GUAN'S POV.

I watched as he ordered for s drink.. A whiskey to be precise. I observed as he sunk himself in the moment. Should I approach him?

What If he snaps? no no. Why would he, what exactly did I even do wrong to him not to get any compliment for my acting, where did I go wrong.

I wore a vest if courage and approached him. I grabbed a stool and sat beside him and seized hi cup.

"Hey ... what gives---", he stopped realizing it was me and faced the bartender and said. "Get me another one."

"He won't be needing another one, don't mind him.", I said and faced him. "What the matter with you."

"With me?"

"Yes! what your problem??? you didn't even compliment for my acting skills, instead you just overlooked it like it was nothing , what the hell??? "

" So my compliment matters to you ... "

" Of course it does matters me. Everything matters to me, well except being your mate, that were I am not going to say it matters to me. "

"Why? "

" Because you aren't mate. ", I fired back.

"Then who is? Xavier?"

" You must be crazy to say that."

" I am not crazy , I am just saying the facts. If you don't accept me as your mate then Maybe you will accept Xavier as your mate then. "

" Is all this about me being your mate? is that why you didn't complement me so I don't feel special in any way? If that's the case then you won. I don't really feel special, I have never really felt special either way. I have always considered myself as everyone's second options. "

" What the hell are you saying now? "

I smiled at him. " If you are so worried that Xavier is my mate, then how about you tell me this, why are you worried? isn't everything between us just. a contract? so why we you bothered? "

I saw the tension building up in his eyes. He looked at me and back at the counter and heaved a sigh. " You can't understand."

"Then make me understand. Or at least try to make me understand why you are so worried..."

" Because loosing you will mean a lot to me, for instance, it will mean I failed in keeping you "

" Keeping me, I am not yours to keep "

"But I feel you are mine to keep, Everytime I see you... I am reminded of how much I despise getting close to women because of how one of them have tried to ruin me before in the past. "

What wrong with him? why is he being so sentimental right now. I'm sure it because of the drink he had recently. That why he's being like this.

",So ... I can't imagine loosing you to Xavier who happens to be my rival "

" But what brought about this topic? it's way behind us... agreed, Xavier attacked earlier because of me but nothing happened now, everything happening after that is just us Acting... so why the hell are you going back to all this. "

Zack looked away.

" Zack... I'm talking to you. "

" Why don't you just go back to your room Guan, tomorrow is another day for the shooting. Get some rest and leave me to sober all night long. It doesn't really matter to anyone , not even you "

Is he drunk?

No... I don't think so.

"Who said I don't care about you, you are literally my boss... "

"Husband. "

" Boss ... please, let's not go about to that, let just try and keep this strictly professional. "

" Okay... fine, I'm your boss ... not your husband. Now listen to me, and get some rest. Tomorrow's another day. I will see you in the morning. "

I sighed and got up and took one last look at him. "Zack... ", I said and he looked at me. " Please take care of yourself. "

" Sure sure... I will. " , I left without saying another word.

I got back to my room feeling miserable. I then recalled what we said.

So he was once in a relationship... that why he's acting like this, he once had a mate? or maybe just some random beta or Luna who nearly ruined his life for him.

Which is why he despise women so much, but me , he doesn't... because I'm somewhat different from the others... why? because I'm an Omega? I don't really have any use in the community of werewolves. Omegas like me should be locked away but well.

Here I am, giving it all guy it give myself a good standard of living without the help of my unruly father.

And as for him thinking we might be mated to one another aside the fact we are in the middle of a contract... it could be we are actually mated together, perhaps the moon goddess made the contract as an excuse to bring us close.

What can't the moon goddess do. Even if I must accept...
