Chapter 100 Side Story 7

Chapter 100 Side Story 7
Jessica.

"Devon! You made it!" He calls out cheerfully, giving Devon a friendly pat on the back. "I'm so glad to see you," he continues, his voice tinged with an Italian accent. Devon smiles warmly at him, standing a bit taller.

"Likewise, Alejandro. Thanks for inviting me here," Devon adds as he shakes Alejandro's hand. Alejandro turns to me, raising an eyebrow as he assesses me.

"And who is this stunning lady with you?" He asks, glancing at Devon. Devon's grip on my waist tightens as he nudges me closer to him.

"This is my wife, Jessica. Jessica, meet Alejandro Fernandez. He's the owner of the Callisto brewery," Devon introduces me to him.

"Oh, a beautiful woman, is she not? Enchanted to meet you," Alejandro says, taking my hand and kissing it. "My name is Alejandro Fernandez, but I'm sure you already know that."

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Alejandro," I reply, and he releases my hand, turning to look at Devon with a wide grin.

"What a lucky man you are, Devon, having such a beautiful woman by your side. I'm quite jealous. Mind if I steal her for a moment?"

"No, that won't be necessary," Devon replies, a hint of possessiveness in his voice. Alejandro bursts into laughter, clutching his stomach.

"Just a joke, Devon. Don't take it to heart," he says playfully. Devon gives him a wary glance before letting out a sigh.

"Well, now that we've exchanged pleasantries, can we move to the business at hand?"

"Of course! Come with me, please," Alejandro gestures to the seating area, and we follow him, leaving the crowd behind. Devon and Alejandro soon delve into business discussions, with me listening intently. Occasionally, they ask for my opinions on certain matters, making me feel like a part of the conversation.

At this point, I get a glimpse of how hardworking and persistent Devon can be, and I'm not surprised at how quickly he climbed the business ladder all those years. After some time, the conversation comes to a close, and Alejandro bids us farewell.

I look at Devon, feeling a bit nervous. "Did it go well? Was it successful?"

Devon nods, taking a sip of the wine in front of him as he gazes at me. I breathe a sigh of relief. "He wants to partner with me. Our objective here is complete."

"That's great. I'm glad you got it, though," I say, smiling at him. He chuckles.

"I didn't do anything. I personally think you greatly influenced his decision to partner with me."

"Don't be silly. I just sat here the whole time."

"Enchanting him with your beauty. Enchanting everyone with your beauty. I don't think any man in their right mind would say no to me after seeing you," he murmurs, kissing my lips.

I blush despite myself, playfully pushing Devon's face away with my hands, feigning a frown. "Be serious, Devon," I scold, but he just chuckles, grabbing my hands and planting kisses on my cheeks instead.

"Thanks for coming with me," he murmurs, his gaze soft.

"Thanks for bringing me here," I whisper to him, and he nods.

"Come on, there are more people I need to meet," he tells me as he stands up, helping me to my feet as well. I follow him, watching as he converses with other businessmen, feeling proud of the man I call my husband.

Time drags on, and soon I see subtle signs of exhaustion on Devon, though he does a terrific job of hiding it. Hoping to let him off, I nudge him, feigning a yawn.

"We should leave; I'm already feeling tired," I say, rubbing my neck.

"Really?" he asks, and I nod.

"Okay, let me just say goodbye to the host, and we'll be on our way," he tells me.

"Okay," I mutter, smiling at him. He does so, and soon we leave and return to the hotel. Stepping into our room, I let out a sigh of relief. Finally! Some alone time with my husband.

"Let me help with your dress," Devon offers, and I go to meet him, letting him unzip and undo all the buttons that held it in place. Letting the gown fall down to my waist, I turn around to look at him.

"Thank you," I say.

"You're welcome," he mutters distractedly, his gaze on my exposed skin. I hold my breath, feeling my heart rush to my cheeks as I look away. "I'll be in the bathroom," I announce, and he nods, stepping away from me. I get out of the gown and hurry into the bathroom, where I spend a great deal of time removing pins from my hair so it can fall free before having a quick shower.

Once I'm done, I dry myself and step into the room, where I find Devon engrossed in work on his laptop. My steps slow to a stop as I watch him, attracted to his subtle displays of masculinity. My mouth dries, and my fingers itch to touch him, my entire body warming up with desire.

Unable to tamp it down anymore, I take a deep breath and walk up to him, closing the laptop in front of him. Devon looks at me, a confused look on his face.

"What was that for?"

I shrug, settling myself on his lap. "I have no idea," I mutter primly. He stares at me for a while before breaking into a chuckle, resting his hands on my thighs, gripping them gently.

"Jessica," he drawls, his tone suggestive, and my heart starts to pound.

"Let's just say I need attention from my husband. You've been busy all day, working hard. And while I appreciate it, I need attention from my husband."

Devon smiles at me, running his fingers up and down my thighs, and I feel them twitch, his eyes twinkling. I feel blood rush to the surface of my skin but maintain a neutral expression, looking away from him.

"Look at me," he growls, and my breathing quickens. I look at him, and the smile that was there seconds ago has been wiped off, replaced with something that has liquid heat flooding my nether regions. Biting my lips, I position myself properly on his lap.

"You need attention?" He asks, and I nod. He grabs my waist, his gaze pinned on my chest. "Is this enough, or do I need to do more?"

I hesitate for a while before quietly letting it out. "More, please."

Nodding once, he pushes me closer, capturing my lips with his...
