‘‘Isiaah, w-what are you doing?’’ Maeluthe was shocked to see the man kneeling in front of her. He doesn’t look back. It was actually on its knees and focused on opening a small box.

When it was opened, a beautiful, glowing ring appeared on it. That’s why the people around the two of them shouted.

‘‘I love you so much, Mae. The people here know that very well. I know I made a huge mistake. It might be hard to forget, but I am willing to do everything I can. I will make it all up to you. And please, don’t you ever think that I’m doing this just because I feel responsible for the child. That’s not true, and I’ll never do that. The truth is I want to be with you for the rest of our lives because I love you. . . . with or without a child in your womb, I’ll marry you. I’ll love you and our child unconditionally–’’ Isiaah stopped speaking then looked at the woman in surprise.

He easily sneered at her and then held her face to caress her.

Maeluthe was about to speak to ask why did he stop talking when she heard someone.

‘‘Mae, are you okay?’’

She could feel the intense and strange feeling of her stomach.

‘‘Mae, are you okay?!’’

‘‘Mae!’’

Maeluthe just turned around and quickly ran to the bathroom to vomit completely. She is like this every day. She felt it was too late for morning sickness, but the doctor said it was normal.

Maeluthe was ten weeks pregnant, and she had become used to the situation.

Luckily, Ashley was with him when the situation got worse. She is very thankful that the woman really supports her as she works in her office as well.

Later on, she felt Ashley’s successive caresses on her back. ‘‘Are you okay?’’

When she was a bit okay, she easily washed her face before facing the worried woman. ‘‘I am fine. I’m used to it.’’

Ashley grinned big, then typed into her cellphone.

‘‘Wash yourself. I’ll take care of our food first. I will order breakfast, so you don’t need to worry.’’

The woman even guided her to enter the bathroom. The two have gotten used to being together and have gotten along well.

The two really clicked as friends, especially since they are the only two who always see each other.

‘‘I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, Ash.’’

Ashley just raised an eyebrow at her and let Maeluthe in. ‘‘I love babies, but I didn’t expect it to be this difficult. So, I still don’t plan on having a baby. In fact, my older brother might even kill me.’’

The woman had been mentioning her older brother for a long time, but she couldn’t even ask what he was doing and where he might be.

Ashley Hernandez lives alone, so it’s surprising that her older brother doesn’t even visit her. Even if she wanted to ask, she just kept her mouth shut.

When she was finished, Maeluthe folded the towel and looked for a dress. Ashley is no longer in the room, so she is definitely taking care of their breakfast.

Usually, she prepares breakfast for the two of them, but then there are days when she can’t move.

Maeluthe had just finished getting dressed when her cellphone rang, and it was a call from Brylle. There were several times did he told him not to call her and go with Ashley directly.

‘‘What?’’ she sighed. ‘‘I told you, you should call Ashley. . . Not me.’’

‘‘I can’t reach her,’’ he replied directly. ‘‘That’s why I called to ask. Where is she?’’

‘‘What will you say to her? Is it important? I can tell her, by the way. She’s taking care of our breakfast.’’

Wearing a lacy dress, Maeluthe headed to the living area of the house. She prefers these types of clothes because the heat she feels is more frequent. She feels comfortable, especially when she rubs her hand on the cloth then.

‘‘I’m on my way there. I will fetch her.’’

When she dropped the call, she grinned for a moment. That man loves Ashley dearly. They really deserve each other.

‘‘Kai, you can’t stay here this long. I have a roommate, and she’s very sensitive to –Sebastian! Get down there! You stink so badly, and you even went in front of the aircon!’’

Maeluthe walked faster to greet Ashley’s brother. The woman was very kind to her and did not know how to make up for it.

She should just introduce herself to Ashley’s family members. It’s just embarrassing because she couldn’t prepare breakfast for them right now.

‘‘Mae! I’m really sorry, and I didn’t know these fuckers were going.’’

Maeluthe tried to grin even wider even though she was still in pain. ‘‘No worries, Ash.’’

She confronted the alleged brother, only then did she realize that there were a few men in the living room. ‘‘Hello! I am Mae–’’

‘‘Miss Legson?!’’ Kairus couldn’t believe what he was seeing. They did not expect that they would only find her here for a long time when they were looking for the woman.

Mae blinked at his face, wondering where did she was the familiar man.

‘‘Maeluthe? Hey! Maeluthe!’’

She turned to the confused man who approached him from right in front of the aircon. ‘‘Baste?’’

It looked like an angel had passed by the place when Isiaah finally came out of the bathroom next to the kitchen. He could not hear anything inside, so he was so shocked when he saw the woman they had been looking for for a few days right in front of him.

Maeluthe, on the other hand, could feel the strong and slow throbbing of her chest, accompanying a small stab of pain every second.

In that case, Isiaah and Maeluthe could not figure out what to do. They just stared at each other while feeling their bewildered hearts.

Baste and Kairus are already worried for their friend, while Ashley still has many questions on her mind.
