Chapter 56
Spencer sighed, staring into the bright afternoon, sitting outside her school at their relaxation spot. She was sad and worried, having a lot of thoughts in her mind, and feeling like she was living in complete darkness.
She felt all alone like she was drowning, seeking answers to reasons that were hard to find no matter where she searched.
First, it was Bethany who suddenly went AWOL. Then she mysteriously got back, only for Amelia to equally go missing and now both of them are nowhere to be found.
Not just them, even Finn, Xander, Richard, Julian, and Stephanie. They all left like they disappeared into thin air or gone to another different world.
She kept trying to call but no one was answering. She felt abandoned.
Suddenly, her sight was obstructed by someone taking a seat in front of her and blocking the light. It made her look away, closing her eyes shut instinctively since it got her to realize her gaze has been on the sun.
She opened her eyes but things weren't bright but dark. It made her blink repeatedly to try to get back the normal color but then she frown at the familiar person in front of her. "What do you want, Jessi?"
Jessie smiled. "As usual, I came to see how you're doing and I've been doing a lot of thinking..."
Spencer scoffed. "It's none of your business."
Jessi shrugged. "Somehow it is. Amelia and Bethany can't just disappear like that. They left school and everything else. Even Finn left his company for his brother, Liam. Do you know he has a brother?"
Spencer blinked, getting interested. "No. Didn't know."
Jessi nodded. "It turns out no one really knows much about Finnick Stark, hell, I can't even understand how I met him. Liam could have some answers."
Spencer nodded in agreement her gaze lowered as she thought about it. Truly, Liam could help them know where Finn took Amelia or understand why everyone all left. She blinked and looked at Jessi with furrowed brows. "Why do you even care? It's not like you give a damn about Amelia or Bethany."
Jessi nodded. "At first I didn't but I've got curiosity, especially with Amelia. I'll help you find them. I know you need a friend or rather assistance."
Spencer sighed and decided to nod to it.

It started again. Weird dreams that aren't clear at first but soon become clear, especially at the wrong time.
It was all kinda dark but she knew she was in a room of a building that seem weak and old. A woman was hanging at the ceiling with a cloak on making seething noises like she was a beast or monster of some sort.
She dropped down to the asphalt floor and turned with her head facing the ground. "You'll find me. You'll find me." She repeated in a husky voice that send shivers down her spine.
All of a sudden, it sprinted toward her with a loud shriek. "YOU'LL FIND ME!!"
It made Amelia jump up from the bed out of fear cause it was terrifying. She still felt the terror just thinking about it. She wondered what it means but she knew it had to be bad. She knew the woman had to be a witch. A wicked witch. Bad news.
They've already departed from the borders of Weredom in disguise so as not to get caught.
Amelia only put a black long wig on, Katherine didn't have to hide herself since she was known and can't really be questioned, Richard and Xander wore a hoodie while Luc just kept a face cap on.
All he did was follow them but deep down, one could tell how unhappy he was.
They soon got to the spot and saw Meredith attending to a horse. She was a beautiful young lady, with black wavy hair that stopped on her shoulder, blue eyes, putting on trousers with an armored shirt on, looking ready for a fight or any battle.
"Hi." She greeted with an awkward chuckle, her gaze laced in astonishment mainly fixated on Luc. "It's Meredith."
Luc nodded. "Yeah. I know."
Meredith equally nodded. "Of course. Why wouldn't you? I just heard..."
"Four horses." Xander interrupted. "How were you able to sneak them out?"
Richard nodded. "Yeah. Won't they realize they are short of four horses in their stables?"
Meredith shrugged. "They don't know or care about what I do. They don't have any ill thoughts about whatever I do. I could take ten horses and they won't question me."
Amelia chuckled. "Wow. They must trust you that much."
"Or rather, don't take me as a priority or rather, a traitor." She told her.
Amelia just nodded.
"So, four horses...the boys will definitely have control over three..." Katherine looked at Amelia. "I don't think you can ride one and I'm sure Luc won't mind giving you a ride.."
Luc glared at Katherine which Richard noticed. "I won't mind carrying her since I'm sure you'll want to be on your own," Richard told him.
Luc looked away, then he looked at Amelia who was standing beside him. "It's fine."
Amelia brightened up and gave him a smile. "Thanks."
Luc blinked and looked away, sighing since he was getting a drawn, unexplainable feeling whenever he stared too much at Amelia. Just the smile alone lifted his mood.
"Later, you guys are gonna have to brief me on why we're going after those Xondras," Luc told them.
"Oh, now you care?" Richard asked, walking toward a horse.
"Just thinking, so yes now I do."
Xander equally walked toward a horse. "So tell us, what should we be conscious about? I'm pretty sure you've met them before."
Luc nodded. "As a matter of fact, yes. They're not far from those creatures trapped in the forbidden forest. They're just lucky to have the form of a human being. Selfish creatures with the ability to deceive."
"What should we be conscious about?" Richard asked in curiosity.
"Well, you should know their policy tends to err on the side of 'shoot now, ask later'. They've got something that could..."
"Paralyze someone." Xander completed.
Luc nodded. "Yeah. That's their weapon. They catch you with it, have a tendency to interrogate people, get weaknesses, then they kill you."
"Do their weapons work on you?" Amelia asked.
Luc looked at her. "I don't think they ever had the chance to get my weakness. No one should."
"Then we have to be extremely careful." Katherine prompted.
