Chapter 61 Wont Be The Same

Chapter 61 Wont Be The Same
Dominic snorted in annoyance and pointed his phone screen at Marcus. “He's long-lived, isn't he? We just talked about him and he's already calling!”

Marcus just shrugged, while Dominic chose to answer Bryce's call.

“Mr. Johansen,” he said coldly after picking up the phone.

Marcus immediately frowned. He moved his lips to form the words, 'Turn on the speakerphone!
Dominic understood and did so immediately. Now his phone was on the table, no longer next to his ear.

“Mr. Cavendish, I'm looking for Rossie. I want to talk to her about something.” Bryce's voice sounded a little anxious.

“Oh, why don't you just call him?” Dominic replied indifferently.

He listened to Bryce's long sigh. It was clear that he was not happy with Dominic's answer.

“If I could call him, I wouldn't be calling you. He blocked me, and since I often see you two together, I thought you would know where he is now!” Bryce sounded like he was trying to hold back his emotions.

“Oh, Rossie is busy right now!” Dominic exclaimed.

“Then when can I call her and talk to her?”

“She'll always be busy when it comes to you.”

Dominic was always friendly and polite. But Bryce was an exception. Marcus smiled cynically, imagining how desperate Bryce was to find Rossie.

Meanwhile, Bryce was silent, his face now cloudy.

“You have to realize why Rossie blocked your number. It's clear that she doesn't want you to contact her anymore. Even though you two aren't officially divorced yet, you shouldn't bother her. At the very least, that's the respect you should have as fellow human beings!”

Dominic continued without giving Bryce a chance to defend himself, “Second, I also know what happened during the charity auction.”

Bryce's eyes widened in response. His heart ached as if an invisible force was pressing down on him.
The Cavendish brothers became terrifying men when it came to anything related to their family, especially Rossie. On the one hand, they were kind and compassionate men; on the other, they had a brutal, unforgiving side.

“About that...” Bryce paused for a moment, still trying to choose his words carefully so that Dominic would not misunderstand him.

“I don't know what your limits are. All I know is that you have crossed mine.” Dominic's tone became sharper and colder. His gaze was full of anger and hatred at that moment.

“Rossie is my limit!” he said. “This will be the last time I answer your call, Mr. Johansen. Consider this my final warning to you to protect your fiancée and your family from causing any more trouble with Rossie!”

“If you cause any more trouble with Rossie, then be prepared to face the consequences!” Dominic exclaimed before hanging up the phone and exhaling deeply.

“Huh! That bastard really has no shame!” said Marcus.

Dominic just nodded.

Meanwhile, at the Johansen family residence.

Bryce stood in front of the window staring at his cell phone. He slowly tightened his grip on the phone. He could feel his heart pounding painfully again.

Right now, Dominic was the only person who could serve as a bridge between him and Rossie, but that man didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore. He wanted to keep trying to contact her, but wouldn't that be the same as offending the Cavendish family?

Bryce felt empty inside. He began to panic because it was very likely that he would not be able to contact Rossie again. The girl was really going to leave his life.

Bryce took a cigarette from his jacket pocket and started smoking to vent his frustration. At the same time, Bryce realized that he was acting more strangely every day.

He hadn't smoked for the past three years, but he started smoking again just because he missed his ex-wife, the person he never loved.

Meanwhile, Rossie was still at Dave's workshop, helping him work. She didn't care that it was almost midnight.

Rossie had dismantled hundreds of ore at that point. She had even sharpened and made many bracelets, each worth at least four digits. However, those bracelets were worthless to her.
For Rossie, Lucia's bracelet was unmatched.

She gritted her teeth in frustration, her eyes red. She continued to sharpen the raw gemstone blocks on the machine.

Her fingers, which were usually white and slender, were now covered in scratches. Rossie had only one desire. She wanted to make a bracelet identical to Lucia's gift. Otherwise, she didn't know how she would face Lucia in the future.

At that moment, a loud rumbling sound came from outside.

It was so loud that even the metal door began to shake.

However, Rossie remained calm. All she cared about was polishing the gem.
A handsome young man with slightly messy hair stood in front of the open door. Rossie was taken aback for a moment.

“Ethan...”

This time, Ethan was not dressed so neatly; he was in his other guise as a musician. Ethan, who was a doctor by profession, also loved music very much, and in his spare time, he wrote songs or posted videos of his performances on his TikTok account and gained more than a million followers.

Ethan immediately approached her, took a chocolate bar from his pocket, and opened the wrapper to give it to Rossie. "I know you're still working hard, this is Belgian chocolate to improve your mood. It's your favorite, right?“

Rossie smiled and immediately took the chocolate from her third brother.

”Feel better?“ asked Ethan.

Rossie nodded.

”I'll help you, even if it's just massaging your shoulders!" Ethan put his arm around Rossie's waist and invited her inside.

Rossie nodded.

Even though she had worked until dawn, Rossie couldn't make the perfect bracelet. She fell asleep among the piles of ore.

Dave had prepared the guest room for the young woman. Ethan carried her in his arms and walked slowly towards the room. Finally, he carefully laid Rossie on the bed while Marcus watched intently.

“We'll wait for him here until he wakes up. After all, this is Dave's place!” Marcus exclaimed coldly.

Ethan nodded.
