Chapter 76 When he thought of her being intimate with someone else, he wanted to kill

Voices could be heard in the hallway.

Interrupting the two who were angry at each other.

Lara stood up, gave him a cold look, and walked out of the dining room.

Timothy followed, wanting to clarify things.

She didn't go far.

The bodyguard stood at the door, restricting her from going anywhere.

In the living room, Lennon walked in with a wedding dress designer following behind.

Lara's already bad mood became worse when she saw the designer.

Unable to even make a decision about a wedding dress, constantly making changes was annoying!

Seeing her impatience, the designer immediately smiled in a friendly manner.

Extending an olive branch.

Lara sighed with a headache and looked at Lennon, "Wasn't the wedding dress already done? Why are they here again?"

Lennon nodded slightly, "Madam, it's like this... Mr. Avila says that the details of the wedding gown still need some adjustments,"

Lara scoffed. "He sure has a lot of free time. If you didn't know better, you'd think he was the one wearing the dress."

"..."

Lennon looked embarrassed.

Lara glanced at the wedding gown on the rack behind her and slowly walked over.

The intricate handmade gown was adorned with expensive diamonds and cleverly designed. It was evident that a lot of thought had been put into it.

Lara raised her hand and gently stroked the layered petals on the corset, saying lightly, "Tell Mr. Avila that I am the one wearing the dress. I don't want any more adjustments. If he wants changes, he can wear it himself!"

After saying that, she averted her gaze, her expression cold, and walked past the designer, heading upstairs.

Timothy raised an intrigued eyebrow. "Why is she in such a bad mood so early in the morning?"

Lennon helplessly looked over. "Timothy, what do you think?"

Timothy shrugged. "She's the bride, so she has the final say. Mr. Avila won't mind such trivial matters. But if you're worried, I can give Mr. Avila a call and let him know."

"Well, thank you then."

Lennon breathed a sigh of relief and turned back to say a few words to the designer before leaving with Lara.

Timothy walked over to the couch and sat down. He raised his hand to pinch his brow, feeling overwhelmed with his own matters. It was no wonder he was caught in between and couldn't please both sides.

He made a long-distance call.

Avila answered quickly. "What's the matter?"

"I'm at the Morris family home."

"..."

Avila lifted his wrist to check the time. "Has she had breakfast?"

Timothy sneered, not giving any face. "Does that really matter?"

Avila's expression turned cold. "What do you want?"

"She called me over early in the morning. Do you know why?"

Avila furrowed his brow.

Timothy smirked, showing great interest. "She wanted to kiss me."

His pupils contracted rapidly, and a sinister and murderous intent swiftly appeared in Avila's icy eyes. His throat felt like it was on fire. "You kissed her!"

Even over the phone, Timothy could imagine the man's expression. His hairs stood on end, but he still curiously asked with a brave front, "What if I did kiss her?"

"Timothy!"

A furious roar was the man's response. "Say that again!"

Timothy shrunk his neck and said, "Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore. I knew it was impossible, and I wouldn't dare. I firmly refused her at that time."

Avila's cold and handsome face still exuded a chill, showing no signs of softening despite the explanation.

Just the thought of her trying to be intimate with another man made him uncontrollably... want to kill.

Even if it was his best friend.

Timothy was oblivious to his thoughts and continued, "The wedding...tomorrow is the wedding, and if you don't take the plane today, there won't be enough time. Is she acting so strangely because of this? Women, they always say one thing and mean another."

It felt like someone had taken a hold of his throat and was choking him until he couldn't breathe. With the other person's words, his breathing gradually eased. The man's voice was husky and low, "I've bought the plane tickets. We can arrive in Emberton City tomorrow afternoon, we won't miss it."

"That's good."

Avila clenched his pale knuckles, "Where is she?"

"Just now, Lennon brought the designer to make alterations on the wedding dress. She seemed upset and scolded Lennon before going upstairs."

"Why is she upset?"

"She doesn't want to alter the wedding dress. Since she's the one wearing it, we should leave trivial matters to her..."

Avila interrupted coldly, "Since when did you become her spokesperson?"

"..."

A chill ran down Timothy's back.

After a few seconds, he regained his usual carefree demeanor and smirked, "What are you jealous of? Aren't you afraid of being laughed at?"

"..."

Avila hung up the phone.

Hospital room.

The doctor was performing a preoperative examination on Bella. After receiving a blood transfusion, all the parameters were stabilizing.

Bella's expression remained indifferent as she glanced at the man who had been cold and emotionless from the moment he entered, not saying a word, just quietly listening to the doctor's instructions.

If this injury didn't have any effect, it meant she took a step forward with a wasted move. At this point, she wouldn't give herself any retreat.

The surgery began one hour later.

Considering her unique profession, the difficulty of the surgery also increased significantly, but it couldn't be considered a major operation. It would be done in an hour and a half.

Bella curled her lips into a faint bitter smile, "Will you leave the United States once I enter the operating room?"

Avila stood by the bedside, his voice calm again, "No, I'll leave once I'm sure the surgery is successful."

There was still enough time.

"What if the surgery fails?"

"It won't."

"Why won't it?"

"Bella." He furrowed his brows, "This is just a minor surgery, the chance of failure is extremely slim."

Bella lowered her gaze, her voice bitter, "So does that mean I should wish you a happy marriage?"

Avila gazed at her pale face, his tone indifferent, "The surgery is about to start, stop overthinking."

And with that, he turned around and walked out.

"Avila!"

Bella called out to him, her breathing becoming rapid, "When my hand recovers and I return to Emberton City, will you still care about me like you do now?"

His tall and handsome figure froze, his back facing her, "Financially, I will try my best to satisfy you."

Tears welled up in her eyes, Bella couldn't hide her disappointment, and then she revealed a faint glimmer of hope, "And what if I said I'm willing to follow you without caring about anything, until you have avenged and ended your marriage with Lara?"

Hearing her words, Avila continued to walk outside without looking back, and he didn't say anything to her. "I won't divorce." The door closed, completely cutting off that cold and indifferent figure.

Bella wiped away the tears from her eyelashes and remained calm. So, he won't divorce, huh... Ha. She laughed. Let's see about that! Reaching under the pillow, she retrieved a fruit knife, its sharp blade gleaming coldly.

Bella's lips curled up as she stared at the glint of the knife, with boundless envy and resentment in her eyes.

The knife was sharp, and the pain only lasted for an instant as she cut her wrist. Bella silently lay on the hospital bed, a smile playing on her lips, eerie and chilling.

Indeed, she had nothing left except for this broken body. But fortunately, she was accustomed to using herself.

As long as she didn't die, she could continue to exploit herself for a lifetime. Just the thought of Lara drawing her blood and resentfully, reluctantly infusing it into herself... Bella didn't feel any pain at all. In fact, watching the crimson blood flow from her veins brought her a strange sense of pleasure.
