Chapter 40 Chapter 40
Chapter 40 Chapter 40
Amil's POV
My, mother was a Villain? And not just any Villain. She was a Count's daughter. Who, was my father?
"Wait, are you saying, that Amil is half Villain?" Draven asks his uncle.
"Half Villain? My boy, he is a full Villain. Relia most likely changed his status the second he was born. She was the only Villain I knew who had that kind of power. As for the prophecy, well, what you were told, wasn't all true. I'm sure you've met Milena, correct? And Evaine?"
"Are you saying, they were lying?"
"No. Nothing they said were lies. The only parts that were wrong, were about the Hero and Villain. It was never a Hero and a Villain, only two Villains, one of which had the status of a Hero. Which was easily mistaken as you have heard."
Shock rushes through me and I fall to my knees when my legs give out on me. Draven kneels next to me and holds me.
"So, this whole time, I've been a Villain, and I never even knew." I whispered, trying to process the information I was just given, not just about myself, but my mother too.
"I'm sorry, that you had to find out like this, Amil-Daire Itiel Valerius. At least, that was supposed to be your full name, your mother only named you Amil and that was it. Your grandfather is still furious with your mother, but he has always had a soft spot for you, seeing as you're his only grandchild."
I look up at the king of Vallan, who looks way too much like a vampire, than a Villain. "Does, he knows what Silas plans on doing with me?" I ask.
He sits up straight in his throne before leaning forward with his eyes narrowed. "No, and neither do I. My brother-in-law doesn't seem to know either since all he told me was that Silas was planning something dangerous. He didn't mention who it involved though. What does he plan on doing?"
"Silas, wants to kill Amil, and use me as a sort of vessel for Amalu."
"He what!?" King Alaric shoots up to his feet, anger clear on his sharp yet soft features. "Iven! Call Count Reginald and my sister here now! As for you, is there anyone else there with you where you are?"
"Yes, uncle. Draven put up a barrier around where we are staying on the outskirts of Rotan. There are, children here." Xander tells him, moving the circle just enough so that his uncle would be able to see everyone.
"I see. I would ask all of you to come here, but with what Silas is planning, I would rather you all just stay where you are. Safe under Draven's barrier."
"What are you going to do about Silas?" Atreus asked with Ziven close behind him.
"We'll discuss that once your mother and Amil's grandfather get here. Now, how about we speak about my great nephews or nieces?" He smiles at his nephews who blush in embarrassment.
"You, already know about that?" Draven asked after helping me stand back up.
His uncle tilted his head and raised a brow at him. "Have you forgotten who you are talking to? Plus, all three of them have the glow. Well, Atreus and Amil's glow are stronger. Xander, what is your fated's name?"
"Arvan, his heat just ended today." Xander answered him as Arvan clung to his side. They really do look good together. I'm happy they're fated.
"Arvan, a leopard shifter, interesting pairing. And yours, Atreus?"
"Ziven, uncle." Atreus tells him.
"A panther shifter, again, an interesting pairing. But both are expected, at least, from what I have read about the real prophecy."
"The real prophecy?" I ask, confused by what he means.
"Well, yes. The prophecy you were told about, is not only a fake one, but also the shortened version of the real one. You see, the gods created the prophecy. Only the royals know this, because we were the ones trusted enough to keep it a secret until the two main people that are part of it, are born. Meaning you, and my nephew, Draven."
I think about what he's saying. If, the prophecy we were told about, was a fake and shortened version of the real prophecy. Then was I even supposed to be with Draven like Milena and Evaine said we were?
Is, our relationship built up on lies, even though what we feel for each other, is real? Why did my mother despise being a Villain? Why did she make my grandmother raise me? Who is my father?
Where are my parents? I haven't seen them since I was four. I don't remember anything about them. What they look like. How they sound. I don't remember anything.
"The real prophecy, speak of six men. Two Villains being fated. One who would be born to a Villain mother, and a Hero father. The other would be born to Villain nobles related to the reigning king of Villains. Those two are the main players on the chess board. The second two, a Villain and a leopard shifter are the next fated. The last two, being a Villain and a panther shifter fated pair."
"One child would be born to each pair. Powers that were once hidden, will come to light to each pair after their child is born. The power of life, to Villain who was changed to a Hero. The power of destruction, to the Villain that looks like a Hero. The only two who rely on each other to keep your powers from going berserk."
"Uncle, I'm confused about one thing. Amil's powers, he said they've become weak, because he's pregnant. Do you have any idea why?" Draven asked.
"I don't. The prophecy never mentions anything about it. Though only the royals have been trusted with the real prophecy. I talked to Count Reginald about it, and he's done a lot of research throughout the years. So he might know something about it, but until he gets here, we're all in the dark."
Suddenly, I feel dizzy and light headed. "Draven, I, don't feel too good." My heart starts pounding in my chest, my body starts to feel like it's on fire and my breathing becomes rapid, like I just ran a marathon or something.
Draven catches me before I fall to the floor and carries me to one of the chairs as he sits down with me in his lap. "Shit, you're boiling. What the hell is going on?"
"Where is my grandson!?" I hear an old man's voice come from the other side of the call circle and look at it.
A tall man who couldn't be older than fifty, walks into the visual space next to the king and he looks at me. His ash grey eyes widening when he sees me. "Amil! My boy, what's wrong with you?"
I shake my head, I think. I can't form words, let alone move even slightly. My vision is becoming blurry and I can hear someone moving, but it's getting hard to hear. Everything is muffled. I feel like I'm drowning. Not in water, but in fire.
