want to know? Still, he dared to ask. "Is your heart unchanged?" Angel stared dangerously into Scott's eyes making his blood run cold.

"Yes." He answered and Scott is in disbelieve. "But my heart certainly changed towards you." Angel said with a hateful glare at him. Scott had an instant regret of his action. "Now, I'm angry." Angel said and his anger rolled into heavy punches at Scott such that he falls. He runs out of the room but Angel goes after him. He held Scott by his collar and landed a blow to his face causing him to stumble over.

Hearing the commotion happening, Thea and her mum rush out. The guards go to pull Angel away from Scott who had his face bleeding already.

Thea and Louisa watch in horror at the sight. Louisa had gone to her husband's side not understanding what Scott could have done to get Angel so angry as to hit his own father. Thea just stood there, her conversation with Scott earlier that day replaying in her mind.

"I already figured it long time ago Scott. I didn't need to be fucking told again!" Angel yelled, his anger rising again as he surged forward to Scott.

"Angel stop it!" Thea yelled and he stopped to look at her. The anger was still evident on his face and she felt very ashamed that he had to find out through Scott.

Louisa stands to her feet coming before Angel.

"What is this about?" Scott stood up as well wiping his blood stained mouth. He passes Thea a glance and looks at Louisa who demanded an explanation.

"I told Angel the truth you couldn't tell him." Scott said directing his words to Thea.

Thea didn't know if she should hate him for it or be grateful that the truth was finally out of the bag despite how it was revealed.

"I said I was going to tell him myself. You didn't need to." She said choosing neither of the options. She didn't hate Scott neither was she grateful but she was certainly angry.

"The three of us knew already. It was unfair to keep him in the dark about it." Scott continued to defend his actions while Angel took a deep breath to calm his heart before speaking.

"I've always known Thea." Angel said shocking Thea. "I also knew about you and Carl but that was before us." Thea gasped. He always knew. Thea felt so awful for not being open to him earlier.

"I'm so sorry Angel." She said as tears glistened in her eyes. Angel stretched out his hand to her. Even though being reminded of her affair with his father annoyed him, he didn't feel angry at Thea because it all happened before they became a thing. Thea hesitates to go to him but he beckons on her and she runs into his arms tearing up more.

She had been so scared to tell him the truth and here he was, making things easy for her.

"I'm glad you're mine. Your past dosen't matter. Okay?" He said stroking her hair. She nods, hugging him more tightly. "I just had to punch him to feel good. You understand right?" He explained and she nodded again getting amused by it.
