Chapter forty-nine
"Isn't that Luc Stark?" A young male voice who stood behind the counter of the tavern uttered as he stared at him. Almost everyone stared at him cause he was familiar. They've heard of him, know of him.
A well-bodied man from the tavern stood up and walked toward where Luc sat, minding his business. He dragged a chair and sat down. "You're Luc Stark, aren't you?"
Luc looked at him with a rigid expression then he looked away, back at the cup of beer he ordered.
The man smacked Luc's shoulder in annoyance. "I'm talking to you."
Luc breathe in and looked at him. "A puny werewolf. You want to die?"
The man abruptly stood up looking all high and mighty. "Who's scared of you? I'm gonna send you back to where you came from 'cause you no longer belong here."
They all nodded and exclaimed in agreement.
Luc looked around noticing not one of an ally was in the tavern. He noticed things and discovered there were ranks. People who work their asses off and people who just live to enjoy themselves like the ones in the tavern.
He nodded, concluding that they were the ones who sold their souls to his family. The ones who earn from Logan's rule.
His lips curved into a smirk and his eyes were completely dark. 'It won't hurt to teach them a lesson and send a message.'
Then he stood up, meeting the man's height. "Since you wanna die..." He plunged his claws into the man's chest causing a yelp as it was unaware to him.
The man's eyes were red as he stared deathly at Luc. "You're all kids. You have no idea what I can do." Then he brought his hand out together with the man's bloody heart.
The man went limp and dropped to the ground.
Everyone gasped in shock and immediately their eyes all went gold, ready to pounce on Luc.
As they flew at him one by one, Luc caught one and flew him against a wall so fast, that he got to another and used his sharp claws to cut his head off.
They were all looking around in fear as they all fell dead one by one. Luc was so fast for them to even see and attack.
One of them out of fear scurried away and the last person Luc faced lost his heart.
He gave his head and exercise, feeling adrenaline running through him. It felt as if his powers were dormant for so long that they were excited to come out.
He looked at the tavern owner who just hid in fear together with the boy beside him, they were both breathing heavily in fear.
Then he looked at his bloody self and chuckled sadistically. "Get me a room and new clothes." He ordered.
They immediately nodded and did as told.
The news immediately got to Logan cause there was a loud pounding on the gate of the palace.
The gate opened and they glared at him. "Who the hell are you?"
"I'm a Mallory. I need to speak with King Logan." The man said, panting.
"He's busy."
"It's urgent. It's about Luc Stark. We saw him. I saw him." The man told him.
The gateman nodded and decided to let him in knowing that will be a piece of important information for their alpha.
Jones walked up to the gateman. "Who's he and why are you letting him in?"
"He said he's a Mallory and came to report about Luc."
Jones gaped. "Oh. Tell me about it, I'll convey it to the king."
The guy swallowed hard and nodded. "We saw him in the tavern and wanted to fight him off but he killed everyone mercilessly. Took their hearts, cut off their heads with one swipe of his claw and he was so swift, you can't even see him. I had to run for my life so I can give the information. Why is Luc Stark back in Weredom?"
Jones sighed, taking the news in. "Just don't try to cross him again, for your own good. I'll inform the king so go home and do whatever." Then he walked out.
The man was immediately led out of the palace.
Jones gave the information to Logan and it bothered him. It kinda felt like they'd touched the tail of the lion. Even if Luc knows he can't touch the throne it doesn't mean he can't cause havoc in his kingdom.
Something has to be done about it.
Soon Jones went to meet him again with an urgent countenance that was screaming bad news. It made Logan sigh.
"What is it again?" Logan asked him.
Jones gave him a small bow first before looking at him. "It's Luc allies. They haven't been caught yet and we've got no news from the warriors we sent after them."
"They were the strongest, right?" Logan questioned.
Jones nodded. "Yeah. Among the strongest."
"You think they failed in getting them?" Logan asked.
"There's a big possibility. I need permission to send more after them."
Logan sighed, really wanting them gone. Luc will recognize them and they will explain things much better to him. And if Luc is taken to Macy, she could find ways to bring him back to himself.
He shook his head not wanting that. "Send a lot of our able warriors. I need them all dead."
Jones gulped and nodded having an unreadable expression. "I'll do just that, alpha." Then he walked away.

Macy used her magic to scan Stephanie for the second time, getting an unexplainable wave.
All Steph could do was lie on the counter finding it all odd. The bright light protruding out of Macy's hands. It still felt like she was dreaming.
"Aren't you getting anything?" Steph asked.
Macy looked at her. "I feel strong magic in you, Steph. It's like a blockage."
Stephanie sat up. "A blockage? Like something obstructing my abilities from coming out?"
Macy nodded. "Although you're getting parts of it, like healing. Connecting with Amelia needs an explanation cause you're definitely a werewolf."
"What if the main question to ask is what or who is Amelia?" Julian chimed in, walking toward them. "It's obvious she's not human so what if their connection has to do with who Amelia is and why they were dropped in the mortal world for protection?"
Stephanie looked at both of them. "Why can't our adopted parents answer that question?"
"They answered all they could. The person who gave you guys to them was cloaked." Julian told her.
"I think I'm gonna find the type of blockage magic that was used on you." Macy made it known, walking toward where she kept her grimoire.
"What if it's dark magic?" Julian asked her.
Macy took her grimoire and looked at him. "It isn't. What I felt is magic lighter than even good magic itself."
"The bestiary could also be of help, sadly they took it," Julian stated.
Macy's gaze dropped to Amelia's necklace and the familiarity of the pentagram pendant.
She looked at her grimoire knowing it's gonna be her one and only help.
