Chapter 51 Chapter 51: Miss Hudson, Are You A Star?
The villa was the house of Cristofer and her, but Cristofer rarely returned. Most of the time, she was staying alone.
Every day, she would cook a lot of food for Cristofer and wait for him to come back. And at midnight, she would eat the cold food in disappointment, alone and pour the leftovers into the trash can.
‘Since I can’t live long, I should live for myself and enjoy my last days. There won’t be many chances for me to enjoy myself. But…'
Estelle thought of something, took out her phone, and sent a message to Mr. Mysterious.
‘Sir, can I ask for a day off today?’
‘Sure. Take care of yourself.’
‘You know where I am?’ Estelle texted him again.
‘Yes.’ Mr. Mysterious replied shortly.
Although Estelle knew Mr. Mysterious was capable and powerful, she was still surprised when seeing the reply.
‘Sir, have you installed a GPS tracker on my phone?’
‘No.’
‘Then how do you know where I am?’
‘Because I know you well. I also know the people around you well, such as your good friend Rebecca.’
Biting her lower lip, Estelle took a look at Rebecca.
At this moment, Rebecca was driving, wearing Bluetooth earphones, and talking on the phone happily.
Estelle then received a message from Mr. Mysterious again.
‘Have a good time. Pay attention to safety and call me before you go home, huh?’
‘Okay.’ Estelle replied to him briefly.
Somehow, every time she read the message from Mr. Mysterious, she felt as if he was whispering in her ear, just like what he did every night when they lay together on the bed. She could even imagine his gentle and hoarse voice.
“Estelle, I’ll take you to buy clothes first. The ring is so beautiful that you must buy a beautiful dress that matches it.”
Estelle didn’t bother to go shopping, so she said, “Rebecca, I don’t want to go shopping.”
“I promised to buy you jewellery, but you paid for it in the end. I must buy you clothes today. It won’t take much time to buy clothes. Let’s go. I’ll dress you up and make you more eye-catching!” Rebecca smiled at her.
Then she drove to a women’s clothing store and pulled Estelle into it. “Estelle, choose whatever you like. I can’t afford the expensive jewellery, but I can afford the clothes.”
Estelle knew that Rebecca wouldn’t change her mind and had to follow her in.
This store was also of a famous brand. Although it was not a luxury store, its clothes were not cheap.
Estelle chose a simple dark blue dress with a thin silver belt. The dress set her figure off to advantage, making her legs look more slender and her skin fairer.
“Miss, you have good taste!” The saleswoman was amazed by Estelle and said, “This dress suits you well!”
Looking at herself in the mirror, Estelle had mixed feelings.
It had been six years since the last time she bought new clothes.
In the past, she loved going shopping the most. She always bought many clothes and bags, just like other girls. But since she got married, she has never gone shopping.
Fortunately, she still had good taste in picking clothes.
“Miss, this floral dress also suits you,” The saleswoman said and showed her a dress. Then she exclaimed, “This floral dress sets off your fair skin. Miss, you are born for floral patterns!”
When Estelle heard that, her smile faded away a little. “No, thanks. I don’t like floral patterns. I’ll just take this dark blue one,” She instantly refused.
“Don’t you like this floral one? It suits you...”
“No, I only want this blue one. Please pack my clothes for me. Thank you,” Estelle said.
At this time, Rebecca came over, waved her hand, and said to the saleswoman, “We’ll only take this one. You may go and pack the clothes now.”
“Okay. Please wait a moment, ladies,” The saleswoman spun around and went to the counter.
Looking at Estelle in the mirror, Rebecca was also amazed. “Estelle, you are so beautiful. Sure enough, you are what you wear. Now, you look more charming than the celebrities!”
Estelle couldn’t help smiling and saying, “Stop flattering me.”
“No, I’m just telling the truth! Trust me. Estelle, I’m so proud of you!”
“Proud of me? Why?” Estelle was appalled.
Rebecca said mysteriously, “Nothing. You’ll know it later.”
Then she paid the bill happily.
After that, she took Estelle to another store and bought her a set of cosmetics before going back to the car with excitement.
“Estelle put on makeup quickly. Light makeup is fine. You look most beautiful when you wear light makeup,” Rebecca said with an expectant look.
Estelle was a little puzzled. Seeing her pale face in the mirror, she put on light makeup to make herself look less haggard.
Soon, Rebecca drove her to a board game club.
When they arrived, many people were playing games inside excitedly. Most of them were men and looked about the same age as Estelle and Rebecca.
“Ahem!” Rebecca cleared her throat to attract their attention. “Hey, guys! Here I come!”
The young men didn’t even turn their heads to look at her, and they all concentrated on playing games.
“Take a seat. You said you would bring beauty here. Where is the beauty?” A man said casually without looking at her.
Rebecca pinched his ear and forced him to turn his head. “I didn’t lie to you. I’ve brought the beauty here. Open your eyes wide and look at her!”
The man winced in pain and turned his head while begging for mercy. The next moment, he saw Estelle and was stunned. “Oh, my goodness...”
With a proud smile on her face, Rebecca asked, “I didn’t lie to you, right?”
The man rubbed his hand against his clothes and reached out to shake hands with Estelle. “Hello, Miss. My name is Ingemar. Nice to meet you.”
Estelle politely shook hands and said gently, “Hi, I’m Estelle Hudson. Nice to meet you.”
“Wow, what a good name!”
Rebecca said with her arms folded, “Tut-tut. Ingemar, your attitude was not so good when we talked on the phone. Why do you suddenly become so gentle?”
Ingemar felt a little embarrassed and blushed. Then he said, “I didn’t expect that you would bring such a beautiful lady. You are always like a tomboy and have few friends except us. I thought you were just bragging.”
Rebecca stood akimbo and said angrily, “I was bragging?”
“No, no, no. You were not bragging,” Ingemar said at once. Then he turned to Estelle and asked, “Miss Hudson, are you a star?”
“No,” Estelle said and shook her head.
“Well, are you working at the moment?” Ingemar asked again.
“I...” Estelle stammered, “I don’t have a job yet.”
