Chapter 9 A hidden fact
When Kael got back to his study, he was even more confused than ever.
Whoever it was that spoke to him was certainly not a werewolf and if they were, they had strong powers backing them.
He couldn't even identify if it was a male or female and all through their conversation, he couldn't perceive their smell either.
It was almost like they were there and not there at the same time.
He was well aware of the rouges that were trying to attack him but he knew they couldn't possibly possess such a huge amount of power.
Confused, he remained on his desk for a very long time until he heard a knock that pulled back his attention.
“Come”.
He said and the door opened up gently as Dona walked in, surprising him.
“Forgive me for coming here without permission”.
She said but he remained silent and just kept looking at her, wondering what she was up to.
“Actually, I need to talk to you about Hazel, but she can't find out… not yet”.
While Dona was sneaking behind Hazel's back without her knowledge, Hazel was trying hard to figure out what happened.
She had tried several times to use each clue to get a clear vision but it just felt like she was doing something completely wrong.
She was bleeding from her eyes, nose and ears. As she had exerted way too much energy trying to figure out what exactly happened but she still wasn't getting clear results.
After a while, she flung the pendant on the floor in frustration.
“Ugh! I'm so tired"!
She said and wiped off the blood from her nose as she leaned towards the bed, still looking at the three clues on the floor.
Something suddenly popped up in her head and she pulled all three clues close as she placed her hands on all of them at the same time.
It didn't take a second for her to immediately get lost in her vision, completely isolating herself from the reality.
In the vision
Hazel was standing by the side as she saw Kael's parents rush in.
“Where is she, where is she”?
Hazel squeezed her eyes a bit, trying to figure out who Kael's mom was talking about.
Just when the woman was about to speak again, someone fell from the roof and landed so elegantly on the floor.
Before the person stood up, Hazel could see the pendant on the persons neck and knew this was the major culprit.
Slowly yet gracefully, the person gradually began to stand and soon, their face could be seen clearly.
Hazel's eyes opened wide in shock.
'how is this possible'?
She thought to herself. She tried to move, but she could bring herself to take a single step.
She saw Kael's mom move back in fright, holding her husband in fear.
“You… you're not Hazel".
She said and Hazel quickly turned her head to Kael's mom.
'what? They came here because of me'?
She thought again and looked at the lady who looked exactly like her with a sinister smile on her face walk towards them.
“You should have confirmed properly before coming here”.
She said.
'how is this possible'?
Hazel thought to herself. The lady who was walking towards Kael's parents looked exactly like her. The only difference was that they had totally different eye color. The lady's eyes was glowing green but Hazel has a light blue eyes, almost too clear.
“You seem to really love Hazel".
She said as soon as she got close enough to Kael's parents.
“Well too bad, I don't".
She said and slapped Kael's dad so hard, it sent him flying till he hit a wall.
But he didn't stay down.
Kael's dad was a very strong alpha, known for his strength and agility so just that would not keep him down.
But just like Kael, his dad's weakness was love.
As soon as the lady noticed that Kael's dad had stood up, she immediately went behind Kael's mom and held her tight, placing a dagger by her neck.
This immediately caused Kael's dad to calm down.
“Stop this, what do you want”?
He asked, stretching his hand out with a plea-full voice.
The lady sniffed in Kael's mom hair and exhaled like she enjoyed what she had just perceived.
“Her hair smells exactly like Kael's, but Kael won't let me smell his this closely”.
She said and looked at another guy.
The guy threw a dagger to Kael's dad.
“Pick it up”.
She said but he didn't.
“How nice would it be if you die by the hands of someone who looks like your beloved Hazel and I frame her for it”?
She said and let out a sinister smile right after.
She then turned Kael's mom and stabbed her right in the chest.
“No”!
Kael's dad yelled but just when he was about to rush to her, one of the men moved so fast and slit his throat open.
The lady laughed so hard, watching both of them fall to the ground.
“If I can't rule besides Kael, then I'll just take his kingdom for myself”.
She said, and laughed even more.
She noticed Kael's dad was still moving so she moved closer and with her dagger, she began stabbing him over and over again, until she was very sure he was dead.
Kael's mom was yelling and crying from a distance, begging them to stop but they didn't stop until he was gone.
The lady stood up and looked at Kael's mom for a pretty long time before she spoke.
“She's not going to make it, text the bitch”.
She said and suddenly, Hazel began hearing her name, as she was gradually pulled back to reality.
Back to reality
Kael walked in and saw her lying on the floor, shaking uncontrollably as blood continued to rush out from her eyes, ears and nose.
He kept calling her, but she wasn't responding.
Scared, he made her sit and began shaking her, trying to snap her out of it and soon, it actually worked.
“Are you okay”?
He asked but she said nothing and just kept looking at him for a very long time before tears began pouring out of her already bleeding eyes.
“It was me… Kael… I killed them”.
