Chapter 62

"What do you mean?" Lisa asked, walking behind him as he walked closer to the book.

"I've seen this somewhere but as a pendant." He made it known and nodded since it became completely clear. "Yeah. That's exactly it."

"Where did you see it?" Selena asked.

"Who was wearing it?" Greya equally asked.

He looked at Lisa. "This girl named Stephanie, Amelia's friend was wearing it. According to what I heard, it belonged to Amelia."

"That exact thing?" Lisa questioned with doubt laced in the tone of her voice.

He nodded. "Yeah. They were even talking about Amelia, that her powers, and her friend's power who's actually a wolf was locked by someone powerful. Macy couldn't unlock it."

Lisa gulped and looked away in deep thought. She couldn't tell anything special about Amelia, she looked completely normal. Human.

"Okay, let's go back to the main topic, Jacob. Who exactly is with the pendant?" Greya questioned.

Jacob looked at her. "Stephanie. It's always around her neck."

Lisa nodded. "Then let's go after them."

"You know you can't, Lisa. Those ignorant vampires I rule can't know I work with Logan."

"Then how are we gonna go there then? We need that pendant." Selena asserted.

Jacob sighed and nodded. He took his phone and dialed the cell he gave to Julian. "I'll just talk to my brother to first know what's happening."

They nodded and the phone rang, soon it picked up. "Jacob, you couldn't have called sooner?" Julian immediately lashed out.

"Sorry, I had to be careful, you should understand that."

Julian sighed. "Ok, well, how come this phone you gave to me, there weren't any important numbers? I expected to be able to reach Richard with it."

Jacob rolled his eyes away. "Oh, is that so? I think I forgot, my bad. Anyways, I called to see how the girls are doing."

There was a short silence that made Jacob suspicious. "Um, they left to find Richard, why?"

"Why did you let them leave?" Jacob questioned.

"Why? You wanted me to chain them down? They can leave if they want to." Julian retorted.

Jacob sighed. "Okay, uh, what path did they take?"

"Honestly, it's none of your business. This call is getting up to a minute." Julian warned.

Jacob gritted his teeth in anger and hung the call.

"So?" Lisa drawled out.

Jacob looked at her. "They're not there anymore. They're looking for their friends."

Lisa rose a brow. "Is that so? Macy finally found a reason to leave there." She scoffed and shook her head. "I'm sure she must know their friends are no longer here and she knows where they are."

"We could track her," Greya suggested. "I hope you got something of hers."

Lisa smiled. "Of course I do. I'll track her, then get that pendant or better yet, the key to unlock the spell."

They all nodded with smiles on their faces.

Spencer and Kelly walked inside the office opened from them, their eyes couldn't help but gawk around the whole place. The view and everything were superb.

"Wow." The words escaped from Spencer.

"I was told you guys have been bothering to see me."

They both looked at Liam and walked past the couches toward him.

"Yeah. We've got questions to ask you." Spencer told him.

Liam furrowed his brows. "Questions? About what?"

"Your brother, Finn. Also, Julian, Xander, Bethany, Stephanie, and Amelia. I don't know if you know them but they just left like they disappeared into thin air." She explained further.

Liam gaped. "Oh. Um, is that so?" Liam lowered his gaze, thinking of a way to get out of it. Damn it.

"We need answers." Kelly probed.

Liam looked at them. "I...um, I don't know what Finn does all the time. He said he wanted to take a break with Amelia and he left. I'm in the dark just like you guys."

"Have you tried calling him?" Spencer asked.

Liam frowned, realizing he never did that. He scratched the side of his head deciding to do it later. He'll call Meredith, she's the one he trusts enough to tell him what's going on there. "I tried but his cell isn't going. Although I know who to try, luckily she'll tell me what's going on."

"Who's that?" Spencer asked.

"My sis."

Kelly rose a brow. "Oh. Finn has a sister too. Wow." She remarked in surprise to it.

"Can I get her number?" Spencer asked politely.

Liam shook his head. "Unfortunately, no. She doesn't answer unknown numbers but when I get her, I'll let you guys know. Just drop your numbers with my secretary."

Spencer nodded. "Okay. I expect to hear from you soon or I'll be back to disturb you again."

Liam nodded, looking at her in amusement. "I get it."

They both nodded and left the office.

Liam furrowed his brow, beginning to wonder what is truly happening there. No call from Julian or Richard. No information on whether Luc and Amelia are safe.

He took his phone and dialed Meredith's number. It kept ringing and cutting off. She was cutting the call.

"Okay, we don't need that sound right now." Luc cautioned Meredith with a serious expression.

Meredith nodded out of fear and switched the phone off. "I'm sorry."

"GROOOOWL!" They all heard causing Amelia to flinch and grabbed Luc tightly.

Katherine's heart was beating fast, but luckily Xander was in front of her.

Meredith was scared since she was alone on a horse, looking around like something was about to pounce on them in no time.

"What are we gonna do now? Those sons of bitches know we are here." Xander said the obvious.

Luc looked toward where the growl was coming from. "There are two. We cut off their heads then." He answered Xander.

(I hope you guys remember Kelly. She was Amelia's bully in college. I think I made a mistake in some parts I changed her name but I'm writing this to rectify the mistake.)
