Estelle didn’t want to listen to their conversation anymore and walked towards Gary’s room alone.
When she was about to enter the room, the family doctor happened to come out.

“Yes, yes,” Luke replied, pulling Estelle into the room. “Old Mr. Hans, Estelle is here to see you.”
Lying on the bed with a ghastly pale face, Gary was groggy and didn’t have the energy to speak, but he still tried his best to gather his strength and reached out his hand.
“Estelle...”
“Grandpa, I’m here.”
She walked over and reached out a hand to hold Gary’s withered hand. Feeling the coldness of his hand, she considerately wrapped her hands around his to warm it up.
Gary smiled and said, “I’m glad you’re here. It seems that you still care about Cristofer. Just now, I heard you say you’ve divorced Cristofer. That’s not true, is it?”
Estelle remained silent.
Seeing Luke keep winking at her anxiously, she sighed and answered in a low voice, “No...”
“That’s good,” Gary said happily.
He held Estelle’s hand tightly and then said to Luke, “I knew it. They have been together for so many years and won’t get divorced so easily.”
Feeling a lump in his throat, Luke nodded and said, as his eyes turned red, “Old Mr. Hans, you need a good rest now. How about we talk later?”
“No. I’m happy now. I want to talk!” Gary said and sighed with satisfaction, “Estelle is and will be the only granddaughter-in-law of our family. I won’t let any other woman marry Cristofer, especially Gretchen! She won’t marry into our family unless I die!”
Hearing this, Luke couldn’t help but feel a little sad and disappointed.
‘But Mr. Hans seems determined to marry Gretchen. And it’s difficult to change his mind,’ he thought.
“Where is Cristofer? Is he here?” Gary asked.
“Yes, he’s here. He came together with Estelle.”

Estelle immediately stopped him, “Grandpa, I don’t need him to apologize.”
“He must apologize to you!” Gary insisted, “Estelle, he has done many wrong things that made you sad before. He should apologize. Don’t worry. From now on, I’ll be on your side and won’t let anyone bully you, including Cristofer!”
Seeing this, Luke patted Cristofer's back gently and urged him in a low voice, “Mr. Hans, do as Old Mr. Hans said quickly. Don’t make him angry anymore.”
“I’m sorry,” Cristofer said with his head lowered.
Gary was unsatisfied with his attitude, “Who are you apologizing to? Me?”
“Estelle, I’m sorry.”
“Do you think apologizing is enough?” Gary’s voice is still angry.
Cristofer was speechless, and blue veins stood out on his temples.
After a few seconds, he continued in a deep voice, “I will fulfill my responsibility as a father. I will pay child support.”
Hearing this, Gary sensed something wrong, “Why are you only talking about the children? You should promise Estelle that you will be good to her in the future and break up with Gretchen! If Estelle doesn’t forgive you, kneel and beg her!”
“Grandpa,” Cristofer said and took a deep breath. “I can’t do it.”
“What do you mean?” Gary was so furious that he struggled to sit up.
Seeing this, Luke and Estelle were frightened and hurried to help him.
Gary was extremely weak. With the help of Luke and Estelle, he barely sat up, wobbly and out of breath, saying, “Are you still unwilling to break up with Gretchen?”
With a pained expression, Cristofer said, “Grandpa, I must marry her.”
