FIRST NIGHT FIRST TIME
“Hey, son,” Freya took Grey’s hand and led him to the far end of the hall where no one could hear them. the hall itself was lousy with noise from guests and the sound of music. She freed his hand as they got to the corner and waited for a drunk female guest to walk past them.
“Mom?” Grey said.
“Lola.” Freya took a deep breath, “is a virgin.”
Grey scoffed. Why would she speak of such? A weak smile followed after the smile. He hadn’t checked if Lola had been touched or not, but such had never been his business.
“Listen, this is not funny, you’ve never touched a virgin,” Freya held his hand, “you’ve only been with Mary and Mary was not a virgin before you met and married her.”
“Why do you speak of such, mom?” he asked. “What’s wrong with her being a virgin?”
“It’s hard to break a virgin, I just want you to understand that you have to go easy on her so you won’t cause her blame,” she tapped his shoulder. “You must go easy on her, but that’s not why I called you here.”
Grey almost freaked out. he was almost about to stroll off, and he could guess what she wanted to say. The same thing was the reason why he had to pick Lola after his marriage with Mary failed.
“You shouldn’t be awake all night in this hall,” she leaned in on him and touched his face. “You and Lola should be in the room, on the bed, at this very moment.”
“You hurry a freaking lot,” Grey snapped.
Grey looked at his mom in contempt and amusement, perhaps she had forgotten we lived in a mordern world.
“Yes, because I don’t want the rumours to hold you ransom,” she said. “The first issue was claimed to have come from Mary, but this time, no one will hesitate to point a finger at you, because they already know Lola is a virgin.”

Grey returned to the family table alongside Freya. All his cousins, male and female were there; all of them, as witnesses to the wedding. The male already prepared a party for the groom after the party in the hall.
Grey sat next to Lola and pressed her hand in his. She looked up to him with a smile but he didn’t smile back. He never made her sign to fake smiles and make everyone believe their relationship was fueled by love.
He only made her sign to be his wife and bear him an heir.
“We must leave this moment,” said Grey.
“Why?” she asked.
“The party is not for us, we should be in the room,” he said.
“Doing what?” she asked.
His expression changed. He looked her in the face. Maybe she had taken more wine than was required for her well-being. She furrowed her brows at the sight of his face.
“Don’t make it obvious, I haven’t done this before,” she whispered in his ear.
“Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you,” he replied.
Grey was the first to rise, and Lola rose next, but the guys around who were up for a party after party stood up to stop Grey.
“Hey, man, where you going?” the first one asked.
“Chill, bro, I’ll be back,” Grey replied and scooped Lola up in his arms. “Come talk to me when you pick a wife, man!”
Everyone around the table laughed, but Freya spiced hers with a clap session. Everyone joined her.
“Morgan, send for the guards, the walkway to his chamber should be guarded,” Freya whispered into Morgan’s ear.
“Why, no one will walk in on them,” Morgan whispered back.
“Never mind,” Freya stood up and made to the guards. She took three and followed Grey and Lola, but she was careful enough to keep a long space between her and them.
She saw Grey lower Lola at the walkway and they kissed for a while before he scooped her into his arms again and took her to his chamber.
Freya followed suit with the guards and mounted them at strategic corners, and stood herself in the main hallway from which anyone could move in and head for Grey’s chamber.
She had seen a lady early who walked into the hall with Mary’s pass. She looked a lot suspicious and could have been sent by Mary’s camp to do something silly.
The lady came by and bent to fix her stilettos.
“Hey, what’s wrong with your stiletto?” Freya asked.
The lady turned in awe and forced a smile.
“Ma’am, nothing,” she waved a hand and shook her head, “I missed a step.”
Freya smiled and walked up to the young lady. The lady didn’t move an inch. She only had her smile and nothing more.
“Go back to Mary, tell her I didn’t let you do what she sent you for,” Freya’s voice was coarse. She wasn’t up for a game as silly as Mary might have signed for.
“How did you know I was sent by her?” the lady asked.
“You signed in with her invitation,” Freya said.
“Yes, I am her personal assistant,” the lady said. “I can represent her anywhere and anytime.”
“Yeah, you can, but you must be careful around my property,” Freya folded her arms.
“Okay, I’ll tell her what you said and how you just treated me,” the lady turned and walked away from her.
“Tell her all you care, you can’t know the game better than I do,” Freya jeered and returned to the hallway.

They started with a kiss, a kiss that forced emotion on their hearts, and a touch that roused every nerve and every organ responsible for consummation. Grey held tight to her waist and dug his dentures into the soft tissue of her neck and she winced in his ears.
His hand gripped the soft robust muscles of her body and pressed with ease while gently laid her on the bed and went in between her thighs.
“Are you ready for this?” he whispered in her ear.
“Go on, Grey, I’ve always wanted this,” she whispered back.
He smiled and gently, he held her hand down to the bed.
“As you wish, Lola,” he tightened his grip on her hand, and gently, he glided in.
