Chapter 99 Side Story 6

Chapter 99 Side Story 6
Jessica.

"Well, what do we have here?" Olivia speaks up, her voice distracting me. I glance at her, a puzzled look on my face. "A work of art indeed," she mutters as she circles me, her gaze assessing every part of my body. "Something we need to transform into something exquisite," she mutters to herself.

Clapping her hands three times, a group of women come out from the insides, forming a straight line as they stare at me. "You'll be in the hands of these impeccable women, and they'll transform you."

"Okay, please take good care of me," I mutter, bowing slightly.

"Now, let's get to work! We don't have all day," she yells, her voice turning professional in an instant. I'm led away by these women, and an exasperated sigh escapes my lips.

This is going to be a long day.

The group of women gently guide me to a plush chair, and I take a seat, my heart racing with a mix of excitement and nervousness. They huddle together, speaking in hushed tones as they assess me, making me feel like the subject of their scrutiny.

"She'll definitely need a full-body massage," one of them suggests, her finger pointing towards me as if marking areas of concern. "We have to revitalize that skin. Then, a fresh haircut, and of course, finding the perfect dress."

The room buzzes with a sense of urgency, and one of them remarks about the time. "This is going to take hours, and the party is tonight."

Olivia, the woman in charge, claps her hands with determination. "That's why we start now, ladies. We have work to do! Let's get to it."

And so, my transformation begins. I spend the entire day at the beauty place, surrendering myself to the capable hands of these experts. First, they treat me to a luxurious full-body massage, kneading away any lingering tension and leaving me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

As one of the skilled nail technicians trims and paints my nails with a shade that matches the gown to come, I can't help but admire their attention to detail. Every step of the process is precise and calculated.

Next up, the hairdresser takes the stage, and I watch in awe as she transforms my hair into a work of art. She expertly styles it, creating an elegant updo that complements my features perfectly.

Throughout the day, various pieces of jewelry are brought before me, and I get to choose the ones that speak to me the most. Each piece adds a touch of glamour to my appearance, and I'm starting to feel like a true princess.

As I enjoy a delicious meal provided by the beauty place, the women busy themselves selecting the gown that will be the centerpiece of my look for the evening. It's a moment of excitement and anticipation as they unveil the dress, and I can't help but feel grateful for their dedication and expertise.

When I finish my meal, I slip into the dress, twirling and posing in front of the mirror to assess how I look. It doesn't take long to find the perfect one – a brilliant sky-blue gown that radiates elegance when touched by light. It hugs my figure perfectly, accentuating my curves and flattering my legs.

"I like this one," I tell the women, who nod in agreement.

"It's perfect on you!" one of them exclaims, circling me. "We just need to make a few alterations here and there, and you'll be good to go!" They fuss over my hair once more, adding accessories and letting some tendrils fall freely, framing my face. My makeup gets touched up, and by the time they're done, I feel like I've undergone a complete transformation.

I nod, a satisfied smile on my face as I pick up an accompanying bag. "Thank you so much, ladies. I really appreciate it," I express, bowing slightly.

"We're delighted you like it!"

"It was our pleasure!" they chime together before giggling. Someone enters the room, momentarily interrupting our little celebration.

"I'm sorry, but your husband is here," she announces, her gaze fixed on me. I nod once, walking out from the interior of the beauty place to the reception area where Devon is seated. The moment he spots me approaching, he stands up, his eyes widening in awe. I suppress a smile, resisting the urge to run into his arms.

We meet halfway, and he gazes into my eyes as a grin spreads across my face. "Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe you right now," he murmurs, his voice sending shivers down my spine as he looks me up and down. "You're breathtaking, Jessica," he adds, his voice filled with genuine appreciation.

A blush creeps up my cheeks as I caress his face, and he catches my hands in his, planting a kiss against my palm. "Thank you, Devon. You make me feel beautiful," I whisper, and he leans in to kiss me, his lips soft yet firm against mine.

"At this point, I'd rather spend the entire night with you than go to that accursed business party," he murmurs against my lips, his voice low and his eyes glinting with secret promises.

"Come on, Dev. Don't let all my preparations go to waste," I say, giggling. We reach out to hold hands, and we start to walk out of the beauty place, not before he thanks Olivia, our host, who nods her head in appreciation. As we approach the car, the driver opens the door upon our arrival. Devon helps me in and follows after. The driver closes the door and gets in, driving us to the venue of the party.

Peering out of the window, I admire the sights and sounds of the city, wearing a soft smile. "Italy is such a beautiful country," I mutter aloud, and Devon quietly agrees, his hands unable to resist roaming my body.

"It truly is. Once we're done with our business, I'll take you out on a date. Or we could spend a day exploring the city. You choose." Devon says and I feel warmth spread around my body.

"I'd like that very much," I reply sincerely. He kisses my lips, keeping it brief. We arrive at the party venue, stepping out of the car as the valet takes it away. Devon guides me into the hall where the party is already in full swing. All eyes turn toward us the moment we walk in, but I don't have time to feel self-conscious as Devon wraps his arm around my waist, leading me further into the party.

We navigate through the crowd, acknowledging people who greet us. Devon grabs two glasses of wine from a passing waiter, handing one to me while holding onto the other. I nod my thanks, leaning closer to him.

Someone from the crowd recognizes us and walks toward us, wearing a huge smile and accompanied by a woman.
