Chapter 22 Deja Vu
Rossie smiled cynically after saying that. She already had an idea of what would happen next. Soon, the Jones family would be destroyed, and their only option would be to ask Bryce for help.
"Ha ha, Bryce Johansen, I can't wait to see you act like a hero to your future wife," Rossie muttered.
Darren was still watching Rossie quietly. He tried to guess his boss's intentions. 'Why does Miss Rossie seem to be paving the way for Miss Jones to be with Mr Bryce?
At 8:00 p.m., during prime time for social media use, a shocking news story emerged. The news was immediately shared millions of times by netizens.
"Breaking News! Nexus Group Terminates Cooperation Contract with JHome due to substandard product quality."
The article clearly stated that JHome provided low-quality furniture for the Nexus Group's luxury apartments.
Upon reading the news, the Jones family was unable to contain their shock. Moreover, their public relations were so weak that they were unable to control the negative comments attacking them. For every negative comment that was deleted, ten more would appear, and so on.
"The Jones family? Isn't that the family of Bryce Johansen's new fiancée? I didn't expect them to let this happen before the wedding. Are they trying to trap the Johansen family?"
"I thought Bryce was getting a conglomerate's daughter as his wife, but it turns out to be a family of fraudulent merchants."
"They are just as guilty of fraud as the Nexus Group. No wonder the Nexus Group is angry and spreading this news. That's what happens when you cheat in business."

Bryce heard this news and rubbed his head again in response.
"The Nexus Group holds a prestigious position in Aether. They lead in various industries at the top of the pyramid. If the Nexus Group decides to take action against the Jones Group, other companies will certainly follow them. No one wants to get into trouble with that giant group."
Steven, who was nearby, remained silent. He did not feel sorry at all for what happened to the Jones family. He was actually curious about the continuation of this drama.
"The stock price is predicted to reach its lowest point tomorrow morning. Fortunately for the Jones Group, they are not a publicly traded company," continued Bryce.
"The Big Boss Lady suffers from high blood pressure. I'm afraid she'll be angry when she hears this news," said Steven.
Bryce glanced at him sharply.
"These are just accusations. There is no evidence. Maybe it's just rumours from competitors." Bryce sighed heavily.
"I heard that the Nexus Group has a new general manager. He is leading the effort to end all cooperation with the Jones Group. Within a week, all companies working with the Nexus Group cancelled their contracts with the Jones Group."
"How can a general manager have so much power?"
"Because she's Mr Cavendish's daughter, Roseanne Cavendish."
Bryce gasped at the name, as if he was experiencing déjà vu.
Bryce furrowed his brow and muttered, "Roseanne Cavendish?"
Bryce thought for a moment. The name Roseanne reminded him of Rossie. He himself knew that Rose Winter wasn't his ex-wife's real name, could it be?
Bryce shook his head and thought to himself, 'It can't be her. There's no way the daughter of the Cavendish family would be interested in marrying me. If she is indeed the daughter of the Cavendish family, they should have attended our wedding.
"I've gotten some information about Miss Roseanne," said Steven.
Bryce's eyes lit up. "Tell me!"
"The Johansen family deliberately hid their daughter for security reasons. According to the information I got, Miss Roseanne was educated abroad."
Bryce nodded and smiled. 'I knew it, it's not her.'
"I heard that wealthy families have unique ways of educating and protecting their children. Maybe the Cavendish family wanted their daughter to stay out of the spotlight."
"Hmm, that could be, and the only photo of her that's circulating is a childhood photo that was leaked while she was watching a parade." Steven showed Bryce the photo.
"Huh!" Bryce snorted in annoyance.
"Calm down, Mr Johansen!"
Unbeknownst to Steven, Bryce suddenly remembered Rossie. If the photo was taken 20 years ago, that meant Miss Roseanne was the same age as Rossie.
Bryce stared at the photo. The more he looked at it, the deeper the wrinkles on his forehead became. For some reason, he felt that the girl in the photo resembled Rossie.
"Damn! We're divorced. Why do I keep thinking about my ex-wife? Since when did I become so sentimental?" Bryce grumbled to himself.
Suddenly, the voice of a servant was heard from the door. "Mr Bryce, Mr Gerald is calling for you. He wants to talk about something."
When he got home, Bryce found his mother crying in her husband's arms in the living room. Even though she was no longer young, his mother was still crying like a child.
"My husband, my best friend, Daisy, is really pitiful. She married a good man and finally enjoyed her happy days. She called me last night, crying and saying she was very depressed and too ashamed to meet our family. "
" How could this humiliation happen? We are about to become a big family. Don't act like strangers. "
Gerald rubbed her back gently and spoke in a soothing tone." Once Bryce arrives, we'll talk about this and find a solution."
Whining and acting weak was Miranda's way of driving Bryce's mother away. That was how she earned the title of lady of the house. She had completely charmed Gerald. He was attracted to that type of woman.
