Chapter 103
“Here.”
“What about Alpha and Bravo teams?”
“They are here but they don’t know that Charlie team is bad. Based on what I am seeing, they have all been either bought off or replaced.”
“Send notice to Vicente as well as the Alpha and Bravo team leads to come here now.”
Cody nods and sends the notice out. Within a minute they are all at the door where Gavin opens it and allows them all to enter.
“We have a big issue.” Gavin says. “Cody please show them all.”
Cody pulls up the footage showing Charlie team taking Javier from the airport and then them at the warehouse killing him and coming back to the castle to guard.
“What the fuck?” Vicente yells out. “You and you deal with those fuckers now.” She says to the team leads.
“Yes, boss.” They say with a smile.
They all exit the office and head into the living room.
“I need you all to come to the middle of the room right now. Around Veronica. Now.” Vicente says in a stern tone.
“What the fuck Vic?”
“Don’t ask questions right now just do what I tell you. Protect your family.” Vicente says with pleading eyes.
Trish and the girls come down the stairs at that moment come running to him. He rushes to them and runs back into the living room with them. “Stay here and do not move until I tell you to.” He says in a demanding tone to Trish. She nods and holds the girls close to herself.
Vicente and Gavin stand on either side of the group. Vicente towards the outside and Gavin towards the front doors. There is shouting and gunfire from outside and then the front door opens to reveal a blood covered Alpha team leader.
“All clear boss.”
“Good set up a perimeter and no one in or out for that matter without my approval.”
“Yes boss.” He says with a smile as he uses his ear piece to relay all the orders.
“Vicente what is going on?” Luis finally asks.
“Charlie team was responsible. They are no more.” Vicente says matter of factly looking to Luis.
Luis nods and Gavin adds. “Jefe we have a team going to retrieve his body now.”
Luis starts crying again and holds onto the triplets tighter. “Daddy I can’t breathe.” Alexandra says in an annoyed tone causing everyone to laugh.
“I’m sorry angel.” Luis says with a chuckle as he kisses her forehead.
Trish heads into the kitchen to get some food ready for everyone for supper. Veronica falls asleep easily now since her heart still needs to heal. Luis covers her up and kisses her forehead before he ushers all the kids out of the living room for now.
“Can you all give me and Oct a minute please?” Luis asks the group and they all nod their heads heading into the kitchen and family room to help with food and hang out.
“Oct you are going to have to be strong for Gloria. She is going to have some issues now after what they did to her. It’s important that she knows you still love her no matter what.”
“Thanks dad. Can you tell me what happened to mom now?”
“Oh yeah that would be good. Well, she got shot twice actually. The one from the back is the worse. It nicked her heart but was a through and through so its not lodged anywhere. She just will need time to get back to where she was before. But if anyone can do it, it’s your mother.” Luis says with a chuckle.
“What about Gloria?”
“She has a broken wrist but other than that it’s really just bruises and scratches. I think the fact that they beat her will be the hardest thing for her to get past. Does she know who we are?”
Octavio looks down and shakes his head.
“It’s okay son. We understand. I do think she has the right to know and make a decision based on what she knows. Besides its not like you are still in this life. You both just have to be careful is all because of who we are.”
“I know. I just don’t want to lose her. What if she doesn’t want to stay because she’s scared? What if she finally hears about my history and she runs away.”
“I’m sorry son but that’s a chance you’ll have to take. If it is meant to be it will.”
“Oct.” A small voice from the doorway comes.
Both Octavio and Luis snap their gazes towards the door to find Gloria standing there.
“Oct. I am with you 100%. I could care less who your parents are. Even if you were taking over the family business it wouldn’t matter. I’ve fallen too hard for you and I’m not going anywhere.”
“Are you sure?”
“Positive. Now I do want to properly meet your family. And I want to know everything about you. Really I love you and want to know everything about you.”
“Okay but if it gets to be too much you have to tell me okay?”
“I will I promise.” She says with a smile as she sits beside him and holds his hand.
“This is my mother. La Jefa Veronica Molina. And this is my dad, El Jefe Luis Molina. He is not my biological father but he has raised me and I hope to one day be half the man he is.” Oct says as he smiles at Luis. Luis hugs him and then stands to shake Gloria’s hand.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Gloria Ramirez.”
“Wait, how do you know my last name?”
Luis smiles and says, “It’s part of our job to know everything about you.”
Gloria giggles and nods. “Makes sense I would want to as well in your line of work.”
“My real father is Christopher. You haven’t met him yet. Dad do you think she should know about what happened to mom?”
“It’s up to you but it would explain the family dynamic a little bit to her.” Luis says with a chuckle. “Your mother won’t mind as long as she is family.”
“She is.” Octavio says with a smile. “That is if you’ll have me my love.” He pulls out a ring box and then gets down on one knee. “Will you marry me?”
Gloria gasps and instantly starts crying. “Yes of course I will. I love you so much.” She flings her arms around his neck and hugs him. He kisses her lips and then puts the ring on her finger.
Luis hugs them both before they all sit back down.
“So, before we tell anyone I want you to know everything so you can decide what you want.”
“I told you I’m not going anywhere.”
“Still, I want you to know what you’re getting into then.” Octavio says with a chuckle. “When my mama was just 8 years old she was kidnapped from school by a man that her father hired to get rid of her. They both had her raped by four high school kids. She ended up pregnant with me from that.
The boys were told that they were going to be part of a porno and they even had them sign contracts so they didn’t know it was rape until mom found out about me. I was taken by her father and given to a horrible man named Pedro. He ended up being Luis’s half-brother and when Pedro came after my mama everything ended up coming to light after he tried to rape mama.”
Octavio stopped to catch his breath. Gloria still holding his hand. “Pedro changed my birth certificate and when mama killed him I took over his cartel until Luis came to rescue mama after I bought her to torture her for my self-proclaimed father’s death. It was shortly after that, that mama got videos of her rape and my birth and then Luis and Vicente had my DNA tested. We found out that I was the baby taken for her when she was only 8. They found the forged birth certificate and had a new one made but I was only 13 instead of the 16 Pedro told me I was.
After that, the boys that raped her were brought here where we figured out the rest about the contracts and who my real father was. He was really excited to meet me and be part of my life. Him and his whole family moved down here to be closer to me. I promise you can meet him.”
“I would love that.”
“So now you know about my horrible past. Do you still want to be with me?”
“Yes of course. I love you and some assholes that tried to destroy you cannot take away the man you turned into.”
Luis laughs and says, “I like her.”
“I do too dad.”
“Son, would you all consider coming back to us and helping us run stuff until the triplets get older? I know you don’t want this life but I’m hoping maybe we can maybe open a clinic for you or a hospital whatever you want. We miss you and just want you closer if we can.”
Octavio looks to Gloria. “Would you consider this life?”
“As long as I have you, I will take whatever we get. I love you so much.”
“I love you too.”
“You both decide what you want it to look like and your mother and I will make it happen. Whatever you want. I promise.” Luis says with a huge smile on his face.
“Thanks dad.” Octavio says as he hugs Luis again.
“Yes, thank you Jefe.” Gloria says with a chuckle.
“Gloria, dear, you don’t need to call me Jefe. Luis is fine. The same for Veronica, you don’t need to call her Jefa or Donna.”
“Wait Donna?”
“Oops I forgot. Mama used to be the Donna to the deadliest mafia in New York the Sanchez Mafia. After she got rid of all the betrayers, she brought all those loyal here to the cartel and started over basically. I will warn you though, do not be disrespectful to her.”
“Actually, I have heard about the Sanchez mafia from one of my case studies I’m working on right now.”
“What does it say?” Luis asks concerned.
“It’s about an FBI agent that infiltrated and then left the FBI to go back to the Donna.”
Luis and Octavio both laugh and look at each other. “Gavin.” Luis calls out.
Gavin comes into the room. “Jefe?”
“Gloria please meet the agent, Gavin.”
Gloria’s eyes go wide.
“It’s nice to meet you Gloria. I’m former FBI agent Gavin Sanchez.”
Gloria chuckles and shakes his hand. “I didn’t think it was true. I thought it was just a made-up case study.”
“Dad, she’s in the process of studying for her bar exam.”
“We can always use a good lawyer in the family.” Luis says with a chuckle.
“Done.” Gloria says with a smile.
“We’ll set you up with your own practice too that you can run as you see fit. We really just want you all to have whatever you want in life.” Luis says with a big smile on his face.
“Yes we do. Only the best.” Veronica says in a weak voice.
“Baby. Are you feeling okay?” Luis asks as he grabs her hand and kisses her forehead.
“I’m just exhausted. I’m really hungry though.”
“I’ll get you some food mama.”
“Can you all give me a few minutes with Gloria?” Veronica asks looking at Luis.
