Mia. 

I chuckle at the sight of Sean. 

Miracles do happen after all. After betraying me, he came back only to pretend nothing happened. To make matters worse, he is actively drinking and laughing with everyone. 

"Is that...? " Neera follows my gaze and I nod. 

Such people need to be eliminated instantly. Traitors are a very lethal poison.

"Yes, it's Sean. You want to keep your job, right?" I face her and she quickly nods. " Good. Bring me his head and you will be greatly rewarded" The playfulness from earlier is completely wiped from my face and so is Neera. 

I think at this point, I need to be smart enough to get Maxim. As they say, when the leader is gone, the puppets won't be there anymore. 

Maxim's people will keep coming all day and all night.

"I will help, beautiful" Ed follows Neera and I walk into the house in search of Fabio. 

It doesn't take me long to find him. He, Carl, Rico, and Marcus are sitting together and they appear to be in a deep conversation. 

They instantly stop talking when I approach and I ignore them. 

"Fabio. Come with me" I walk to the balcony and tiredly ease myself on the couch.

"Sean is here, we were just discussing what to do with him," He says leaning on the rail in front of me. 

"Sit down Fabio. Neera is taking care of that officer" The man nods sitting beside me. What is your type, Fabio? I wonder staring at him. The man is hot, and like every other guy in this game, he is grumpy with tainted skin. He smokes and drinks, he kills people without mercy and most importantly, he gets the job done. 

He is good with numbers, and computers, and he is the perfect boss material. What I like about Fabio, is that he was loyal to my father and he is to me. He never questioned Dad when he appointed him to work under me, even though I was way too young than him. 

He has always obeyed my word even when I am wrong. Fabio is always here to guide and protect me. 

He is my perfect successor. 

"Wow! Rico will kill me if he sees how you are staring at me right now. No woman has given me that look, I am honored, Mia" Fabio touches his chest and I scoff looking away. 

I forgot to mention that he is sometimes stupid. 

"Would you like a pregnant woman, carrying twins?" I slightly laugh staring down at my stomach. I dread to see myself when I am nine months old. Will I be able to even walk?

"As long as that pregnant woman has green eyes and a pretty smile, I will take the risk" He smirks and quickly bites his lip. Idiot.

"Just a warning though, the twin's father is a killer. Can you handle him?" If Rico heard me now. That man doesn't know what joking is.

"That's what the fight-to-death ring was about, right" 

"It was crazy" I can't believe we have come this far. " Anyway, first things first. Change of plans" I say turning to face the man beside me and he does the same.

"I am listening?" Fabio nods for me to go ahead.

"We need to be smarter than just marching to Maxim with guns and swords. We need a better plan"

"What do you have in mind?"

"To kill the enemy, we need to lure him out of his lair" I sigh facing my front. "My grandfather is not easy to kill, so I was thinking, what if we offer a peace treaty?"

"What?" Fabio yells, and instantly gets up and stands in front of me. " We are talking about Maxim, Mia" he crouches in front of me and I chuckle tapping his forehead twice with my index finger. 

"Patience, Fabio. As I was saying, Maxim already knows our next step. Why do you think Sean is here? This is what we are going to do, send him a message that I am deeply hurt by my mother's death. Since he is the only relative I am left, I want us to give this relationship a chance" Fabio's brows deeply furrows and I can tell he is confused as fuck from his eyes.

"Let Maxim know that I am willing to hand over the family heirloom to him as the token of the treaty" If I give him what he wants so much, he will seriously think about my offer.

"I don't know where you are going with this, your dad... " Fabio starts talking but I quickly cut him off.

"There will be four Mafia bosses as our witnesses, Carlos, Nikolai, Alessio, and You. After the signing, we will proceed to the biggest party of the year at my strip club to celebrate our new beginnings. During that party Fabio, you will do one more thing for me... " I whisper, moving forward as I silently stare into his eyes. 

The man stares back and after a minute or so, he finally nods in understanding. 

"Have I ever told you how proud I am of you? " Fabio stands up and sits back in his previous position.

"No" I chuckle, twisting the ruby ring on my middle finger. I have never taken it off ever since my dad handed it to me. The ring was given to him by his father after his grandfather.

It's a symbol of Vulcan's family lineage. The ruby ring is worth millions, and I am supposed to hand it over to my firstborn but I won't. Someone else will take it.

"I could have never thought of what you just told me, Mia. Can I tell you a secret? " He whispers and I nod staring at him. 

"I would have been the first person to enter that ring on your 18th birthday" I slightly raise my brows and laugh afterward. "Rico got it easy and he better be careful with you" he smirks and I point at my belly. 

Too late for that. 

"Make the party exquisite. I crave a fine red wine" I wink getting up. Time to devour that chicken.
