It was not until then that Estelle suddenly realized that the man in front of her was Cristofer, not Mr. Mysterious.
Feeling awkward, she said, “I guessed it.”
“Was Mr. Mysterious’ arm also injured before?” Cristofer saw through her and asked, “Did he get injured in his left arm or right arm?”
“Left arm.”
“What a coincidence. I was also injured in the left arm,” Cristofer said, “How did he get injured?”
“He didn’t tell me,” Estelle shook her head and answered.
“Hmm.”
“What about you? How did you injure your arm?” Estelle asked.
“I had a car accident before,” Cristofer said, “After you went abroad, I had a serious car accident, and my arm was injured.”
Estelle nodded, thinking, ‘It sounds that your injury is not as serious as that of Mr. Mysterious.’
She had secretly checked Mr. Mysterious’ arm once. His forearm had been deformed, and it seemed that it had been hit by something hard.
But until now, she still didn’t know what exactly happened to Mr. Mysterious’ arm that it looked so horrible.
Cristofer said in a gentler tone, “According to what you said before, I can see that he’s a considerate man. Maybe he didn’t want you to worry about him, so he didn’t tell you the reason why he got injured.”
Hearing this, Estelle forced a smile and said softly, “I didn’t expect you to speak for Mr. Mysterious. I thought you would...”

“Nothing.”
“You thought I hate him and would speak ill of him?” Cristofer asked.

“As I said, I’m very jealous of him. But I don’t hate him. When you were in the most helpless time, he appeared and helped you. Without him, maybe we wouldn’t even have had a chance to talk with each other now. I should thank him to a certain extent,” Cristofer said sincerely.
Estelle licked her lips and said, “What he did has nothing to do with you. Besides, I also have nothing to do with you now.”
Since she had no feelings for Cristofer, she thought drawing a clear line between them was necessary. She also treated Tim in the same way.
Knowing what she meant, Cristofer nodded and said, “You can take a shower now. I’ll go out now.”
When Estelle raised her head to look at him, Cristofer had already opened the bathroom door and walked out. Then he closed the door.
“I’ll be quick.”
“Take your time,” Cristofer said. His voice sounded dull.
The bathroom was full of steam.
Estelle slowly walked to the bathtub and put her hand into the water. The water temperature was just right.
After taking a quick bath, she put on the bathrobe, gently opened the door, and walked out.
It was quiet in the living room, and she could only hear Cristofer's even breath.
Cristofer lay on the sofa. As he was tall and had long legs, the sofa was too small and short for him. And half of his legs were hanging down on the ground.
His posture looked very strange, and it could be seen that it was uncomfortable for him to sleep on the sofa.
However, he was sleeping soundly. His face had a slight frown, and his arms were crossed over his chest.
Seeing his sleeping position, Estelle remembered that she had read a book saying that if a person slept in such a sleeping position, it showed that he felt insecure.
Sensing her coming close to him, Cristofer woke up.
With an exhausted look, he looked at her with confusion in his eyes for a few seconds as if he had forgotten where he was.
“Star?” He mumbled.
“I’ve finished bathing. You can take a shower now,” Estelle said.
“Ah...” Cristofer, who had a splitting headache, rubbed his temples hard. After a few seconds, he was wide awake and said, “Okay.”
“Then I’ll go back to the bedroom first.”
“Okay,” Cristofer said. Then he suddenly thought of something and asked, “What’s the brand of your essential oil?”
“I’ve never used essential oil,” Confused Estelle answered.
“But there is a pleasant and soothing smell in the air, which makes me feel sleepy.”
Estelle said, “Maybe it’s because you are too tired after working all day that you felt sleepy. You’d better go back home quickly after showering and rest early. You still have to go to work tomorrow.”
Cristofer wanted to say something but then hesitated. After a short silence, he nodded and said, “Okay. I’ll leave at once after I finish taking a shower.”
Without saying anything, Estelle nodded and then walked quickly toward her bedroom in a fluster.
She was able to distinguish between Mr. Mysterious and Cristofer in the daytime. But when it was night, she couldn’t distinguish between them.
She might have mistaken Cristofer for Mr. Mysterious again just now if it weren’t for their different voices.
Estelle then kept thinking about Mr. Mysterious’ voice and told herself silently that she must memorize it.
There was still so much time left in her life. She was terrified that her memory of Mr. Mysterious would fade away as time passed by.
As Estelle was about to enter her bedroom, Yohan peeked out from the guest room, rubbed his eyes sleepily, and asked, “Mom, did Dad leave again?”
“No, he is taking a shower,” Estelle responded.
Yohan then breathed a sigh of relief and said, “I thought Dad was away to hit the bad guys again. He used to leave at night. Mom, may I sleep with Dad tonight?”
“Dad has to work tomorrow and needs a good rest,” Estelle said helplessly. “Let him read you a story another day, okay?”
“Okay,” Yohan nodded. “But Mom, I just want Dad to stay with me for one night. I’ll be quiet and won’t disturb him when he sleeps.”
His pleading tone made Estelle’s heart soften, and she couldn’t help feeling guilty.
Except for the time when Mr. Mysterious lived with them together, Yohan had never enjoyed paternal love. Therefore, he was very clingy when he was with Cristofer.
Opening her arms and hugging Yohan, Estelle asked, “Yohan, do you remember your Dad who bought you a school bag and Iron Man models?”
“Yes, I do,” Yohan nodded, feeling Estelle’s question was a little strange. Then he pointed toward the bathroom and said, “Isn’t he taking a shower right now?”
“No, this Dad is your biological father, not that Dad.”
Tilting his head, Yohan thought for a while and said, “Mom, I can’t distinguish between them.”
