Chapter 10
I pulled her closer to me, drawing her into my embrace. Our faces inches apart, we locked eyes, a moment of surprise passing between us. With a seductive smile, I leaned in, bringing my lips tantalizingly close to hers. But as I observed the redness of her lips and caught a whiff of her breath, I couldn't help but feel a magnetic attraction towards her.
"Why don't you agree to be my Luna, Clara? Then we can freely indulge in kisses," he proposed, a playful smile on his face.
His words made my heart skip a beat, and I couldn't help but feel a tinge of embarrassment. I had to win this man over. I needed to strengthen my feelings and tame him.
"Are you suggesting that I'm the one yearning for your kisses? Well, Alpha, I'm simply granting your wish. I know you crave my lips," I retorted, a mischievous smile playing on my lips.
"I've never desired every inch of your body, Clara," he insisted.
His words annoyed me, and I turned my face away from him, walking away and asking him to leave the room. But deep down, I couldn't shake off the thought of his words. How could he deny his desire for my lips when it was so evident that he wanted to kiss me too?
As we left the room, we encountered Martha and the other female wolves in the corridor. They greeted us warmly, and we reciprocated with smiles.
"Would you like to accompany me to the tower?" he asked, a smile still lingering on his face.
"Alright. I don't have anything else to do," I replied.
We strolled along the path towards the Tower, reaching its peak and gazing down. The tower stood tall, offering a breathtaking view of the vast forest in the distance. Both of us looked up, and I could hear him taking deep breaths.
"This tower is incredibly high," I remarked, marveling at the height.
He responded with a smile, "The higher I look at you, Clara."
"Haha, I didn't know you had a cheesy side, Alpha Henrick," I chuckled.
Once again, butterflies fluttered in my stomach. I tried to suppress them, not wanting to succumb to this feeling. I needed to resist this foolish emotion.
"I can't wait for the day when I can proudly call you my Luna," he said, gazing into the distance with a smile.
"What if you can't wait for me?" I questioned.
"I will wait for as long as I live, Clara," he replied, his smile unwavering.
His words were undeniably sweet to hear. However, every time I remembered his role in my parents' demise, anger and the thirst for revenge consumed me. I swiftly changed the topic of conversation between us.
"The air here is so fresh, it's invigorating," I remarked with a smile.
"Yes, that's why I love this place," he responded, a smile gracing his face.
"But perhaps we should take a stroll through the jungle," I suggested.
"Apologies, I was just joking," he replied with a smile.
"Your joke was quite amusing, Alpha. Not bad," I complimented with a smile.
He smiled sweetly at me, and those smiles had the power to awaken dormant feelings. Any woman would easily melt under his charming smile, except for me.
As we ventured out , we made our way towards the forest. This place was serene yet appeared treacherous to an ordinary person, as it was home to various creatures.
During our walk through the forest, we stumbled upon a breathtaking waterfall nestled near the mountains. The sound of flowing water filled the air, and the scenery was illuminated. We sat on a massive tree, observing the water cascading down the stream.
"I feel like I've seen this place before. It might just be the most beautiful part of this expansive forest," I remarked with a smile.
"But you still outshine it in my eyes," he replied, his smile never fading.
"This demon certainly knows how to flatter with those sweet words. But no matter what you say, your words won't sway me," I whispered to myself.
As we made our way back, the atmosphere grew tense. The sound of footsteps and rustling filled the air, causing us to tighten our grip on each other's hands. Alpha's voice broke the silence, "Vampires!" he exclaimed with determination.
Suddenly, eight vampires materialized out of thin air, encircling us. I knew deep down that they were connected to the two women I had defeated in our previous encounter. Without wasting a moment, they lunged at us, ready to attack.
Thankfully, Alpha Henrick was swift and incredibly powerful. With a swift motion, he transformed and let out a thunderous roar, startling the vampires surrounding us. Summoning all my courage, I launched myself at the vampire woman, determined to overpower her. Though she put up a fierce fight, I remained confident that I could emerge victorious. With a forceful strike, I clawed at her back, causing her to wince in pain and embarrassment.
Amidst the chaos, I caught a glimpse of Alpha Henrick effortlessly decapitating five vampires. Together, we managed to eliminate six of them, leaving only two to flee in terror at the sight of their headless comrade.
Luckily, the injury I sustained turned out to be nothing more than a minor scratch. However, my eyes widened in surprise when Alpha Henrick approached me, completely naked.
"Are you alright, Clara?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.
"I...I'm fine," I stuttered, taken aback by the unexpected sight.
"This forest is no longer safe for us. There are enemies lurking around, not just vampires but also Rogues. We must always be prepared, as we never know when we might encounter them. Promise me you won't come here alone, Clara," he reminded me.
I simply nodded in response, feeling his gaze on me. He noticed my discomfort and transformed into a wolf once again. I climbed onto his back and we made our way back to the Wound woods.
Upon reaching the castle's entrance, the guards respectfully opened the doors for us and bowed in reverence to Alpha Clara.
As we entered, I dismounted and he transformed back into his human form. The women inside couldn't help but be captivated by his naked body, their jaws dropping in awe. Irritated, I bid him farewell. I couldn't deny that his physique was undeniably attractive, but it held no allure for me.
As I uttered those words, "I'm going to rest, Alpha. Thank you very much," I handed him the Scarf that lay atop my attire, allowing him to conceal his bare physique. The astonishment on his face was evident, and a smile crept across his lips. I couldn't quite fathom why I had done it, but I simply couldn't bear the thought of another woman feasting her eyes upon his exquisite, muscular form.
"These women are shamelessly flirting!" I muttered to myself, my brows furrowing in disdain, before bidding him farewell and making my way to my sanctuary.
Upon entering my room, I sank into the comfort of my bed. The weariness that enveloped me was so profound that I failed to realize I had drifted off into slumber. Imagine my surprise when I awoke to find Alpha Henrick's beaming countenance hovering above me, poised to steal a kiss...
