Upon entering the room, Estelle felt a bit embarrassed and remarked, “This room is small and can’t compare to the one in your house. The bed is also small, so you’ll have to endure it for tonight.”
“This room is rather nice. A small space like this gives me a sense of security,” Cristofer replied as he placed Yohan on the bed, knelt down, and assisted Yohan in removing his cow-shaped slippers.
After that, he unfolded the quilt for Yohan.
When Yohan lay down, he covered him with the quilt and tucked him in.

“Have you ever taken care of a child like this before?” Estelle couldn’t help asking.
“No. And I will only do such things for my children,” Cristofer answered as he slightly glanced at her side.

After tucking Yohan in, Cristofer stood up and turned to look at her.
To avoid his gaze, Estelle averted her eyes and swiftly climbed into the bed. She lifted a corner of the quilt and settled beside Yohan.
Her speed left Yohan wide-eyed. “Mom, have you ever practiced Kungfu?” he inquired.
Estelle responded, “No, I just felt a bit cold, so I got under the quilt quickly.”
“Ah, I get it,” Yohan replied. He moved closer to Estelle, held her arm, and then turned to Cristofer, saying, “Dad, come to bed quickly. Mom is cold! She needs you!”
Estelle, who had assumed that Yohan was simply trying to warm her hands, was surprised by his request for Cristofer to join them.
In her astonishment, she hastily said to Cristofer, “It’s fine, really. It’s warm under the quilt, and I’m not cold anymore.”
“Alright,” Cristofer acknowledged calmly. He slowly got into bed and settled on the other side of Yohan.
Cristofer and Estelle had grown up together and had been in a relationship for over ten years.
