Chapter 46 Bestie Mom
MIA
Does she mean his actual birth mother?
My eyes scanned her body which was facing me in her tight brown dress that stopped below her knees.
She has a head-turning hourglass figure, long dark hair, and flawless skin.
I sensed Coco walking past me but I couldn't help but think about Jay Jay's dad at the moment.
He has a wife.
He has a very beautiful wife like this and he is.....
He is hitting on me?
I felt a tiny sting in my heart as I stared at her.
And she is Jay Jay's mother.
Jay Jay looks calm with her.
Just like.... Just like he is with me.
Another tiny sting.
God, she is really his mother.
But where has she been all this time?
Rowland walked into the kitchen with Coco following him behind.
They are all staring at Jay Jay's mother.
"I am sorry, ma'am," Rowland said, making her look at him. "But you hand him over to his nanny."
I furrowed my brows.
She scoffed. "Excuse me?"
She turned her head to me, making me gulp slightly. She scanned me from head to toe.
Unpleasantly.
I lowered my gaze and fiddled with my fingers a bit.
"Who the hell is that?" She asked.
"That's Lil Kai's nanny," Rowland answered.
She scoffed. "How can that thing be my kid's nanny? Who the fuck hired her?"
I don't think she is nice.
"The boss," Rowland answered.
There was a little silence.
"Whatever. I wanna spend time with my son so you and the damn maid can go fuck yourselves." She said, taking steps towards the door.
Rowland blocked her room.
I furrowed my brows in confusion.
What is going on?
"Ma'am, please..."
"What the fuck is your problem, hijo de puta?"
"Ma'am..."
"Do you want to fucking lose your damn job?" she asked.
"The instruction was that he stay with the nanny till he gets back," Rowland said.
She scoffed, looking away as she placed her hand on her hip while holding Jay Jay in the other.
I looked at Coco. She still looks unsettled.
Why is she....
"You have to hand him over, ma'am," Rowland said sternly, extending his hands to her.
She didn't obey but glared at him.
"What is going on here?" A familiar voice asked, walking into the kitchen and taking everyone's attention.
It was Naomi.
Naomi stood close to the entrance, staring at Jay Jay's mother cheerfully.
"Oh good day, ma'am Isadora. You are here." Naomi said, smiling.
Or smirking?
I don't know. I don't understand what is going on. Why does Rowland want to take Jay Jay from his....
"Is there a problem, ma'am?" Naomi asked.
"How dare you ask me that, Naomi?" Jay Jay's mom asked.
Naomi raised her hand a bit in surrender.
"Ma'am," Rowland called, gesturing at Jay Jay.
"Fine," Jay Jay's mother placed Jay Jay in Rowland's arms. "But enjoy your time here. Cause you are leaving tomorrow morning. Madre de puta," she said, walking towards the door.
She stared at Naomi unpleasantly.
Naomi didn't move but held her gaze.
Jay Jay's mother walked away.
Naomi scoffed and turned to us.
Her eyes moved to me momentarily.
"Excuse me," she said and walked away.
"Here," Coco took my attention. She is handing Jay Jay over to me. I took him from her.
"Coco, what is....."
"You two have to go back to your room right now." Rowland chipped in.
I looked at him.
He gestured towards the door.
I looked at Coco.
She nodded.
I held Jay Jay closer and headed towards the door.
MINUTES LATER
MIA'S ROOM
Staring at the compound through my windows with Jay Jay in my arms, all I can think of is the scene in the kitchen.
Why was Rowland trying to take Jay Jay away from his mother?
Why was Coco unsettled?
And what's with Naomi's confident smile?
I understand nothing.
I heaved a sigh.
I looked at Jay Jay. He is moving his little toy and saying this.
I smiled at his adorableness.
My bestie met his mom today. He looked calm and happy to see her.
Blood never lies.
Too bad they had to take him from her.
Jay Jay needs his mother.
Why were they like that?
It is confusing.
I walked towards the bed and placed Jay Jay in the center. I sat next to him as he played with his toy.
He looks like his mother though. He has her dark hair but he has his dad's eyes.
My heart reacted at the thought of his dad.
I looked at my fingers, recalling that night.
The time at the company's restroom.
His negative intentions and all.
Ugh, why would he do all that when he has a very stunning wife?
Touch another woman when you are married?
I heaved a sigh, rubbing my temples as a lot of feelings bombarded me.
I should stop thinking about this already.
His wife is back. I don't have to worry about him appearing in my room anymore.
Or watching me.
He will be busy with her.
I shook the thought off. I moved the strand of my hair behind my ear as I leaned closer to Jay Jay.
"Let's play, Jay Jay."
NIGHT HOURS
"Jay Jay, not too tight," I said, trying to take my strand of hair from his tight grip as I walked along the hallway with Rowland following us behind.
It is time for dinner already and Coco came to call us.
I guess Jay Jay and I are not having it in our room.
And he might see his dad.
That's if he is back.
I haven't seen him since that night.
It should be a good thing.
It IS a good thing.
But he hasn't seen Jay Jay for almost forty-eight hours.
Isn't he worried?
We got to the stairs and I moved my eyes towards the dining table.
I can't see Jay Jay's dad. Just the familiar mean man I know as Tyrell and the maids setting the table.
I felt an inch of disappointment within me as I descended the stairs.
I suppressed the feeling as I headed towards the table. I placed Jay Jay in his seat before sitting on my.
Tyrell is already eating.
"Hello, big guy," Tyrell said to Jay Jay while chewing his meal.
His voice still scares me. He tortured me the first day he took me from the street. Being here alone with him is uncomfortable.
Okay, I am not alone. Jay Jay is here.
I picked up Jay Jay's napkin and fixed it around his neck.
"Funny how you're still here till now," Tyrell said, adding to my discomfort.
I looked at him.
He is staring at me in a very disturbing way as he chews his meal.
"An abductor chilling in this fucking roof."
I lowered my gaze, rubbing my hands slightly on my lap.
"You're really good, you know."
I flicked my eyes at him.
"You managed to get the boss to keep you here. He never let offenders breathe freely. You should be dead by now."
I furrowed my brows.
"But nah. You are surviving perfectly in here. You good."
I looked at him.
He scoffed as he ate.
"Eating without us, Tyrell," a familiar female voice called.
It was Imani.
She is walking towards the table.
I shifted a bit.
Two monsters.
God, Jay Jay, I will need more than you feel safe here.
I looked around for Rowland.
He is not here.
Where did he go?
"Y'all ain't as hungry as I am," Tyrell said as Imani sat in her seat which is between Jay Jay and the head seat.
"Yeah right," Imani said.
I fixed Jay Jay's napkin all over again just to ease myself of the discomfort these two are giving me.
Don't tell me we will be eating with just them.
Caleb should join us too, please.
Or I will just go to the kitchen.
Imani, please send me to the kitchen as usual.
The kitchen is......
I froze at the sight of the boss and Jay Jay's mom descending the stairs together.
The boss is dressed in black joggers and a black short-sleeved shirt left unbuttoned and showing off his white tank top.
I haven't seen him for almost forty-eight hours. But it feels like a long time.
My heart picked up as he approached with one hand in his pocket.
His height is incredible. He is so tall.
And very muscular.
His glowing skin is always a sight and his chiseled face.
I don't think I have thought about his good looks until now.
He is not just good-looking.
He is dangerously good-looking.
Is that even something?
I just feel like he looks good in a very dangerous way.
And he is....
Jay Jay's mom held his arm, snatching me off my thoughts. He looked at her.
She smiled up at him. She could barely reach his shoulder but to be honest, they look good together.
I felt the familiar tiny sting in my heart as I watched them approach.
I averted my eyes from them, suppressing the weird feeling as I repeated Jay Jay's napkin.
I sensed his dad taking his seat and his mom sitting next to him but right opposite Imani.
The maids served us food and picked up Jay Jay's tiny spoon.
"Hey, sweetie. Mi amor." His mom said to him with a fake baby voice.
Jay Jay chuckled happily.
His mother chuckled.
"Look at him, Papi." she placed her hand on the boss's hand, attracting my eyes. "He is so adorable."
I flicked my eyes at the boss.
He is sipping his drink.
I returned my gaze to Jay Jay's meal.
"You are so adorable, sweetie. Eat well, mi bebe." his mother said.
"Can we eat in peace, please?" Imani asked with a sigh.
Jay Jay's mom chuckled.
"Yes, of course, Imani. Eat in peace. That's all you know."
"The fuck did you just say to me?"
I looked at Jay Jay's mom. She didn't respond but ate her meal confidently.
"Kai," Imani called.
"Big Kai," Jay Jay's mom corrected. "Stop with the Kai already. Show some freaking respect."
Imani scoffed.
I moved my eyes to the boss.
He is eating nonchalantly.
I returned my gaze to Jay Jay, feeding him his meal.
The table was silent for a while.
I can't wait to finish this meal and go back to my room.
The more I am seated here the more I feel terrible for something I didn't agree to.
I didn't agree to be pleasured by someone who belongs to another.
I feel more terrible because I enjoyed it.
God, I need to stop thinking about this. It is making it worse.
It ends now. She is here now.
He won't be coming after me again. Or watch me.
I need my full privacy.
I also need to.....
"What the....why the hell are you feeding him like that?"
I looked at Jay Jay's mom. She is staring at me.
"Look at his mouth. It is messed up," she said, gesturing at Jay Jay.
My heart picked up as I looked at Jay Jay. He has an oatmeal stain on his lips and a little on his napkin.
Wha... what's wrong with it?
That's how he eats. I will clean him up later.
"What are you, a dummy?" she asked.
I was taken aback by her questions.
"Papi, where did you get this bitch from anyway?" she asked the boss, making me look at him.
He is sipping his drink without saying a word.
Or looking my way.
"She is not fit to be our son's nanny." She added.
I tightened the spoon in my hand.
Imani scoffed. "Bitch, please, like you weren't a crack mother."
I furrowed my brows a bit, flicking my gaze to Jay Jay's mom. She is scowling at Imani.
"The fuck did you just say to me?"
"You heard me."
"Watch yourself, Imani." Jay Jay's mother warned.
"Double watch yourself, Isa-crackerdora mommy." Imani deadpanned.
"Puta de...."
"One...." The boss spoke up. "...more word from you two and your asses are out of my fucking house."
"Kai, you can't be....." Imani trailed off, making me look at the boss.
He is staring sternly at Imani.
His eyes moved to me.
My heart raced.
I lowered my gaze, moving the spoon on Jay Jay's meal.
MINUTES LATER.....
I washed my hands in the sink while holding Jay Jay in my other hand. We finished dinner a few minutes ago and I just finished preparing all Jay Jay needs for tonight.
But my thoughts can't keep still.
"She is not fit to be our son's nanny."
Her words repeated in my head.
Like I asked to be one.
I was forced to.
Today is my mother's and sister's birthday but I am not there with them to celebrate their day because I am stuck here being a nanny I didn't sign up for!
No offense, Jay Jay.
I love you.
My only best friend.
I held Jay Jay up, smiling at him.
His eyes moved dully.
"Are you sleepy, buddy?"
He yawned, making me chuckle.
"Let's get you to bed." I held and rested his head on my shoulders before picking up the lunch box filled with Jay Jay's things and walking towards the entrance door.
Walking out of the kitchen, something caught my eye in the living room.
