Thea

Now that everything was settling in, it was time to visit my mum. I knew she had been waiting for my return. In the meantime, I heard a beautiful time at the mansion, staying with my girls, the men and most importantly Angel.

I was really glad that everything had been settled, our enemies defeated. It felt like a huge burden had been lifted from our shoulders.

For the first time, it didn't feel like we were on the edge, it felt really relaxing and joyful. The life we had now was what we had always fought to achieve. To see it become a reality was a dream come true.

At the mansion, while we were getting ready to leave, Angel and I were already dressed and he was sitting across me on a stool, holding my hands. It felt so emotional knowing that we had nothing to worry about.

Except that there was one thing I haden't been honest with him about.

It was about Scott.

Our relationship was having a fresh start and I didn't want to build it in secrecy. I wanted to be completely open to him, including the fact that I once had an affair with his father.

"Angel." I called softly, mustering the courage to speak. "There's something I need to tell you." I could feel my heart pounding so loudly against my chest. I was really nervous at how he would react with the truth. Angel stared at my quivering hands then he rubbed his thumb against it. He looked really concerned.

"What is it?" He asked.

"It's about my past." I said and studied his expression. Angel sighed and only held my hand more tightly. His eyes were filled with so much affection as if he was trying to tell me my past didn't matter. "It's about an affair I had with someone....."

"Shhhhh...." Angel hushed me and I wasn't ready to back out now. I had already started talking. It took so much courage for me to even start talking. I just needed him to hear me out.

"I don't care how many men you had an affair with or whoever it was. I want you Thea. I need you in my life. Nothing is going to change that. Especially, nothing in your past." He said and my eyes stung with tears. I tucked in my lips as it quivered. I was trying to hold down the fluid that welled up in my eyes. I was moved by his words but the truth needed to be said.

"But I really need to....." I paused seeing him shake his head in disapproval. "It's about your father...."

"My love." Angel caught me off. "I'm not any better than you and besides I might know what you want to say."

"W-what?" I was shocked. Did he suspect my affair with his father? Had he always known?

"It doesn't matter. Whatever it is."

"Still....."

"Still ... it's in the past Thea. I don't want to know. Especially if it will hurt me." He said and I could see that he was serious. The fact that he thought it might hurt him and didn't want to know wasn't even a good sign to continue speaking. So I nodded and had to let it go. At least for now.

Angel and I headed downstairs afterwards, where everyone was waiting for us. The ladies stood beside their men. They all didn't look happy.

I exchanged hugs with them and today it seemed as though none of them wanted to let me go.

"I'm coming back, I promise." I said seeing through their fears.

"You better." Camila said. Her tone sounded more like a warning. "Your godson won't forgive you if you leave him again." She said and I trailed my eyes to my precious godson. He smiled when I touched him and my heart melted like it did everytime he smiled at me.

I loved him so much so how would I dare abandon him again?

"I won't leave you again I promise." I whispered the words to him. His tiny finger wrapped around my thumb. His softeness making me miss him already.

"Come here Thea." Camila said and I carefully hugged her so I didn't press the baby.

We broke from the hug and I went to Cassandra. She was pouting already. "No matter what happens, come back." She said holding my hands. "I won't forgive you if you break my brother's heart again." She warned and a laugh erupts from both of us. We hug each other then I move to Florentine. I smiled at Carl who was behind her rubbing her shoulder. She had a youthful glow ever since they fell in love with each other. I was happy for her.

"This isn't a goodbye. I don't know why everyone is acting like it but still be warned." Florentine said then she caressed my cheek. We hug as well and right after we were done, Carl hugged me and dropped a kiss on my forehead.

"You better have your feets back here. Knight and I would personally lead an operation to steal you back if you do otherwise." Caspian said, also warning me. I chuckle at his words then looked at everyone. "I'll be back."

When we arrived at our parents place, I felt nervous and Angel noticed it. He pulled me in for a hug, rubbing my back soothingly.

"You're going to be fine my love. You just have to get her to listen even if she doesn't accept your decision. And if you for any reason you decide you need more time. I'll still be here... Waiting." Angel said assuring me. The main purpose of our visit today was to let my mum know that I had decided live at the mansion despite having two months left for our one year agreement to end.

With everything that had happened, the one year agreement to me wasn't valid any more.

I shook my head, not accepting the idea that Angel was willing to wait. "I've made up my mind Angel. Not one night, not one day do I want to spend apart from you. These past eight months has been terrible without you. I can't live through that nightmare again." I said meaning every word of it. Angel stared deep into my eyes, then he caressed my face with his thumb. It felt warm and soothing.

"Neither can I. I'd be miserable again without you Thea. Let's do everything we can to be together." He said and I nodded. I sigh deeply and he takes my hands to drop a gentle kiss on my knuckles.

When we got in, our parents were there to welcome us. My mum looked emotional to see me but acted awkward around Angel. I could see she haden't yet forgiven him, at least not entirely but there was already a soft spot knowing he had risked his life to save mine.

Dinner was awkward but we managed to get through it. The night had run it's course and it was time to head to bed. Angel and I go up to my room hoping to share the night together but Louisa's voice stops us right at the door.

"You're heading to bed?" She asked darting her eyes from Angel to me. Angel and I shared a glance as well before focusing our gaze on her.

"Yes." I answered and saw the displeasure in her expression.

"Your room is downstairs Angel. You understand you can't stay in the same room as Thea. Not in my house." She said with a firm voice.

"I understand." Angel said and I looked at him in surprise. He didn't even let me counter my mum.

"Angel....?" I called.

"It's fine my love." He said cupping my face in his hands. He kisses my forehead as against my lips, he was trying not to annoy my mum yet her displeasure was unhidden. She looked away and I sighed in frustration.

"Goodnight." Angel said holding my hands but I could see he didn't want to go.

"Goodnight." I said and he began to pull his hand away from me but I didn't want to let go. I held on till our his hands slipped away from mine.

I watched him leave then went into my own room. Mum had followed Angel to show him his room. I hated that she interrupted.

I kept turning in bed unable to sleep for over an hour now so I picked up my phone and texted Angel.

'I can't sleep on my own.' I sent the text and received a message from him immediately.

'Me neither but your mum's orders.' He replied.

'She's asleep with her husband and I'm lonely here. I need you my love.' I said wishing he would just ignore my mum and come back here.

'I miss you.' he said and I gasped. My heart had leaped and I made a crying face.

'Then come get me.'

'Your mum hates me, I don't want her hating me anymore than she does.'

I sighed in frustration. He wasn't going to budge.

'So what I'm I going to do?'

'We just have to endure it.' his reply wasn't helping at all.

'I don't want to endure it.

'Please....' I huff at his reply then left the chat. I leave my bed, sliding into my flip flops then headed downstairs.

If Angel wouldn't come to me then I'd go to him.

I was standing in front of a door but I had no idea what room my mum had given him so I had to call.

"What room is it?" I asked and he sighed deeply over the phone, keeping quiet for some seconds.

"You can't be serious." His deep voice echoed over the phone but silly me, it sent chills down my body.

"I am serious. Except you want someone to catch me lurking around you better get the...." I was cut short as the door in front of me opened.

There was silence for some seconds as Angel and I were now standing in front of each other, surprised.
